    Hi Odinson.
    Long-time follower here.
I agree that this can be a case for mediterranean draw but not for thumbdraw. Please here me out.
The slight cant is needed in asiatic archery like Turkish shooting for several reasons:
    1. Keeps the arrow in place especially if mounted since the arrow is placed on the outside and not the inside of the bow (like in mediterranean draw).
    2. The cant also allows for some advantage in gauging distance since both eyes are open in asiatic.
    3. The cant helps the bow achieve either active khatra or passive khatra.
All the best Sir. From the Philippines.

Appreciate the response. I personally find less need for cant with thumb draw than Mediterranean. A few things I've found:
      1. The draw with the thumb in Turkish Archery, which im sure you're aware that I teach, does the work in keeping the arrow against the riser. I've got a few vids demoing this.
      2. I always shoot both eyes open regardless of style. Gauging distance for me is typically done using a gap method with either style.
      3. With khatra, it is dependent on you either not knowing your arrow spine (which is easy to do now) or having a thick riser/arrow pass. Even with khatra though, you will I still use the same principles described in this video
In all of my vids, shooting for speed, accuracy or distance I still follow the exact same principles I show in this vid.
