    Thanks Bobby, really appreciate that. To be honest i don’t think many instructors actually really know what’s going on.
    I see a lot of the guys using my information in the videos. They don’t even mention that they got it from me. At least Eric Cogorno has he’s a good guy.
    Some of the well known english youtube instructors pretend that it’s their information! - Low Act shows a lot.
    Thanks so much for taking the time to share. 👍

    Great to see a video on the release, with specifics on hand and arm position. Instruction often focuses on the backswing, but unless you have a target finish position it's hard to swing "through" instead of "at" the ball. Practicing the finish is a genius way to give the arms and hands the destination and finally swing through. The Hackmotion product is terrific for correcting wrist angles.

    Another great video. I enjoy your videos as you get away from the old school teachings that I believe threw beginners off. Like the amateur @ 4:40 and 6:16. His impact mirrors the setup that "most" teachers teach students, but do not tell them the rest of the story. I do, and, have always believed setting up like this encourages early release and flipping. The beginner thinks he should come into impact like he was at setup, no shaft lean at impact, hands not leading, just the ever popular flip.. Love the bit with Freddy.....my all time favorite swing.

    This is pretty good. I feel people perceive the golf swing as "one piece" with just tons of flexibility...and I'm finding out myself... It's just not the case. I've been guilty of that for years. That and being afraid to rotate the club on the way through. Oh we like the feel of rotating it on the way back.. But not on the way down...and that's fighting how the club is designed to move. I know your focusing more on the extension part..and your right. I think people get too thinking of "this and not this" or even vice versa... Worried about timing.. And trying to eliminate it (which you can't).. But even then.. If finding out what "seems" to be too much timing.. If done right and in conjunction with it's offsetting move.. Actually helps with it... But it doesn't seem so at all. Great video btw..easy drill.

    Great video and perspective of the golf swing. Some of the best tips out there. This one is gold. Online training sounds great I’m just not sure how I get a video over to you that provides the quality that you need to provide feedback. Have you an app that you recommend that automatically records your swing without having to start/stop video recording ? ⛳️

    Thanks for the video Craig! Excellently drill, unfortunately it will be some time before I can swing a club as I blew my knee out last week swinging driver like the gentleman on the right frame at the 8:25 point in the video. I was in my simulator and I had my right leg planted too much and my knee gave out and I collapsed to the ground. I’m now waiting on my MRI results to see what the damage is…. Cheers

    Something you don't talk about in that video that I see in everyone one of the golfers who release the club in the way you advocate: they all have their forward (left) arm externally rotated through impact (left elbow turned in to and located close to the body folding through into an L position early in the through swing), and in the swings you don't like (hand drag through) their arms are internally rotated and chicken wing out through impact.
    The other things I see with the good swings versus the bad: in the good swings the right arm is straightening going into impact, and in the bad swings it is staying bent longer.
    You mention Couples, Els, and Mcilroy and one other thing you see in all three of their swings is they stay pressured down into the right (rear) leg in transition and most of the downswing. (Keeping the back foot down - flat footed). Their right hip and knee stay over the spot they were in at the top of the swing. The right hip and knee do not shoot out toward the ball to target line.

      Do it over several weeks and months don’t look for a quick fix this is about changing your hand motion.

  • @VimMitt
    @VimMitt 9 месяцев назад

    Sir, without the ball it is a totally a different swing than where there is a ball because ball has a weight and it needs to hit harder which restrict the swing. Ball is a hindrance to hit with club. Therefore, you have to make sure u do not feel hindrance at the ball.

    • @CraigHansonGolf
      @CraigHansonGolf  9 месяцев назад +1

      unfortunately you missed the point of the video. The drill front end therapy is to create the feel and then you hit the ball.
      I demonstrated that very clearly in slow motion with the first amateur. All i can do is release good instruction and clear information.
      If some people don’t understand this that’s their problem unfortunately.
      Over 95% however do.

      You're correct from a psychological point of view, which is players get stuck in their down swing and hit bad shots. But if your release is good you'll pick the ball up on the way through as if it isn't there.
