I loved your reaction! You are clearly as entranced by the genius of the band as I was back in the seventies... and still am. Once you fall for Queen, you stay fallen! Freddie Mercury: Lead vocals, piano, and occasional guitar. Brian May: Lead guitar, backing vocals, occasional keyboard, occasional lead vocals. Built his own guitar from random bits and pieces around the house (The red Special) as a teenager, with the help of his dad. Now Sir Brian May PhD, the author and astrophysicist. Roger Taylor: Drums, backing vocals, occasional lead vocals. John Deacon: Bass, occasional keyboard... plus would teach himself to play any random instrument that Freddie might decide he needed. Both Roger and Brian have recorded solo albums, in which they are lead vocals.
Roger Taylor loved banging those drums. The greatest…love them all for who and what they were, how talented all were, and Freddie. Come on…we know we’ll never see another Freddie, ever. ❤
Also check out "Tenement Funster" if you can find it, maybe only lyric video. Roger on drums and LEAD vocals! (Same for "I'm in Love With My Car", I just like "Tenement Funster" better.) My favorite Brian lead vocals song is " '39 ", completely different end of the spectrum!.
Sir Dr. Brian May - guitars and background vocals, Roger Taylor - drums, percussion, background vocals, John Deacon - bass Freddie Mercury - lead vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar and general badassery.
It doesn’t matter how many times I watch this video I smile and get energized every time! They were incredible! Save me from this concert, and dragon attack are a must. And anything from the 86 Wembley concert. I think you are officially a Queenie now!
My obsession with Farrokh Bulsara Queen is absolutely intense my husband hates it but whatever literally commands entire stadium concerts i’m telling you music nowadays cannot pull what this type of music can do ❤❤❤ my heart #liveaid
These guys were to Pop Rock , what Mozart was to classical. They brought style , charisma, and absolute virtuoso musicianship to the Genre. The Rock scene of the 70;s did not know what what to make of them , No one could touch them with a 10 foot pole either because their competition simply did not have the musical ability to do so , or because many of the stars at the time were jealous . However Queen knew quite well that they were destined to be legends. They went on to gain the ultimate , utmost respect of everyone in the industry from Country to Rock , to Rap. Country legend Garth Brooks was a HUGE Qeen Fan , and admits to being influenced by their style.Legend M.C. Hammer was a Queen fan. Even contemporary artists such as Lady GaGa even took her very stage name from Queen song " Radio GaGa". Nuno Bettencourt of the band Extreme were close friends, and heavily influenced. Yeah I think we can say definitively Queen were FAR more than the average Rock Band. Your reaction was real , raw and sincere. I appreciate you introducing bands like this to a new generation , who may not know there was incredible music before Auto Tuned one night wonders, and Over Quantized musical hype.
It’s me again. So glad to you chose that performance. Who is the drummer? That’s Roger Taylor. He shreds his kit while singing, full out! I don’t think you noticed since you were so engrossed in the music. Roger singing background is the highest voice you’ll hear. Aside from Freddie, he’s the hardest working member of Queen. I’ve been crushing on him since 1975 and still crushing on him at 81 years old! He and Brian are still touring. In fact, they’re in the states right now touring with Adam Lambert as front man. They even played at Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee. John Deacon, bass guitar, retired shortly after Freddie passed away. He took Fred’s passing the hardest and refused to continue without him. He is still involved financially with Queen and lives a quiet life with his wife of over 40 years. Give a listen to, “Under Pressure.” Wembly Stadium. Great reaction! Thanks. I’ll be watching.
Heyyyy, I’m so glad all of you told me about this performance!! I would have paid anything to be in the building that night, can you imagine the memories the crowd has!!! Omg, you always have cool insight! Thank you so much, I have to do my research on Roger next, especially since you say he is the hardest working member! I can’t wait!!
@@PlutoPlease I only say that because, Brian and John get to stroll the stage, never breaking a sweat. Roger, on the other hand, is pounding his kit, keeping the beat, both arms whacking a Tom or a cymbal or a snare, he foot tattooing that bass pedal and he’s also singing. Sometime, you should check out a video of Roger called, Multi-Cam. Roger Taylor, the song is, “Now I’m Here.” You’ll really appreciate his stamina.
