Again. Southeast Iowa says another great great song redone by Marty I've been binge watching your videos. It's so nice sitting by the campfire playing some of the songs you have taught me. Other people will sing along. I sure can't sing. But what a awesome feeling that is. Does something for the soul playing guitars. It's therapy. Great job making this your own.
Great lessons Marty. I have been looking for someone who teaches music to those who already know basic chords etc. Love that you play the entire song after you introduce the chords.
Thanx scott, I'm glad you like my vids, i try to keep it simple and and I hope when I play the whole song, you are playing with me. That's how I learned years ago, by playing along with others. Thanx and good luck!!!
Love that song. I have a friend that is his opening song when he is playing a gig. I have not seen him in years but love this song it brings me back when I was home I used to listen.
Thanx x's 3!!! I'm glad you like my vids and am happy to help!! hey, I am trying to reach 100k subscribers so tell your friends about me, it would be greatly appreciated, thanx for tuning in, good luck to you and take care
that's such a great tune by Van Morrison and surely love the Colin James cover too. I'm very surprised to hear you mention Colin James. I really haven't heard many people know of him much less mention his work. thanks for the tutorial. they're awesome and you do awesome.
Thanks Marty !!! A really Great Song , I really enjoy your teachings. This is music ! pple now days have lost the style of writing such songs as theses . Have a great day sir .
You are very welcome. I agree, it's tough to find a good song to learn these days, they are out there, but harder to find then years ago, thanx for tuning in
Hey Marty, Just looked at this one. I was surprised you did not play it with a slap strum. I have played it that way for years and it always seems to fit in nicely. I miss gigging here in the Fort Lauderdale Bars but Covid has us all on hold. Regards, and Hope you are well.
You are very welcome, I'm glad you like it. Hey, I am trying to reach 100k subscribers and would really appreciate it if you tell your buds about my channel, Thanx for helping me spread the word!! and thanx for tuning in and take care to you and yours.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I will try my best!! Hey, I am trying to reach 100k subscribers so tell your friends about me, it would be greatly appreciated, thanx for tuning in, good luck to you and take care
Thanx, I'm glad you liked it. Hey I am trying reach 100k subscribers, please pass the word along about my channel to your buds, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx for tuning in, Take care to you and yours
GREAT channel PartyMarty. I've been playing for 30+ years but that doesn't make me a teacher. In fact I kinda suck at it. I was looking for some good tutorials for a friend starting out. We both love this song and I think this will help her realize she CAN make music and art....because that's what it's all about....not scales, modes and arpeggios...they're important, but just building blocks, ya know? I'm with Dante Molino below... thanks for singing, it's such and enhancement that few do. You have a good voice though....mine sounds like someone swinging a cat by the tail....but that doesn't stop me. Do you have a Patreon?
LOl!! That's great, I am glad you are playing more. Hey I am trying reach 100k subscribers, please pass the word along about my channel to your buds, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx for tuning in, Take care to you and yours
Thanx, I`m glad I could help you. That's a great tune. I have a lot of requests I am trying to answer right now as well as some of my own faves I am trying to get posted but I will keep your request in mind for a possible future project, thank You for tuning in and good luck
When you go to that 4th chord it just takes into territory that is so unlike the Van version it throws me off... You seem to add it two extra times compared to the original song... I always liek to check out how you do songs though, as I respect that you always do a good arrangement.
Thanx, yeah this is my take on it. I like to make the tune my own a little, that's is the beauty of music, you can do whatever you want as long as it sounds good. Thanx for your comment. hey, I am trying to reach 100k subscribers so tell your friends about me, it would be greatly appreciated, thanx for tuning in, good luck to you and take care
@@partymartyeasyguitartunes1711 I agree. I remember reading an interview by Frank Zappa way back when where he commented on people coming up to him and playing one of his songs note for note from the album. His remark was "I can't play it note for note. I play it the way I feel that night". I really took that to heart.
If you're having a lot of trouble, might wanna substitute Fmajor7 while you practice the effing F. Fmaj7 is like a C chord but shift your middle and ring finger towards the high e
Hi Marty, I don't comment on videos much, but I keep coming back to your lessons. Thanks for donig these.
Thank you for watching and so glad you keep coming back, much appreciated the support!! Take care and good luck

Super, it makes such a difference when a teacher sings as they show chords. I'm not much of a singer but it doesn't stop me. Thanks man!
I can't agree more.
Why should you let it stop you? It sure didnt stop Bob Dylan
Love that song. I have a friend that is his opening song when he is playing a gig. I have not seen him in years but love this song it brings me back when I was home I used to listen.

marty have you ever thought about putting a song book togeather with all the words and chords? i think it would be a huge seller
That's is a great suggestion. Not as of yet, but i will keep it in mind for a possible future project
Great!
Finally! I've been looking for a good lesson on this. Thanks, Marty. What strumming are you using?
hey marty, just a thought, it would be nice if you played a little demo of the song before toy taught it.
I thought I did??? I'll keep your suggestion in mind for a possible future project, thanx for tuning in
It's not suspending the c. You're hammering the 3rd from the 2
How about your take on "that's how strong my love is"
I’m not familiar with that one but I will add it the the possible
Projects list. Thanx for tuning in
Very nice. What model is your Gibson?
Thank you, it's a 2005 Gibson Songwriter Deluxe and it's my fave. Thanx for tuning in
Oh my! Marry me. ❤😊

The F chord, my nemesis :(
If you're having a lot of trouble, might wanna substitute Fmajor7 while you practice the effing F. Fmaj7 is like a C chord but shift your middle and ring finger towards the high e
... You've just shown me a way to play a whole bunch of my favourite songs :o :D Thank you for the suggestion :)
Daniel Gould No problem, brother! Keep practicing the effin F, though....we'll eventually get that. And then the B minor will be easy?
B is my other nemesis, which is annoying because damn near every Steam Powered Giraffe song uses F and B :P Thanks :)
.
Wheres the riff going into the bridge? . Thats the whole damn song
Nice job Marty, thank you.
Thank you very much, you are very welcome. I’m glad you like it, thanx for watching
