- Finally have a copy of the newest Scorpion, the CZ Scorpion 3 Plus. It is chambered in 9mm and comes with two 20 round magazines. I added a red dot sight at the same time, as the sights are black out, which are useless sights for me.

I put a drop in single stage 3 1/2 pound trigger in mine and it made it a faster reset. I put the extended charging handle which gave a better grip when loading. I put a 1913 stock rail and a folding brace on it. What I like about the Evo 3+ is the ambidextrous setup. Being a lefty, its a good setup for me. I've put around 500 rounds through mine with no malfunctions. I also converted a magpul drum for the Evo3 to fit the 3+. I used the location of the extra locking recess on a factory 3+ mag and scribed it into the drum at the same place. I then used a small width wood chisel to remove enough plastic to get the latch to lock in tight. I had to check as I went along, but with patience, it worked out fine. The drum functions flawlessly.
I like to carry my Evo 3+ in a small backpack when going into the city. It makes a great setup.

Since you already have old scorpion mags, you can dremel in the square notch to work on the newer 3plus. There are videos and templates available online. It would save you money on buying all news mags. Cheers
Picked this gun up last month, and I can see the changes as compared to previous model which I also have. One thing I did do was upgraded the charging handle to a larger piece which is easier to use. Good video!
Hey man, I’ve never owned a scorpion and looking to buy one. I am torn between the 3 plus or the old Evo. Which should I go with?
Cool video...a bit baffled as to why they'd reprofil the whole grip instead of change the safety, which seems to be the chief complaint with these otherwise seemingly excellent PCC's

Thanks for the video! I either missed, or no one pointed out in other videos on the Plus that the mag release that is so nice on the 3 got changed up. I like the paddle drop of the 3 - but I get the change falls in line with the Bren 2 MS so that kind of makes sense to make them uniform. Not sure if it's good or bad, but it does make training a bit easier I suppose...
One thing I did and do suggest - swapped the safety out to an "AK" safety that points forward and drops down...

Good review and it is a interesting gun.
As an owner of the original Evo 3, I definitely do not like how they swapped the mag release to release the bolt. It makes no sense at all. I'll admit that the original mag release is a little funky but to completely change its function is odd to say the least.
I remember these being originally designed as mp5 replacements and having the same manual of arms. But I can see all the AR owners throwing a fit. I mean that's really one of only two demographics that purchased these. European SWAT units and the American gun buying public. I love the AR but every gun doesn't have to be a variant of one. My daughter has this version amd loves it. Mainly uses an AR for long gun stuff.
It's about a second faster to reload now. That's why it was changed.
I was kind of spoiled when i got one. Was used to an AR with a BAD lever and a HK sp5. Pretty much e every movement those two guns gave me works great on the CZ
I've never shot one, but I'd think it'd be way easier to shoot with a brace on it.
Also bad move by CZ making it not backwards compatible with the previous versions magazines.
I have a supply of the original Scorpion, I’d like to get another new one but with the mag change it’s a no go. Stupid idea to change that!
I GREATLY prefer the new controls layout. FAR more logical, much like those on the ACR.
Straighter grip angle is better, however it would be best to simply make them compatible with M4/AR grips, for end user preferences of grip.
Modifying old style mags is easily done, and there are instructions/plans on line.
I wish it had the paddle release
Had one of these in my hand at the gun shop. I noticed the faux Suppressor barely sticks outside the handguard. I have a SilencerCo Hybrid 46m and the gun shop didn't know if I'd be able to mount my suppressor or not so I didn't buy the gun. The Hybrid is 1.57" in diameter.
I can't find any videos that talk about how to mount a suppressor to the Scorpion 3 Plus micro. Any advice?

Is the trigger housing screw welded in the 3+? Trying to replace the shoe on my 3 micro was kind of a pain.
Why do you have the optic so far back on yours? Mine is right above the mag well.
Try unscrewing that fake suppressor. Thats all kinds of fun. By fun i mean no fun at alll whatsoevet. Gun suppresses real good though after that little adventure. I usef s gemtech tundra 9mm on it. Thats a sknny older syppressor. Those of you with more modern ot fatter SMG suppressor will really like thia gun.
Those controls are truly bass-ackward.
Ok, I always wanted one but knowing nothing about them I went to your video. I want a home protection weapon but with a stock/brace. Is the newest the best? I can’t afford to buy but one.
