CD Smith LOL. Nice try, but they don’t have the capacity for empathy...especially not for black people and brown people like me. I easily could’ve been gunned down in the El Paso shooting ‘cats run always mistaken for Mexican or Brazilian, but they only care about protecting their guns...not people of colour. It’s sad.

Obama vs Trump, class vs crass.
Compare the way the Republican's treated Obama vs. the way they have surrendered to that monster, Trump. Think about the Secret Service and how many breaches they had when "protecting" Obama compared to the seamless protection for a mad man that doesn't follow protocol. Compare the disrespect the military showed Obama despite his constant praise of their sacrifices, increasing their budget and always recognizing them in his speeches, etc. to Trump and his constant bashing of the leaders of the military, he actually went to a war zone and lied to their faces about a pay raise, he's tried to take money from them for his wall and he seems to have their full support. It's shameful how Obama was treated and the media should stop allowing Trump to drag his name through the mud every time his back is against the wall...it only gets airtime because they give it airtime. They need to stop reporting on anything and everything he says that isn't true.

Respecting the office of the Presidency. That's what makes me so angry. I can disagree with the policies but I always respected the office. Not anymore. tRump has made a mockery of the office. How long will it take to undo this madman's tenure?
How many more Supreme Court Justices will he be able to appoint? He's doing a pretty good job with Mitch McConnell stacking the lower courts, too. The media only reported on the Supreme Court seat that McConnell withheld from Obama, but there were est. 140 open seats in the lower courts that McConnell would not allow Obama's nominations to be considered. Some were open for more than 2 years. At one point there was a state of emergency in several states because they were having to let people go because they didn't have the judges to meet the time requirements of inmates to go before a judge. They have been able to fill most of those vacancies with conservative judges basically unnoticed. That's part of the reason there is such a push to move abortion laws to the higher courts...they know they have a good chance of winning with all those conservative judges waiting for them. That is why Trump wants to go through the courts for everything instead of going to Congress. Not to mention he has doubled the deficit and is ignoring climate change...we could be feeling the repercussions of his presidency for decades.
Obama was a wonderful president but above all a beautiful human being🥰

Our allies see the news and how the majority of Americans do not approve of anything #25'4'45 says or does. They are probably wondering why haven't we gotten rid of him yet. So no we'll elect our Democratic President and get to work cleaning his mess up righting the wrongs he has done. Put in place laws that this...NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN. But our allies are on the American peoples side, not his.
Amazing interview with an amazing guy who was with arguably the best President in all of modern history in his most decisive moments, making profound choices and this guy captures images of the weight of the moments written all over Obama's face and body language.
It makes me kinda sad that we have the President we have now, who doesn't work nearly as much, which is a good thing in alot of ways lol but he has no concept of the opportunity he has and doesn't fit in with the integrity of the office, and I just can't wait until it's finally over!
Obama wasn't Perfect, of course, but at least he took the job seriously.
And, we were able to be proud to be American, with Obama as our Representative on the world stage.
Proud of what we had achieved by electing him, proud of who he was, as a person and as a president, and that convinces me every day, no matter how bad it gets, that we can do better than we are right now.

You nailed the most important thing about past Presidents, as well as other Republicans who might've occupied the White House: *Respect for the Office.* The term I regularly use to describe the current occupant's corrosive effects is that he "debases" the Office of the President of the United States.
Hopefully the day is fast approaching when we can view this administration as an aberrant episode in our country's history, as we look forward, our next President leading the Nation in healing its soul.

There is a picture of President Obama standing at the bedside of a wounded solider that makes me cry every time I see it, but I wish they would have shown it here. The solider is completely covered and the room is dark except a soft light -- possibly for the camera, and the solider has his arm reaching out to shake President Obama's hand. The caption said that Obama had leaned down and said something to the solider and let him know he was there. It always really bothered me how cruel the military was to Obama when he truly supported them, he loves this country and its people and they never treated him kindly. Anyway, the picture is one of the most touching pictures I've seen in my lifetime.