@@PlutoPlease Yeah, this is one of my favorite videos to show people how incredible Roger is - drumming like a madman while hitting those high vocals with just as much passion as Freddie. You really can't sleep on anyone in Queen - they weren't Freddie and his band, they all four played multiple instruments, sang, and each of them wrote multiple smash hits. It was just magic that they happened to do it together and we get to enjoy it.
Have subscribed to watch your Queen reactions. Love your visuals.Going back to 1975 White Queen Odeon Hammersmith. Roger Taylor on drums John Deacon on bass
Queen are definitely a live bunch, please check out Under Pressure and Another one bites the dust live at Wembley 1986, you won't regret it and yes Freddie and Roger's voices sound perfect together, imagine playing the drums while doing back vocals? I love this performance and I loved its video format, I loved the Freddie and Brian memes. It's always good to remember Freddie's presence in a fun way and through his music, thank you
Roger Taylor till this very day is a beast on the drums and Brian May is still a beast on the guitar (the red special.) I had the priviledge to see them play live this past October in Atlanta, and I was absolutely amazed..of course it was Queen + Adam Lambert, but they put on a helluva show..I'm also learning to play electric guitar on my own and I wish I could take lessons from Sir Brian May himself!! Great Reaction😊
Wow that is sooo cool you got the opportunity to experience Brian and Roger live, I can only imagine how amazing they still are! lol imagine brian being a guitar instructor and people can sign up for his classes, that would be insane 🔥🔥🔥
I’m so glad you did this - I knew you’d love it! Each of the four of them are at the top of their game on this song. Amazing! Roger Taylor has his head turned toward the Mike, can’t even see the drums, and doesn’t miss a beat! Incredible performance!
AS a live band, they were unsurpassed. They had songs that were amazing performance pieces. The great Roger Taylor on drums AND vocals,... AT THE SAME TIME!!!!
Please react to Queen, 'Live Aid 1995, Wembley Stadium' (full version). You will see 20 minutes of music History and you will love it. Greetings from Germany.
Save Me live in Montreal, White Queen live at Hammersmith, Under Pressure live at Wembley, Fat Bottomed Girls live anywhere, just to get you started. Best live band in history, in my opinion. Welcome to the world of Queen.
You get so excited you are going to snap your rubber bands. Btw hats off to you for fixing your teeth at your age. They look great. Anyway how can’t you fall in love with Freddie. I like the older concerts without the crazy lights and AI stuff. You can really hear the singing. Now the music is so loud you can’t hear the vocals as well.
The three things you mentioned are important, but the song wouldn't be nearly as good without that outstanding bass courtesy of John Deacon. The amazing drummer is Roger Taylor, and he manages to sing backup while he's playing the drums.
Roger Taylor is on drums. He is amazing! There is also a medley from this concert (Montreal) called Killer Queen/I’m In Love With My Car. Roger does a solo!
What's up with the RUclips likes? I have probably watched thirty videos today across all different types of material. Every video has 25-27 likes when view count is in the 1000s or higher. Some videos a few days old, some several months old. Obviously a glitch. Hope for the creators' sakes it gets fixed.
I saw them twice; the '81 tour was the second time. Not just the cream of the crop of live bands, it was one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed. Everyone left that show high on music.
I highly recommend, if you haven't already, watching the entire Montreal concert as a whole. In answer to your question, the drummer with the highest voice is Roger Taylor; otherwise known as the sexiest man alive!
This is one of the greatest live performances ever. Freddie loved Aretha Franklin's early gospel style singing and he wrote this song as a tribute to her. Freddie, who never took singing lessons, taught himself the phrazing by listening to her albums. This song was his favourite. Pls, check out Dragon Attack from the same concert, for a different vibe.
Hopefully helpful hints here: 1) The blinking lights. (for me at least) VERY distracting and hurt my eyes. I'm actually pausing the video to write this. The lights would be fine if they were not flashing. 2) Unless you're really feeling it all the motions/dancing aren't really needed. When reactors do this I usually find it fake and don't come back. Pay attention to the video and do your commentary. Movement is one thing. Taking away from the video is another. 3) Rule #1 for Queen songs. You never ever pause during a Brian solo! 4) 99.9% of the time Queen does not block so have at it! That said the plus side: I love new "Queenies" It's a very very deep rabbit hole to go down and I hope you enjoy every second. You have good takes on their music (so far) and be ready for many surprises to come.
Ok, I thought it was adorable that you acknowledged that you didn't paus Brian's solo, since I saw the comments on your other Queen reactions 😂 That was awesome!
