This is amazing. I always thought PP could be used for kinetic type, but I just could not get my head around how to begin. Thanks for this. I really appreciate it.
hyacinthdibley Thank you for interest in the video. Well powerpoint isn't the strongest animation software but it definately is "drag & drop", easy, fast and fun to work with so if you want to enter animations it;'s the perfect tool :)
+Nicole Downing Thank you Nicole, that is very nice to hear and I'm honored that you find them good & useful :) Have fun with the content you can find around my channel
Great video. One question, how do you get that palette of colors at the bottom that you use the eyedropper to "pick up"? Is that something built into PowerPoint or external? Thanks!
Gary Bisaga hey mate, no it's external :) You have two amazing resources towards that let me share them with You: 1. color.adobe.com/pl/create/color-wheel/ 2. www.colorhunt.co/ also nice :) Enjoy, adobes "Color" is a monster in terms of color choice ;) I just made a screenshot and pasted it into ppt
PowerPoint & After Effects /w Andrzej Pach Thank you so much. That's awesome. I really like that "colorhunt" site. Really good for us non-designers. BTW I signed up for your Udemy course, I'm sure you'll hear from me over there. :-)
Gary Bisaga Thank you Gary, much appreciated! I think you will learn a lot of great stuff and if you need any help just post a discussion inside the course and I'll be sure to help or give you feedback
+Sara Ozlevi Hey :) I went to Adobe Color ( color.adobe.com/explore/newest/ ) made a screenshot of the palette I wanted, and then just CTRL+V pasted into PowerPoint. Afterwards I clicked on the image and cropped it, so it's smaller
Jesus Arcia Hey. I did use exactly "Mistral" font, but this is a paid font I purchased a while ago. If you are asking about type that is generally called a "handwritten" font. You can find plenty of them for substitution here: www.dafont.com/search.php?q=handwritten or here: www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/list/find_fonts?q[term]=handwritten&q[search_check]=Y There are plenty of free fonts which will do the job!
+PowerPoint & After Effects /w Andrzej Pach you're welcome, you explained it perfectly, though may I ask you in what format should I save it to put the clip in an editing program? thanks
Amazing, pro video editing tools take hours to make that effect and here we go... who could have think of that. But now what would be the best way to use it as an overlay on top of video to keep it nice and smooth and ideally 50 fps?
What do you mean overlay on top of video. You will not be able to keep it as nice and as smooth since powerpoint doesn't render 50fps videos. You could eventually export this animatoin to a video file, and then put this video file in other video editing software over the animation you need, or overlap it in PowerPoint in a similar way. But powerpoint has only very basic video editing possibilities, so you have to be aware of that :)
Thank you, so is it possible to make something like all the Lyrics Video Clips do but using the ease and speed of Power Point and export it and overlay it on top of some video footage? The problem is I can see no typical export file formats to export the presentation with transparent background to put it back in any editing software. Any ideas, suggestions?
This is awesome, however, when I save it as a movie (.mov file) and play it as a movie file, it does not play the animation in the movie. May you help me please?
ParmMasuta Hi mate, you most probably use Microsoft Offive 2011 for Mac is that right ? I know that certain animation options are different in that version and I have no MAC computer to test that by myself. I would recommend making a basic 2 slide animation and then testing untill you get a desired effect. You can work with the TRANSITIONS tab and on the right side the TIMING section. Click the checkmark for "after 0 seconds", play around in this section. Second thing to do is when you EXPORT the video to a video review all options there are. For example once you hit FILE > EXPORT > CREATE A VIDEO > tell powerpoint to use pre-recorded timings and narrations. I am not certain that Your version has the same options but thats the only possibility to try to fix it afaik.
ParmMasuta As far as students in my courses told me, the Office Mac 2011 version doesn't have the BUMP effect on the end of animatoins, but you can instead of that add another animation on top of the motion and somehow work that out. Well you just have to have fun while working, and I think the animation itself will look interesting if you try
+Hanh Vo Actually it does make a big change! Because this way the "fly in" animation doesn't fly in the entire way, from a side of the slide, but only the finishing move is visible, and this is recieved as a more kinetic type of motion. Because a "Fly in" animation is boring, but a "fly in" animation which starts in the middle of a slide looks cooler! :)
+Boucha Nagendran Yes but it's difficult because you would have to split the song and play like 20seconds on each slide to not make too much on 1 slide. You can watch my tutorial on how to add music to a presentation in another video on my channel , and combine those two tutorials :P
Excellent tutorial! No time wasted. All crystal clear. Well done!
+ASMR Book Reader Thank you so much for the nice comment, yeah I try to teach like that :)

Thank you very much:))) you are very kind...
Nice Effect. Could you tell me what type of font did you use for "this" and "interesting"?.
Jesus Arcia Hey. I did use exactly "Mistral" font, but this is a paid font I purchased a while ago. If you are asking about type that is generally called a "handwritten" font. Wait so how do I save this as a video file that I can put in adobe premiere pro cc2017
File > Export > Create a video, or File > Save As > select your file format to mp4
Adobe After effects: Am i joke to you
FYI, Nice Tutorial btw thks for sharing xD
Haha sometimes it is. Well we are very limited in PowerPoint but some cool animations luckily can be made!
This is awesome, however, when I save it as a movie (.mov file) and play it as a movie file, it does not play the animation in the movie. May you help me please?

I am on a Mac, however, I use a PC at work. I will give all this information a try though. Appreciate the help! Thanks!

I dont understand why we have to creat 3 rectangles and put them behind the texts. I see It makes no different on the effect
+Hanh Vo Actually it does make a big change! can create Kinetic Typography lyric video using PowerPoint????
+Boucha Nagendran Yes but it's difficult because you would have to split the song and play like 20seconds on each slide to not make too much on 1 slide. You can watch my tutorial on how to add music to a presentation in another video on my channel , and combine those two tutorials :P
Incredible dude, do you take requests? I will pay. I only need a 16 second one..
Hey mate, no I am totally swamped with projects and recordings, can't take such work.
A good free font for the handwriting is Quikhand.
Awesome idea, we have never enough good fonts which other people already tested out!
how do i save this as a video?
File > Export > Create a video :)
coupon is not valid :(
+Pakovia It's not valid since today! Udemy changed pricing rules and I can't discount it to 5, needs to be 10. I will change this asap!
+PowerPoint & After Effects /w Andrzej Pach
thank you
+PowerPoint & After Effects /w Andrzej Pach
thank you, working :)
Super Video.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. is it possible to have a code coupon at 5$, udemy ask me 10$ ? Thanks and have a great day!
Udemy doesn't allow $5 anymore. I hope a $10 price tag is still fair and you will consider my course. If not I comlpetely understand, thanks!
