And showing their strange and mystical rituals is so interesting. We understand now that vikings were not only violent people first for blood but could also be in some manner much civilised (althing council, womans could ask for divorce) and very creative minds in all the artistic forms like forging swords, clothes, jewelry... This might explain why Scandinavian society is the way it is today. Every living thing we must hurt in order to survive and taking out their life is a sad and horrible thing but we cannot survive on rocks.
