I was at old Magnolia Cemetery in Garden Grove Ca, looking at all the old graves. In about the middle, I came across a bronze marker that read John Ogawa Sgt. 442nd Infantry. KIA 1945. He was 19 years old. Nearby were the graves of his Mother and Father, who died in the 50s and 60s. That told the story of the hard sacrifice these people had to endure. They paid up so all of us could live our lives of comfort and ease.
One of the saddest thing about their story is that one of the most decorated soldiers of WWII was refused a job after the war and was told, "we're saving these jobs for the war veterans."
