There is a very reliable exorcist priest who has done research on yoga. some of the positions are ancient means of worship of specific demons. There is no neutral, Safe way to do yoga. No Catholic should do yoga.
So glad he mentioned the evils of Harry Potter! There is good information in the Comments below on avoiding yoga as the positions themselves open one up to demons. Furthermore, it is mentioned that some martial arts are also not free of demonic infiltration.
A good sermon, but some very oddly mixed messages included. Yoga should NEVER EVER be practiced, by anyone, especially not a Catholic, because it is originally based on the ancient Hindu religion, which, in part, involves the practitioner, invoking and inviting, Hindu deities/spirits, to come and inhabit/possess your body, through specific PHYSICAL POSES (the parts which they tell you is just "physical exercise") in Yoga. Nowadays, is sold in the modern world as a type of "healthy exercise," but there has always been, and there will always be, an evil spiritual dimension to Yoga. The same thing applies to Reiki, Tai Chi and similar practices, even certain so-called "Martial Arts." Don't even start to engage in them. You open yourself up, to evil spirit/demonic influence or possession, in ways you may never even realize.
Stay the hell away from anything not Christian, these things exist to mislead us, and are always diabolical. Don't toy with eternity!! God bless the faithful.
In a 25 minute sermon, it is troubling that some focus only on a few statements about yoga.... then misunderstand.... and ignore the entire rest of the sermon. It is an error to believe that things are bad in and of themselves. Knives are not bad, in and of themselves, but the use of the knife is what is good or bad. Waving around pieces of wood is not bad, in and of itself, but pretending it is a wand with magical powers is what makes it bad. The same is true of yoga. Stretches are not bad in and of themselves, but the use of them in conjunction with false worship is. Father makes this clear in his talk, specifically around the 8:15 mark. (for more on this, see Summa Th. I-II EN Qu.20-21)
I studied astrology very deeply before becoming Catholic. A lot of people really don't know much about it and modern horoscopes are often just superstition or worse. I have stopped all my astrological studies, yet I am still perplexed at the ban on astrology. The most useful application of astrology is the study of temperament, not the reading of the future. This latter is understandably a misuse of the art that goes against God. But knowing the signs can really be helpful in understanding basic temperament patterns. I mean if we study things like psychology and medieval temperaments (sanguine, choleric etc), then why not astrology? It's more sophisticated and deeper than both those disciplines in understanding the psychosomatic organism. This is a serious question, I would truly like an answer. Most priests talking about astrology put it on par with tarot reading but it really isn't the same, the subject is more complex than that.
Steven Bancarz (Bancraz?) gives his testimony on being delivered from "new age" practices. According to him, Christians must not practice Yoga in any way. Not any of it in any fashion, shape or form.
What about things like Astrology signs/Chinese zodiac for helping you understand your personality. For example when I ask, I'm usually told that god himself "put the stars in the sky for seasons and for SIGNS"? The Wise Men who came to Jesus studied the stars to find when he would be born and apparently going by some Catholic scholars today, Jesus would've been a Pisces (Very loving, compassionate) Please do explain? NO ONE in our house does things like fortune telling but we find it helps us to understand our faults and how to deal with them. Also, the image of our Lady of Guadalupe had specific star constellations on her headcover (things like Virgo (virgin) overtaking Draco (the dragon) so the people she came to would read those star signs and would know she was greater than their serpent god Quetzalcoatl. Please help explain if any of this is wrong.
The Lord God will give you discernment and what you should do get rid of the TV it doesn't glorify God but blasphemes his name don't listen to music that doesn't glorify God say the rosary the Blessed Mother will help you to stay close to her son Jesus Christ and find a traditional Latin Mass in your hometown

Do pilates instead if you really want to get stretching exercises in.
Yoga is meant to call up entities into a person by engaging in the poses; It is very dangerous to think of it as exercise.
Thank you Father for this teaching. l will pray for you.
Say goodbye to a lot things in my life 🙈🙉🙊

I am sorry but yoga is not safe. Indian Yoga Gurus themselves state that the stretching positions are inseparable from the spiritual part of the yoga.
Also don't watch American Horror Story.
do not watch the TV show Long Island Medium

Every religion is against the 1st Commandment except Judaism. I'm not a Jew. Just a fact jews wrote the Holy Bible.
They only wrote the BEGINNING of the Bible
No, Judaism is now a false religion in the New Covenant. They openly deny The Holy Trinity, therefore it is a false religion.
