There was this guy named Jeffrey Chisholm rest in peace in Compton California and I would always sing the song on the microphone and one day he just took it out of my hand and he sang this song better than Philip Bailey but I've been loving this song since I was 12 years old this is the first group I ever seen in concert when I was 15 years old and freshly at Hyde Park Hyde Park career academy in Chicago oh my God Earth wind & fire and The Isley Brothers are the best two groups head to head but life or death Earth wind & fire

Pure and brilliant without auto-tune. This song came out in 1977. Philip Bailey nailed this from beginning till the fade out. My opinion he did not deserved enough credits for his sensational vocals. Talking about falsetto. Shhhhh...
I am Japanese. When I was in elementary school, this album was on my parents' CD list, so I secretly borrowed it and listened to it often on my music video. This is my favorite song because it has a very clear singing voice and lyrics that make me feel emotional. Since this song, I have always included Earth, Wind and Fire's songs in the audio of my Walkman, smartphone, and car navigation system.

Philip Bailey’s falsetto has never been matched. EWF’s talent is/was remarkable. Their live performances were so powerful. Truly the good old days.

Oh,yes jis false was perfectly matched in the person of Harvey Williams Sr. The group he played with resided in Chedter, PA. They often performed in Pholadelphia, PA, Sharon Hill, PA, Glenolden, PA, in towns in Delaeare, New Jersey, and for conventions of Homor Degrees of Military Orders. In this group, he sung 2dt tenor lead while playing rhythm bass. He was an astronomical proform

@@SebastianBluschke you're correct, Al McKay wrote the music to this song, love the guitar intro, McKay had a lot to do with EWF success in the 70s with his co-songwriting ability, my wife lived in Tokyo for 3 years and saw Al McKay's band performed, they basically played EWF songs including this one

I read somewhere that Phillip Bailey wrote this song when his daughter was born. It is absolutely Beautiful, and sang beautifully by Phillip Bailey. And, Al Mckay is awesome as always on the guitar. One of my favorite EWF songs.
