Kudos for stepping up in front of the camera Sam!! You crushed being a great host / talent and looked SO strong doing it. Relieved and glad Louis is ok, but I’m also pumped for more Sam in front of the camera!
I was there and witnessed it first hand, even got a video of it because I started filming in the perfect moment, was truly amazing to be a part of! BTW I was the guy in the background at 14:24💚 PS Louis is EXACTLY like in his videos absolutely surreal experience talking to him I felt like I was in a AR RUclips Video😂
haha louis coaches at my local gym and you aren't wrong. He is so down to earth and will always hype up random gymgoers on their climbs! Glad you got to meet him :)
I replayed the replay so many times ;) Slowmo made it look even more impressive! Congrats Riki! Such a humble guy. Sam cut a very good figure in front of the camera, too ;) Glad that Louis is doing well.
Great video! Riki did amazing, and Sam smashed it as a host. Always happy to see him in front of the camera! (Though I am *very* glad to see that Louis is ok! I got really worried when I heard "neck injury". 😮)
Loved the element of Sam being a small bit less experienced; I was really rooting for him! He did so well. Would love to see more climbers his level do hard climbs alongside Louis so we can visualise how tough it is.
Much Love.... you inspired me guys to start climbing.... and i already started ... 2 sessions in and doing v6 already... again much love, respect and appreciation for the door you opened for me
I‘ve been to this climbing gym already and it‘s for sure the best one i‘ve ever been to. It‘s so huge, great boulders and looks super aesthetic at the same time! Great recommendation for every one visiting south east germany!
damn, sorry to hear about Louis! Hope there's no residual effects. Definitely impressive how you were able to transition to host and had I not seen this channel before, I would have never known lol
Well done, Sam. Doubling for Captain Footloose👍👍👍. I genuinely think, you approach is beneficial; setting the hold further away in steps, having a row of successful attempts in the build up - opposed to having a row of failures as you get warm and close in on the hold. Very interesting to watch 👍💪☀️👍.
This was amazing, the progress also and the jump technique. Nice one and very well done taking over from Louis, amazing job! Loved the honest reactions too
Did you think about the angle along the wall (how much up and how much on the right to go for a fixed distance) or was it it only dictated by the size of the wall?
Doing it without stepping up method? But in the slow motion after the jump he does kick motion towards the flat wall. Is kicking off the wall not same as stepping up method?
well... I know it looks like I used the wall, but it was purely an involuntary movement. Probably a muscle reflex from trying the stepup. But I didn't even realise I was doing it until I saw the video. On the question of whether it counts as a stepup... as you can see in the video my leg pushes much faster than the speed I'm flying, which shows that I didn't use the wall. Secondly you can see that my speed doesn't change and neither does the direction after I do the "Stepup", so it didn't contribute anything. And lastly the wall is flat and overhanging, making it impossible to generate movement in the direction of the hold without pushing myself off the wall. But I have to admit that it looks funny what I did with my leg
Is the wall angle specified in the official dyno? That looked quite steep - but maybe since your body hangs out from the wall when you swing then some steepness is easier?
Pretty sure that I saw a video just a month ago that set the world record for dyno's, this is better, no doubt, but it's not a 15 year old record either. Well done regardless ;)
Great dyno! No offensive and in respect ro the guy who did the world record years ago: in comparrison with the world record where the footholds are vertically aligned to the two handholds I think by using the right foothold you cheated a couple of centimeters. Don‘t get me wrong - Still an impressive jump!! :O
I'm not sure what the world record rules specify, but I think something this could be good: no hold can be closer to the end hold than the hand hold, and the end hold has to be more than a specific angle up from the starting hand hold (like, 30+ degrees or something). This would give clear, easily measurable guide lines and let the record attempters adjust the holds to their liking.
The quality improved massively in the last month's, they invested tons of money In new volumes and macros. I was stunned, when I came back after my last Trip 1 year ago 😳
I feel like there’s a tournament forming here - all of there individual attempts are the qualifiers. You could host a shootout. (the invite list may be quite long by now though)
The start hold was the closest one to the finish hold😁 . Good eye. you can see that the foot hold is more to the right, but much further down, making it more distant.
Kudos for stepping up in front of the camera Sam!! You crushed being a great host / talent and looked SO strong doing it. Relieved and glad Louis is ok, but I’m also pumped for more Sam in front of the camera!
From "Cameraman Sam" to "Man-in-front-of-the-camera Sam". That's character progression haha
Sam is a natural in front of the camera. Better watch out Louis
Louis who??
😈

I just realized Louis is/was in Germany 😫

Nice energy from both of you. And a great deputy, Sam!!! 💙
Thank you! 😊

Thank you so much! Glad you liked the video
Great job hosting, Sam! Would love to see more!
Also, Riki's performance was insane!!

Bro Ricky was just floating wow
Hahahah Thank you!
What a awasome video to watch. Great vibe! And of course…proudest mom here, Riki!
world record in worlds biggest bouldering gym! Awesome! Seen your personal record dyno on your insta, Riki. I knew you gonna smash the record!
Much Love.... you inspired me guys to start climbing.... and i already started ... 2 sessions in and doing v6 already... again much love, respect and appreciation for the door you opened for me

Sam did an amazing job as a host😁
Riki, awesome man! GG. Thanks Sam, helps a lot!

