This raaga is one of my favourite Karunaa rasa raagas…Very beautifully sung! The melancholic notes in the raaga pain you but the melody altogether provides a soothing sensation and relief, healing you. Thanks for posting🙏
Most sublime SubhapantuvarALi; both heart-wrenching and heart-warming. The most pristine AlApanA in the rAga I have ever come across. The blissful blend of Ranjani ma'am's admirably husky voice and Gayatri ma'am's superbly sonorous voice is a confluence of two musical streams - absolutely stunning. The violinist's omission of the shadjam in his AlApanA is very commendable - it gives a perfect blend of emotions in the listener's mind. An excellent mridangam that gave me so many moments to reel in awe. Stupendous, in a nutshell.
I absolutely love the way raga sisters have rendered this krithi. They have just sung a beautiful raga alapana and then sung the krithi form this viLamba kaala krithi. They have given more importance to the sahithyam in this krithi which is absolutely beautiful and to the raga bhava of ragam shubhapanthuvaraLi which is absolutely beautiful as well. 🙏🙏🙏
Wow what a mesmerizing voices and instrumental. Great singing Applauses to the whole team. One of my most favorite composition of Shri Muthuswamy Dikshitar. So divine. Thank you do much RAGA sisters
I can't handle this.. I was profusely crying .. This is simply melting .. the power is immense.. To be experienced only .. Simply great .. I knew raaga Shubha Panthuvarali gives DHUKKA .. But I never knew so much melting ?.. This is extremely scientific which our music gurus presented to us..
Excellent recording...of course, no words to commend the sisters' rendition... superb which makes one feel Dikshitar's composition indeed before us... excellent
Excellent alapana of the soulful Subha Pantuvarali ragam, and beautiful rendition of this famous Dikshithar song by the incomparable Ranjani and Gayatri! Violinist’s playing of the ragam very nice and melodious also! Thanks for sharing!
Kiranur N. Subramanian I agree with the comment in general but can not describe them as incomparable. I have heard this keertan sung by others in no less a melodious manner.
Kasturi Sundaram, Thanks for your comments on my saying Ranjani and Gayathri’s singing of this keerthana “incomparable”. You are right in saying others have sung this keerthana very melodiously also. But I find some uniqueness in the rendition by Ranjani and Gayathri: the harmony between them; how, after one leaves off, the other picks it up seamlessly; the variations between their singing styles in the way they develop raga alapanas and swara sequences; and a slight difference in how their respective voices sound; all of these plus melodiousness and pure technical genius quality. Those are my reasons for my calling their rendition “incomparable”. There is something I find in their singing which I don’t find in that of others.
@@kiranurn.subramanian3441 You do not have to justify your impression or your opinion of an artist, sir :) By 'incomparable', it is obvious that you just stressed on the finesse of their art.
