26 mins to long ? NO WAY ! Much better longer than shorter IMO, Great how you really explore and find these hidden gems . Keep up the great work mate !
Hi from Scotland 🏴 We wait with baited breath for your next vid and save it to watch over breakfast in the morning. Great way to start the day! Beautiful Koh Tao can’t wait to return sometime soon. You are hitting all our spots and giving us some wonderful memories 😍 We were just reminiscing about the coconut weather board and there you were...coconut gone...typhoon! Hilarious 😂 Love 💓 all your vids...and thank you...it means a lot to all of us not there just at the moment! 😎
I used to spend the winter at Ochai's bungalows back when Papa Ochai was still alive 20 something years ago. The second from the far end right on the beach. What a time it was!
love your videos, SidetripLife. watching it in the living room is a form of joy, especially now that most of us cannot travel and live in restrictions. afterall, we don't subscribe to satellite tv anymore. it is just Netflix or RUclips.
Saw your video last year, finally came to Koh Tao Sairee beach, beautiful location, nice walking/bikes street, ate at Sairee restaurant twice, great food.
Just fantastic as always, love the length, could do longer as far as l'm concerned. Your videos make me want to be there already. I will be staying this winter on pretty much the same budget, who cares what people might say. I will ' take this time like a rebirth so allt the tips and the walks and stops are just a f.. great way to gain time, when it' s time for me to come. You are funny, you like animals and you are doing a great job at editing. I thank you for those videos. Merci
A few years ago in Phuket we took a day long trip to Phi Phi. The guy warned us that the trip would be unusually rough, but not being a boat guy I sat up at the front for a better view. I thought my back would break! About half way there I gave up and moved to the back, which was fine. I had no idea it made a difference, but yeah.... Also, I'm with everyone here in saying long vids are great. I love to watch your vids with my morning coffee. Hope I'll be there in the next 5-6 weeks.
WOW just as you said it i was wondering if you were double renting . You need to return the neighbors in Bangkok will think you have died , door will be busted down . Great video as always
thanks a lot the wife and i where so glade to enjoy your vid and are looking forward to coming to thailand next april .As long as entry for canadians aloud and now have whole family on board if we can take care and thanks again
Sairee looks so tranquil and peaceful right now. And the sunsets are priceless... So incredibly beautiful... Need to visit Koh Tao again 🥰Greetings from Samui

…… again , just love checkin’ things out with you on Koh Phangan. Feel like I’m actually there for a little while 😭🇦🇺 If only. I wish …… I sure know where I’m staying 👌 “Hut Sun”🌸❤️
Hi, yes I watched it all 👍 tbh I always watch your vlogs through out no matter of the length.lol..keep good work up.. I'm very envious of you. 👍 Best wishes
Loved the reference to Charlies Huts. I loved that place. In the early 2000s my wife and I used to frequent the bar and eatery on the beach. Very sketchy electrics including an Al Fresco tv ! I believe it is now the Buri Rasa hotel. My friend had a bar roadside which is now derelict 😕😕
Hey, Thank you for refreshimg my memories about my trip to Koh Tao in Jan 2020, a few days beforw covid srung. I stayed at ocean Blue jus opposite Cliff resort. Sent 10 fantastic days enjoying the quietness of the island. Great to revive it, but sad to see the state the shops are still in. Hope we can go back asoon again. Keep safe and thanks for your images.
'view's not bad either' he says..... Meanwhile the weather forecast for The Netherlands for the next 14 days: grey skies and raining 😒 Watched till the end (ofcourse!!)
I thought you would be staying at that great second floor Koh Samui Villa forever not wanting to go anywhere else ever again ... But that's Thailand, thousands of quaint little places to stay ... I'd be flicking the Bangkok condo ... yes thousands more "bars" but there's nothing quite like beachside living with a dozen or so friendly bars scattered amongst the coconut palms nearby. That's living.
Hey! Great vid as always. I watched it all, and I have to say I love these more lengthy ones:) Btw, I'm working on being able to work from home (internet) and as soon as it's legit, me and my dog are moving to Thailand. Just letting you know that your videos were my inspiration for this!:) Can't wait for the next one, enjoy your stay at Mama Ochai's, looks amazing.
Hi, I went to Koh Toa in 2017, Went on Lomprayah ferry, it almost went down. Left in a monsoon🙄. Are they still operating? I booked Koh Phangan, but want to go back to Koh Toa. Thanks Great video. 👍
I grew up in the large forests in northern Sweden. But I like big waves. The best boat trip I had was when our employer arranged a trip with rib boats. They are really fast and used by some armys around the world. I stood at the front and the boat and we jumped and bumpded, but it was great fun!
I lived on Koh Tao for 9 months in 2011 …. Great little island, lots of great spots to eat and drink. I’m not big on living on the beach, i opted for a villa up in the hills, fantastic views of the island. I recall the best coffee IMO on the island was a cafe right on the corner when u disembark from the standard ferry, i wish i could remember the name, it was opposite a small local nick nack and souvenir shop called Tui Place, they use to hold the daily BKK Post for me so that i could read it while having my morning coffee, u could also see all the new tourist arrivals disembark from the ferry.
Cheers Bill. Really liked that place and could have stayed there but sticking to a budget (or trying to, like most would on a 6 month or so walkabout;)
BTW, I always watch your videos on my big screen TV. But I can't comment there, so must do so on my computer (where I do not watch it again). Not sure if that messes up your stats with RUclips or not. If so, I could just let it run on my computer too.
Koh Tao well worth the extra jaunt for sure. Can start from Chumpon and night ferry to Surat Thani if not wanting to do the 3 isle hop. Would then head to Khanom if it were me;) ruclips.net/video/DBGT4xhLJmQ/видео.html&t Yes, Bangkok content coming soon (after a couple more KT vids)
@@SideTripLife Have overnighted in both Chumphon and Khanom and would definitely like to get back to both areas and explore more. Looking forward to Bangkok vids, although will you stop on the way up to Bangkok at places like Prachuap Khiri Khan (would love to see how this has changed since my last visit) and Hua hin - also Amphawa is worth a visit : )
out of curiosity, will a cell phone from Canada (Telus if it makes a difference) work in Thailand with a Thai SIM card? I'm getting a new cell today and hoping it won't be an issue if life lets me get to Thailand in 2022
You just need a phone that internationally unlocked. When you land in Thailand you can have a new sim put in when you get to the airport. They have a bunch of different cell company's with plans that fit every need
Telus likely locked your phone, so you can't use it with another SIM without unlocking. One way to test would be to get a friend on another carrier to swap SIMs with you and see if your phone works with their card. If not, there are many places that can unlock it for you. Cheers.
Thanks for this great video. My husband and I are planning to visit via the Koh Samui sandbox plan for a couple weeks starting in late November. Have you spoken to any foreigners in the same boat? We are trying to decide whether to come and work around all of the restrictions or delay the trip. I'd love to get your opinion.
Thx guys. Personally would wait n see til Nov 1st as things should be a bit clearer then with expected announcements of further regions easing restrictions. Having said that, haven't heard of any 'big' change for Samui Sandbox, 1 day test, then 6 days on Samui/KP/Tao, then free to roam elsewhere. Reminds me of windy huts on Samui when I was young and handsome. Around 3. us/nite for the fan bungalows. Don't think ac was even an option.
Charlie’s huts chaweng beach 1999 fawlty towers bar then onto Reggae bar seems a thousand years ago 🌴🌞
