- We travelled in our Renegade 33 center console to The Bahamas in July 14th to the 24th, leaving from Harbour Town Marina in Fort Lauderdale Florida to our final destination, Staniel Cay Exumas Bahamas. Every year we travel several times to The Bahamas but due to the current pandemic situation, The Bahamas and many other places around the world have been closed. This year we had to take many procedures due to covid 19 to comply with the government of The Bahamas , from having covid 19 negative results and getting approved our health travel visas. Like alway ,we love the islands of The Bahamas the culture and the people. Stay tuned for part 2.

How was it navigating all the reefs? I saw that you were flying across a lot of the areas at high speed. I bent a prop just off the coast of Nassau once. Granted, I didn't have very good electronics, but now I just put around slowly in fear I might hit reefs. How do you cover so much area at such high speed with the confidence you won't hit a reef lying just below the surface?

Great video as usual!! Odd question. Who do you have boat insurance through? Im heading to staniel cay in a couple months on my Yamaha 242 and my company only offers out to 75 nm from the us coast.
I think I have US marine Insurance, but I know you can paid extra for being insured just to cover that one trip... go to jetboaters.net, it is a good forum and lots of Information regarding anything to do with jetboats
Thanks for the replies. Our trip was incredible. Hit storms to bimini and chub but other than that seas were good to Nassau. When we left nassau to go to staniel the wind picked up and got pounded by constant 3 footers with occasional 4 to 5. Took and extra 20 gal fuel. Thank god. we averaged 1 mph. I went on this trip cause of your video so thanks again. When we left staniel the last day we actually went all the way back to ft Lauderdale. Took 12 hrs but the seas were 1’ all day! Now to dream to get a bigger boat!

question I am thinking about getting Yamaha FSH 252 jet boat. Good enough or to bumpy? Noticed you graduated to bigger boat from the Yamaha. Yours?
In good weather you be more than fine. Just plan for a longer stay just on case weather change and you need to stay in some of this island for a longer time till weather is on you favor to cross....

Damn bud looks like you hit some waves. I was supposed to go to bimini. But the rona put a stop to it.
We did hit some weather , but alway a good time onces we get there.

We stayed at the Hilton hotel in bimini for a few days and we rented a house on the beach in staniel cay Exumas
Where was the house you stayed at there at the end of the video?
IT is call driftwood cottage in stained cay Exumas
