You guys have made me pay attention more to what little movies I do take the time to watch. I really liked this movie, even more because it pisses off the small boys seething over it. The message was great and I hope more people, men especially chill tf out and watch this. It's a movie for everyone about acceptance and accepting yourself (unless you're already a shit person then, lol sorry). If anyone can't see this past the pink and politics then they deserve to be miserable. Love you guys! Looking forward to the next one. 💛
Thanks for watching! The pleasure is ours Yeah this movie is making people lose their absolute minds but they’re choosing to see things that aren’t there at all. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
It's so funny that Ben made 2 videos anout Barbie that average out to 50 minutes. Like, I can imagine dude was taking notes in a dark theater while shaking his head every minute 😭
LIKE I SAID.... IMAGINE BETTER THINGS!!! "Derp, imagine being a cinema cashier then Ben wants to buy a ticket for Barbie" Man, if only I could imagine such fantastical fare...
My 9-year old daughter had zero awareness of 2001, was possible vaguely aware of Also Sprach Zaruthstra - She was DYING laughing during the 2001 opening sequence - her favorite part.
Two men (us) took our goddaughters to Barbie, purposely to see what the Conservatives’ outrage was all about. It was light hearted fun. They really are a bunch of dorks for hating on a simple fun movie.
As an actual mature man who's not triggered by a movie that strives for equality and overall self acceptance for a better world I really liked it and enjoyed
Too bad most men won't see it that way. I just got home from watching it and as it went on, I started feeling the realization that this movie is going to be misunderstood and taken out of context. It's sad. Good on you for being an actual gentleman.
I would how he and his minions would react upon seeing pieces of media like: Portrait of a Lady on Fire Sympathy for Lady Vengeance The Virgins Suicides Welcome to the Dollhouse Fat Girl Revolutionary Girl Utena Puella Magi Madoka Magica Belladonna of Sadness Jennifer's Body I May Destroy You Promissing Young Women Water Lilies. All of these movies, serie and animes have a female perspective, where made by or to women (of course men can also enjoy, me include it) and talk about feminism or just women's experiences in a very good way. I think that if anyone over the TDW watch Revolutionary Girl Utena, they gonna have a heart attack 😂, i mean they already think that anime is demonic anyways 😅.

And yes you guys are correct they rarely play with Barbie or dolls in general anymore) BUT the girls I babysit were still excited for it even if their Barbie phase was just a few years vs. mine was my whole childhood. Girls know all about the struggles, and it is empowering to show our next gen that they can be the woman they want to be etc. It's a great movie that makes you think and consider.... I guess ppl don't like that.
Yeah thinking is too much of a burden for people like Ben. Maybe the marketing was inviting to kids but I don’t think the film’s target audience are kids. Not to say that they shouldn’t be allowed to see it or be exposed to the narrative because they absolutely should, I was watching movies like Mystic River when I was that age. But I think Greta Gerwig made a film that at it’s core is supposed to emotionally impact adults in a very specific way.
