”I’m not the best photographer”
*Shows amazing pieces of art that take a ton of talent and skill to capture*
It’s more so being in the right place at the right time. There’s hundreds of photographers who would have similar work if they also had access
Photography is all about capturing the defining moment. Anyone can take pictures not anyone has the eye to spot it/be there at the right time.
in my experience, people with skills dont think they are good. smart people dont think they are smart. only dumb people think they are smart. con man Dump still has not released his college transcript.
And then picks nose
I'm sure he's paid fairly and then some, but the dedication to follow the President and document stuff, admirable.
lmao I would do it too. Who wouldn't. Easy job, getting paid to travel, meet the world's leaders, and just to take photos. Your not politically responsible or anything lol
Just for people who think it's an easy task to take such photos ... Professionally you need to have the skill to predict the next at least 3 second range of framings to take this level of perfect snapshots of time ... Not to mention lighting, pressure, the good choice of angle, lens and camera settings absolutely nerv wrecking job
Also for every one photo we do see, there's dozens that weren't good enough to release.
ahmed gamal Souza setups each shot. The White House photographer use to document the President. With Obama it turned away from documentary to publicity.
@@bngr_bngr It's always been about publicity. That doesn't mean it can't be impromptu.
@@bngr_bngr ,it been both both document but i think there is another job for that but i dont know but i still think it still document and publicity
yet i can do it on my phone
What impresses me is how well put together the photos are without any planning! Just business as usual and boom
Here's why @Randy Pobst loves Dash Cams - ruclips.net/video/UeaOY-EenJ0/видео.html
Imagine the security clearance this guy has! Safe to say, The Most Powerful Photographer In The World..yes former, but they all.
@@Kigoz4Life Well, I don't know what definition you are implying for power but common sense dictates that any person who is assigned to be always in close proximity to the most powerful person in the world, would not be some random street side hooligan, tagged along only when photos are needed, NO. Someone who is always beside the president, having direct access to him, a federal employee, waiting and watching for that brilliant moments of history, will not just be guarded but also be scrutinized constantly by the secret service. So I think he IS powerful than some random photographer. May I suggest putting your time and effort for unnecessary questioning be perhaps put somewhere actually useful and beneficial?
He’s got a crazy high security clearance. He was in the Situation Room when bin Laden was killed.
@Greedo there’s security clearances higher than Top Secret. You have TS//SCI, TS//SCI with polygraph, TS//RD (Restricted Data), and TS//SAP (Special Access Program). They aren’t higher in a sense, but rather sensitive information within Top Secret classification.
It's hard to explain these pictures. They're really beautiful sometimes and interesting IMO.

The real question is who takes the photo of the photographer?
Wtf, I literally gave a presentation about Pete Souza to my photo class less than 2 hours before this video was uploaded.
(p.s. Pete Souza can you do a talk to my photo class plz?)
Shoulda waited like another day. Needed the loud kid to stall until the end of class
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving.
@Alex NW Lmao😂💀💀
What?
It’s amazing seeing a president who has leadership and respect for others
Mr. Souza thank you for all your dedication and photos!
I love the photos of Barrack Obama when he's not serious!! It just makes me smile... 😊
Obama knowingly ordered the execution of a American citizen. He's a monster
I can feel that I'm at that moment by looking at pictures
He's one of the best, with empathy, and professionalism at the same time.
I can't even hold a camera straight and still
First like for when this blows up

Imagine being a photographer just to sound like an ak-47 in the background in historical moments.
I started learning photography in 2007 or so, when my dad gave me a point and shoot camera he got as a gift through work. I started learning the intricacies of the aperture, iso, and shutter speed triangle and how to frame and compose things. I was watching videos on rules and regulations, positives and negatives, and I noticed that my photography was a lot better in some ways when I didn't know those rules, and a lot more robotic and often worse when I adhered to rules. I was often looking for inspiration, and it was the right time for Pete Souza's photography to come in. I noticed that he flouted rules just a little bit in order to tell the story. He would intentionally frame the shots in ways that you wouldn't expect but it was eye-catching and dramatic. He really inspired me to the point where I was starting to get a lot more gig offers and was often the assistant or lead photographer for certain concerts and events and people. Truly an inspiration.
Good work, there were some epic photos.
"I don't think that would happen today." I caught that shade lmao... 3:57

I FREKING LOVE THIS VIDEO ITS BRILLIANT HIS VIEW IS INSANE

@@JohnDoeTheTroll self-criticism? Admirable.
Not an expert
But I'm thinking it takes having a camera to do it but Idk
I've should've hired an officially Presidential photographer when I had the chance.
Yes, you are not and expert. I'm a photographer and it's more difficult than that, thats why i admire Pete and every photojournalist that works to get the perfect shot
@@Kevingenender2 chill. He's clearly joking. As in the first step is to have a camera.

Nicely explained. Hi from Turkey.
Did you reposit this? I swaer I saw this a couple of days ago.

Great job Pete!
When Americans still had dignity.
2:23 I like how president Obama sit next to the Admiral like he was the admiral's son 😂
Thanks BI👍✊
I bet you donald trumps' photographer can now put "clown photographer" on his resume'.
They're a she, btw. There are female photographers.
@@TheJrbdog “it’s a she”
And Biden's and Regan's later years can be "Medical photographer", both Bush Jr.'s and Obama can be "War crime photographer", Nixon's can be "espionage photographer", Kennedy's can be "autopsy photographer", etc. .
"Clown photographer" seems tame now doesn't it, but if you take into account any politicians that have pictures of themselves on their socials, the market is kinda flooded with clown photographers.
Crazy how like 4 people are first on the same video
Gotta love Pete
What camera does the chief photographer use?
This is cool
reupload?
Meanwhile, I still can't click a non shaky picture.
That's how it should be. You photograph the history. Your personal views are your personal views. Keep them for yourself
.
It was probably a well paid job. But you can't want it for the money. You can tell this guy has a passion for photography and is probably grateful he got such an opportunity
Can you make a video of how presidents campaign transport for before the election has changed over the last 100 years
great advt for canon
Now, do a video on what it takes to be a photographer for the photographer
