- Come along as I try my hand again at street photography. This time I got to travel to Melbourne, Australia for some photo and video work and while I was there I did some more of my own brand of street photography. I was brave and tried shooting on film this time and while I know I still have a way to go I am happy with some of the shots I got.
This episode filmed on the Sony ZV1 Mk2 - amzn.to/49CD7d7

Awesome stuff! I would enjoy exploring Melbourne, with lots of interesting architecture and people. I love your take on street photography, not just people but things you see on the street. One of the best parts about photography is the ability for the photographer to make it their own! Interesting to see that you feel the EOS 7 is too heavy; I find it lighter than my other cameras, like the F5 and Maxxum 9, especially if you put that beautiful 40/2.8 on the camera.
So cool to see the man behind the camera finally! Loved the adventure through Melbourne and killer soundtrack as always! Great stuff team Lumen! 💙
Great video as always Lucy! It’s awesome to see how much work you pack into one short trip. Also, Lux was such a good sport!
It was such a packed trip haha 😂 I was quite tired when we returned home and I really missed Luca! Haha lux hates being on camera but he let me put this in the video.
I've done street photography with my Fuji X-E1 and 27mm f2.8. It's a slow auto focus lens. So what I do is I zone focus. I'm 6 feet tall and I bring three camera up to my chest and focus on the side walk straight down. Then put the camera in manual focus and use auto ISO.
If you need to clean up a image DXO PureRaw or DXO PhotoLab is the best noise reduction.
Love Melbourne, fantastic city. Got family there and visited it a few times. Love the pics too.
Yea! Another video❤
Hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for being here! 📸🎞️🙏🏻
Loved this video, great to see XE1 being used.
Tried a 50 1.4 zuiko on my XE1, once I figured out correct way to get exposure and method,it produced great colour .
Look forward to your next video.
I really enjoyed that video presentation! I cannot wait for you to do more like this. Keep up the wonderful work.😊
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the feedback xx
this looks like it was so much fun! and now i'm craving dumplings🤤
It was super fun and so busy! Oh my god could eat dumplings everyday!
anxiously awaiting your first vlog shot on film. 😂
Haha might have to start a go fund me for that one
Really good this one. This way I learn so much about street photography. Soon I probably feel confident enough to give it a try myself, but it's a steep learnig curve coming from nature and landscape.
Wow yes huge difference from landscape photography but much more variety I think! Hope you get out there soon and give it a go. I don’t shoot people too much as I’m still a bit nervous 😬
I miss Melbourne so much!
Fabulous!!! Loved it!
Thank you for watching! Xx
I had a Rebel G at one point but gave it to a student who was interested in getting into film photography at a time when I had more or less given up on film photography. I sometimes wish I had kept it, but I have several new film cameras now. Great video again.
That’s so good you passed it on to someone as it’s such a great camera for a beginner and one that I will always use as it’s just so easy and suits my shooting style perfectly! Thank you for watching!
Love these type of videos
😘😘😘
Great video Lucy! Love your content and style, can't miss one of your posts, thank you!
Ohhh thank you so much! Great to hear and really appreciate you sharing that xx
@@LucyLumen Your channel inspired me to invest in some older Fujifilm cams and get some film cams too and I've been having a blast, My first camera was a canon AE1 Program, got it for my 16th birthday (I'm 57) :) so your style definitely inspired me to slow down and enjoy the craft ( I used to shoot for work)-- Now I do it for the love of it. (I'm from So. Cal)-- Cheers, Michael
Lux is killing it with the music.
I know right! So cool! Thanks for watching
Great video Lucy! Good job getting your significant other into the video...albeit reluctantly! Enjoyed seeing the photography!
Haha yes he was very unkeen for that! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching x
Love the video Lucy! You and Lux are legendary! I think you both could do Walkie-Talkie style photowalk videos in the future! 🤩
Yes we would love to do walkie talkie style of videos one day! It’s quite hard where we live as it’s more beachy and spread out.
Great documentation of your journey. Awesome stuff
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching xx
Your channel is truly so inspiring! Super well made videos.
Take care!
Greetings from Sweden
Btw...you have the most lovely accent
Oh wow 😯 thank you so much! I’m so pleased to hear you find the channel inspiring and that you like my accent haha I hate it but we often don’t like our own voices. Thanks again
Another excellent video combining photography, style, gear and food … well done! PS: Visiting Melbourne with my little Fuji X100V is on my bucket list … one day I hope. 📷🇦🇺☕️🇨🇦😄
Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it and liked the combo of things I shared. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and you get to Melbourne one day!
Nice video and and very cool to see your take on the streets that I walk through every day. I am using an X-E1 as well - what lens was Lux using?
Hi thanks for the nice comment. He was using the TTartisans 35mm 1.4 and another lens that hasn’t been released yet so I can’t really say what it is sorry but rest assured once it’s out I will do a video on it Because it’s really good 🔥🔥🔥
Your videos always have the best music.
Thank you lovely! I’m lucky to have Lux making all the music for me. Hope you had a nice Easter 🐣

Nice new video.
Looks like you had a great and productive trip.
I have only ever been in a Leica store/boutique once - they only let me in, because I was there to buy a camera. Sounds like your Leica store experience was a lot better 😀
Haha oh wow really? Perhaps it’s different in different countries. They were actually so nice and the man working there was at my exhibition that evening too so great to see he supports small shows like that despite working for a big company like Leica! Thanks for watching lovely
Great video! Congratulations on the exhibition!
Thank you so much lovely! Hope your street work is going well and appreciate you watching. Xx
Your street images are smashing!
Ohhhhhh thank you so much! X
Can you make a l35af update video ?
