- MiG-29 now has some multirole capability on contention, more options for red which is always nice.
I hope you enjoy!

lol that's got to be a damn nice coincidence, I just downloaded the HARMs for the mig 29 and i couldn't figure out how to use them, and 40 mins later you upload this video. Thank you, you got a sub
Hi Joe, thanks for the great video as always! I learned so much about DCS with your videos! 🤙
thanks for trying out my livery, hope you like it
That's so cool!
Noice Harmage 😎
I expected them to replace the R-27s, being able to have both is pretty nice.
I wonder if you could launch them at a hostile aircraft that’s locking you if they have to be launched maddog.
There’s a story from Vietnam about (I think) a Shrike locking the radar emissions from a B-52’s tail gun, so it’s not as idiotic a thought as it might initially sound…
firing is one thing but hitting....
An AGM-88 was fired at and hit a B-52 during the Gulf War, is that the story you were thinking of?
@@llamallama1509
Aye that’ll be it, I figured by then they must’ve ditched the tail guns but I must be wrong
@@llamallama1509 thats not true lol, a) the harm has a contact fuse not a proxy fuse and would not be accurate enough to directly contact the B-52. b) if the harm had hit the B-52 it would have completely destroyed the bomber not just damage it as the story goes
@@_cyantist Thank you for inspiring me to go on a deep dive into the incident. I've found multiple references to the harm having a laser proximity fuse, specifically "FMU-111/B laser proximity fuze". Maybe you know details I'm missing, but that would seem to suggest that it could detonate before hitting the target? I'm happy to be corrected here.
Also, I've found footage claiming to be a harm hitting a target in Ukraine and the shrapnel pattern is largely lateral, and since the harm is design to hit static targets I would presume that against a moving target it would lack the ability to fly an intercept course and so would end up flying a tail pursuit course? A missile proximity detonating a little distance behind the extreme tails sounds a lot more survivable, especially for such a huge aircraft facing a warhead that focuses most of its damage laterally. I found the description of the damage to B-52G tail number 58-0248 and it was said to have received damage to "six foot of tail aft of 1853 bulkhead".
If it was damage from a SAM, it would seem most likely an IR missile would hit at or near an engine, or if homing on skin heat would go for centre of mass. And radar guided missiles would also seem most likely to hit centre of mass. Again, I may be wrong, sometimes flukes happen, but going on the odds it makes SAMs seem unlikely. AAA could hit the tail of course, but six foot of tail damage seems a lot for their relatively small warheads.
Do you have any more useful information of things I've missed? I would love to hear more since it was a difficult topic to find primary or relatively close sources for.
Thanks again!
Ty for Red planes video
HARMS love loft and are harder to intercept if they're coming straight down on a target.
are you using any sound mods
Wow that was a massacre
How are you using HARMS in the MiG-29
Server specific weapon
@@mrshar1000 Thank you
Makes absolutely no sense for redfor...
I thought only Ukrainian MiG-29s could shoot HARMs.
different universe
On an '80s server that is extremely cringe
