French Armoires are fantastique. We have several, some in the house for storage and some in my workshop. They can be ridiculously cheap for shed storage.
I just found your vlog and am enjoying the shopping and beautiful drives. Your stone house is going to be so perfect for two people! The round dropleaf tables you were looking at would work well in your dining space. I don't think you would regret it! My dining room is small and my round pedestal table is perfect for me.
Agreed! We initially set out to find just that. A nice drop leaf table. Then we found a few stone top bistro tables that we really liked. We might go back to a drop leaf table...? We haven't found the right one...yet. Happy you're enjoying the vlog. Thanks for watching.
Never used the Premier function in RUclips. Not sure how people like it. We try to publish on Saturday at about the same time. I guess it sort of puts people on notice??
What a wonderful thrift store; could spend hours in there. NOTE - I carry a small tape measure in my purse, for just in case moments. Thrift stores, yard sales, treasures along side the road. I also carry 3" x 5" cards that have measurements for my rooms, windows, etc. so I know if a piece/something will fit. Also have color swatches on a card so I can match things. Many thrift stores have tape measures you can borrow.
We usually carry a tape measure as well. And we have all sort of measurements in a book we have and then take pictures of the pages on our phones. We don't have color swatches though....good idea! This particular shop is always fun to visit. They do a really good job of keep new things in their inventory.
In the UK where I am we drive on the opposite side of the road, but I assume the rule is the same as in France, that the outside lane is normally there for overtaking slower vehicles and you're not supposed to sit in it.
@@FrenchStoneHouseLife It's not really a question of courtesy - there are specific rules in the UK highway code about lane discipline, France is probably the same.
Oh yes, I’ve seen it before. This wasn’t our first trip down the aisle. We’ve been down that aisle and seen those copper items multiple times. The copper pot I picked up had a broken handle if you look closely. So many nice items. We were looking for a specific item that day.
I find it peculiar that you think staying out of the left lane is peculiar! The left lane is only for overtaking. If you stay in that lane, you're a lane hogger and will irritate the 💩 out of other drivers 😄 Have you thought about auctions for your armoire and other pieces? Phillip at Lalande is an expert, and Anna and Ed at Bordeaux Life 😊
More than anything I was trying to point out the difference between the US and France. It really is nice that the French view the left lane as passing only. It’s a stark contrast to the US. Yes, Phillip and I have had a conversation about different secondhand shops. We will find one eventually ha ha
France is like most European countries and the left lane is for overtaking slower vehicles only, lane discipline in France and Germany is generally excellent which makes driving a much more pleasant experience, except the cities, city driving is horrendous wherever you are!
Agreed, it is very nice to not have a bunch of drivers crowding in the left lane. Or just hanging out there. It really is a stark contrast to the US. Not sure why???
@@FrenchStoneHouseLife Because it's mandatory by law to use the right lane if you don't overpass a vehicule :) You can have a ticket if you don't respect that.
Orderly driving allows them to have 2 lane highways with minimal congestion, while I live near an interstate with no less than TEN lanes in each direction that becomes a parking lot due to "freedom loving" 'muricans driving wherever they want without regard to anyone else. And we can't honk or flash lights at someone else for fear of getting shot.
you have to drive on the right lane , exept you are overtaking another vehicle. Never and l mean never overtake on the right side if there is an American who does not know it better drives on the left lane. That dancing as you call it keeps you awake . drive save tickets are very expencive
I agree. I was just pointing out the difference. It’s the law in the US as well but nobody follows it. I believe the drivers in France are much better drivers and more courteous.

Yes, ridiculously inexpensive.

Trying out this premier feature on RUclips. 😊

Agreed, I just wish US drivers would be as courteous as French drivers.

Yeah, it's a law in the US as well. Hardly anyone follows it there...

You totally ignored the Le Creuset Dutch oven next to that copper pot. 😮

Agreeed... When we get back to the US we are always appalled by American drivers. HaHAHA!
When your pass in France is supposed to go back to the right lane that’s the law
Yes, it’s the law in the US as well. But it doesn’t stop drivers from hanging out in the left lane. It really is a stark contrast to the US.
You're not supposed to be in the left lane, unless you are passing. How do you not know this?
I do know this, what I was trying to point out is in the US many drivers do not ha ha ha

🐞🎈🍀👍🥐🇺🇸 perhaps we shoult thinking about to work in this😂 shop😂😂
You should! however please check the last time we drove by it was closed and the sign said change of ownership occurring.
@@FrenchStoneHouseLife I would have to file for bankruptcy immediately because every part that was sold I might need it myself at some point😁😁🇨🇵🐞