Awesome job Sam, behind the camera, in front of the camera, you're crushing it!
Mad props to Riki, that's legit i n s a n e
Thank you!!
Smashed it lads and congrats Sam on taking lead, nicely done 💪
Awesome video, definitely would love to see sam in more videos ‼️
Well done, Sam. Doubling for Captain Footloose👍👍👍.

Sam you did a great job. Awesome video
That's insane! Btw, Louis' physique is so good. It's my first time seeing him going "shirtless"
Brazilian machine Rikki!!! 🔥🔥💪🏾
🐒
@8:07 "But that did feel close"
You said that sooo like Louis....
Man that was awesome
😁
Sam really did such a great job. Also the dyno(s) WTF
Boa Leke! ta voando Riki

Riki aka Brazilian grasshopper
sick video as always! Video idea: Would be cool if you climbed with orrin again at social climbing as he's the head route setter there?
BRAZIL MENTIONED 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Big up Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Should have done the city walls in dubrovnik. The views are stunning!
Maybe we can try to break the 3m mark there!
Did you think about the angle along the wall (how much up and how much on the right to go for a fixed distance) or was it it only dictated by the size of the wall?
Angle was considered to try and make it as similar to the other attempts out there - but the height vs vertical was dictated by the size of the wall!
Doing it without stepping up method? But in the slow motion after the jump he does kick motion towards the flat wall. Is kicking off the wall not same as stepping up method?
That's what I was wondering!
well... I know it looks like I used the wall, but it was purely an involuntary movement. Probably a muscle reflex from trying the stepup. Wish Louis all the best in his recovery.
looking forward to some rehab/recovery guides from the captain too!
Get well soon, Louis
Great video 🤩
Time for Sam to challenge Louis to a dyno-off!
Damn, Sam's legit good!
Really need to get Guinness involved and make this official
Leta repost!!
Sam that was sick! You might need a new camera man soon after your promotion ;) insane world record there!
8:00 when u jumped right before u left u let go to late with ur hands which u can see drag the speed away from ur body as u jump
Oh, the amount of airtime!
Representando o Brasil!
Sempree
Louis, what is that sweater? It's awesome!
So impressive from all of you ❤
Sick dyno👌🏻 congratulations🎉
Thank you!!
Nice of Riki to pretend not to be able to get it until Louis came back.
🤫🤫🤫
Wondering how other variables play a role here... It seems all 3 angles make a difference to how difficult this is. It would be nice to test it out :)
Mlk é brabo
Is the wall angle specified in the official dyno? That looked quite steep - but maybe since your body hangs out from the wall when you swing then some steepness is easier?
Yes, it was quite steep hahahah, but yes, the angle makes a big difference, probably the less steep walls are easier. Have to try
I'd like to imagine since Sam was hosting Louis was stuck behind the camera in a neck brace filming it.
More Sam pls 🙏
LezzGoo Rikiii 🤟🏼🇧🇷🤟🏼
Boraaa
🇧🇷mandou mt!
Couldn't have louis trying the world record because he would just campus it 😂.
Pretty sure that I saw a video just a month ago that set the world record for dyno's, this is better, no doubt, but it's not a 15 year old record either. Well done regardless ;)
thanks!!
Does using the black volume mean he cheated? Genuine question
😅😅

Esse cara é meu ídolo,
😍
you know it's far when the jug gets cut out of a lot of the wide shots!
hahhahah thats right
boa rikinhooo
You misspelled "Erlangen" (Elergan) in the description 😅
Thanks! All changed
sam's pretty cool to watch tho
Is it me or does the world record keep changing?
Blockhelden in Erlangen 👌🏻
Can't understand why they'd choose this gym. The holds and volumes there are so low quality and so worn out :o
@@Icemanfreezer7 Because Riki usually sets there, I guess
The quality improved massively in the last month's, they invested tons of money In new volumes and macros. I was stunned, when I came back after my last Trip 1 year ago 😳
Boa riki caraioo
Awesome work! And did not think Louis would be someone who would do cupping. Can't win them all!
I feel like there’s a tournament forming here - all of there individual attempts are the qualifiers.
You could host a shootout.
(the invite list may be quite long by now though)
🦅
🔥🐐
Canguruzao do 🇧🇷
should probably measure from the hold closest to the finish-hold - foothold is too far right. Still mad impressive tho.
The start hold was the closest one to the finish hold😁 . Good eye.
you can see that the foot hold is more to the right, but much further down, making it more distant.
how tall are you guys?
180cm😁
Isn't speed climbing just one mega dyno?
Didn't i see storrror Toby do a 3m dyno not even a month ago in some video?
Yeah...they posted a video recently, but only made it to 296cm
Very epic, but all the other world records used regular jugs and not a hero hold as the top.
I can say that our choice of holds wasn't the best, the top hold was much worse to hold than I imagined, using a jug would have been much better.
Leva os caras pra fazer seus dynos da 90 kkkkkkk
eles nao tao prontos para isso
i love you riki🫶
😍
Tf happened do your back????
Hahah
this is BRASIL PORRA 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
🇧🇷 pouraa
Louis indulging cupping quackery?
The algorithm's effect on topics is f**ing annoying: as soon as something ends up in recommended everyone's gotta make a vid on it.
Well I hope you can beat a 15 year old’s world record! 😉

First to disappoint your mom
@@jvandep Yeah, I really mucked it up.
Nice job Sam 👌 wow…. Also Riki 🫨
