  • We took Mitch through our signature 'Rundown' session, analyzing all parts of the swing and ball flight. Then we got to work on some changes to get the downswing more shallow and wrists in a stronger position.

    Now this is the content we were missing from TXG/Club champion. We needed to see more average weekend style golfers and use data from a launch monitor to try and improve them instead of just “here’s a new club”

      The first swing I took with better wrist and elbow conditions got me neutral in lie angle from 4-5ish down and I was like holy smokes. I have NEVER seen that before and he did it in one swing.

      Trottie has some good 'fitting' videos like that where he gets a good golfer wanting new clubs but it turns into Trottie adjusting sometime small about the club and telling them "mate, we're wasting time if you don't want to learn to have a positive AoA with your driver."

    • @atxrich
      @atxrich 7 месяцев назад

      Well in TXG’s defense, they’re club fitters not swing coaches. For me that channel is about getting in the weeds on equipment and launch monitor data.
      On occasion you’ll get a mid- handicapper fitting with some coaching but that’s more about getting the most out of that person’s fitting session.
      Matt’s channel is different and offers up more of what you’re probably looking for.

      There’s a reason he didn’t show many ball flights haha I can feel and attempt the change but the contact isn’t there yet as the body is learning how to deliver the club well. This was a great start though, now it’s on me to practice it and put it all together

    Matt! Love this! This is epic and a gap in the RUclips golf space. Real people, relatable problems, and the right info. No magic swing tips with a sales pitch, just analysis, data, solution, and a simple exercise to get better!!! Keep it up and I’m jealous of all the tech, so helpful and entertaining.

      I would say the patterns are similar to most amateur players, but in theory it could be even easier to steepen in transition to get the club back to the ball from way up there

    So to get more laid off, it's really about getting the rear elbow to bend a bit better and feel like the wrist is bowing just a bit?

    • @GolfLiberty
      @GolfLiberty  8 месяцев назад +1

      those two things are good keys for a lot of players, and usually taking a bit of wrist hinge out as well

    • @mitchschwartz71
      @mitchschwartz71 8 месяцев назад +2

      I had been doing it with a club manipulation at the top of the swing, but that didn't really fix my wrist conditions nor elbow. This lesson allows me to lock in a good structure and then just use the body to get to the ball and requires a lot less manipulation and timing. Matt's putting me in a spot where my body will react the way it should.

    I think one of the hardest things about teaching athletes is to get them to not HIT the ball and learn how to swing the club. These guys use brute strength in their respective sports but teaching them to let the club do the work has gotta be difficult.
