    I am a Personal Trainer and was introduced to this at a convention. For any of you suffering I recommend this treatment as a starting point of recovery. It is now understood that your pain is most likely dehydrated fascia, now recognized to be a separate system in the body. You did a great demonstration.

    Hi!
    So they think I have costochondritis. My pain originally started in my upper back back in November where the thoracic meets the cervical spine. I’m in the process of correcting my posture to get rid of that hump in the back. They said I have a very minor subluxation of the cervical C4 on five and C5 on c6 2- 3 mm
    My question is do you have any exercises that can help me stretch out the facia on the front of my body. My pics are extremely tight my scalene‘s and my SEM are also very tight along with my upper traps they’re getting better but I want to know what else I can do for myself. Once I loosen up the front of my body I can then focus on strengthening my upper back but right now the front is way too tight.

    Don't forget to include chiropractic adjustment to the C5-T2 vertebrae. After practicing for 35 years, I have seen many extremity problems get better with spinal adjustments, esp. Gonstead chair.

      Love Gonstead Technique!

      It’s important to remember scope of practice!! Someone certified in stretch / myofascial therapy cannot intentionally perform skeletal adjustments without licensing for that.

    Did you take a course in this or just compiled your own knowledge? Also what if she had a tear to one of the rotator cuff muscles could you still perform FST?

    • @AdvancedMovement
      @AdvancedMovement  4 года назад

      Hey Milka, I originally took a course by Stretch To Win Inc. But totally have created my own flare of Fascial Stretch Therapy along the way. It depends on the severity of the RC Injury, what muscles of the RC are affected, and there should be a extensive history and assessment done on this before proceeding. I am an Athletic Therapist and this is within my scope of practice to assess and treat musculoskeletal injuries. FST is just on the tools in my tool box to help my achieve my clients ability to heal.

    Hello thanks for great video. How long upper body stretching usually last? 30 minutes?

    • @AdvancedMovement
      @AdvancedMovement  3 года назад

      Hey Jason, glad you liked the video! its really client specific, I can spend anywhere from 30-60 mins depending on the issue. I would say a minimum on 30 mins for an upper body FST session. Let me know if you have anyother questions.
