Have this same watch since since last year, and it's great I can say. You don't need to do anything, watch is setting time at 2am and it"s just excellent. I would like a rubber strap for this watch if possible but could not find any. This watch is a BEAST!😂

I have the Titanium version. It's very light and never fails to update time at night. I love this watch.

I have a titanium + sapphire one. Its incredibly light, I definitely recommend getting the titanium + sapphire one. It costs 650€.

It does look like a very nice watch. I have a couple of Seiko watches. One is a Seiko Velatura Chronograph that I have had for 10 years now and it too is a heavy watch at 47mm diameter. The other Seiko is Seiko Kinetic and it 20 years old next June.
I am looking at getting either a Citizen Promaster Sky CB5001-57E, the Promaster Sky CB5000-50L or a Citizen Eco-Drive Diamond BL8172-59H.

Like any Citizen radio-corrected watch, aim 9 o"clock towards Ft. Collins Colorado if in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico for best reception.
Aim 7 o'clock toward Ft.Collins. Per Instruction manual p.50. Not 9
You don't need to aim this watch in any position. It synchronises regardless how it is placed. Mine does every night around 1:30 sync.

Nice looking watch. I love Citizen. I have a Citizen GMT, Atomic, Perpetual Calendar, 24 hour time zones, etc. My watch has very similar layout as the one you reviewed. I can’t say enough good things about the watch. It’s amazingly accurate, has tons of neat features, as you mention in your review. Mine is about 3 years old and I paid just over $300 U.S. Thanks for your review of that beautiful time piece.
Nice watch, its almost identical the same as Swiss Military Airforce 1737 by Charmex with ETA G10.710 4 jewels mechanism. I found first CB500-57E its a black-red version of the 50E but now you have helped me with search. It is a great watch. The one I have on my hand from Swiss Military with ETA mechanism is a Ferrari among quartz watches, so told me the guy(watchmaker) who took deep look after changing the battery. I have it like 12 years on my hand, it took a lot of beating but it is still working.Never changed rubber sealings and still keeps watter out. It is one of the less watches where the bezzel is actually integrated and it turns inside also and it is tested at 200m which is awesome.
This watch shows quite some resemblance with my Heuer 230.006 (pilot watch).
Not exactly off course, but the bracelet looks quite the same. The large ring, the layout of the dial...
I think Citizen may have looked at that watch for inspiration.
I also see some parallels with Breitling (e.g. pilot) and Seiko Flightmaster watches.
It is a pretty big watch by the way. In an impulse, I ordered one today but lets see how long I will keep it.

I have this watch and love it, but obe thing that bugs me is that you cannot set another time zone on the 24-hour dial.
Instead you just get the most useless complication(besides 12-hour rotating bezels on diver watches) in the world
the bracelet doesnt really look flashy... i wish it was nicer......but nonetheless the watch is nice

I would like to purchase a watch like this but worried, as it says 200m water resist, however the crown and pushers are not screw down, Is there any way anybody can tell me how this practically works?
You will never dive 200m I think your ok with swimming. Only pro divers go beyond 200m

Yes its possible , Take a Look at the Citizen 5005 , you can order that Rubber band and use it with the 5000 Modell.

i have a citizen blue angel....42mm is way too small.........citizen needs 2 make @ least 48mm bc there is no watch in the world that has so much things going on as citizen...........i love it .....but it needs to b bigger ..........too small with such a busy bexel u barely can c it.........but i like this watch it stands out and its bigger.............good review..........i contemplating gettin this watch.......its a nice watch.........

All Promaster series are great watches. If you buy solar powered just don't keep it in a dark place that's all. I had same as presented here bashing it daily. It still works fine.
