RUclips is a powerful platform to learn anything and it is thanks to professionals that condense years of wisdom and knowledge into great vids like this, many thanks
I particularly made a search on how so speak like a BA and only your video popped up on Google with the exact content I want. For someone transitioning from a totally different career path with a totally different lingo, this has been an immense help. Everyone just says to learn it but no one actually shows you the how. I wish you had more videos like this. Thank you so much
Discussion - rather than Talked to SME/Technical architect/Developer Iterative - rather than Design/Requirement (meeting) Documentation - rather than post on Jira/Confluence Presentation/Walkthrough Complete the workflow or close the gaps - missed req. Next step / Review - Come back to you What would be helpful - We should do this
Admittedly I’ve been looking for ways to professionally articulate in my work environment. Your suggestions are great starting points for me! Thanks for this Kara!!
This is so helpful. I'm starting a career in BA and finding ur videos has been so helpful. The simplicity is so encouraging. God bless your heart. Besides, I like your name...(smiles).
Omg I love this video so very much and this is gonna help me with my interview preparations. You such an amazing lady with so much to share to us all, so for that we say thank you for impacting knowledge into lives.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. Your content is gold and has helped me become more confident as I start my career as a business analyst. ❤
Thank you so much for your words of wisdom 😊#4 (I'll create documentation) is especially helpful, as many times me and my peers would get feedback to improve our communication in board meeting calls, because we weren't keeping it "high level" -- but no one would really explain what that truly meant. Now I understand what that actually means; being concise is more effective than being detailed in this case
There you go! Thats it! In a strategic level conversation you have to be skillful enough to bring the point across without getting everyone bogged down in the minute details. Glad this video was helpful for you!
As someone who is looking to transition into a BA role this was exactly what I was looking for and didn’t even know it also helps how I can tailor my resume thank you soooo much ❤️🤗
Some how you are reading my mind with alllllll of your videos... buzz words etc i just dont hav that confidence yet.. but im working on it all even my code switching accent/tone/speed lol
Excellent video, exactly what I'm looking for: day in the life experience. Anyone can describe the position, but there are ways of doing things that are harder to capture.
Its quiet interesting how we reject the reality of our situation and expect to be able to observe it, control it and even change it. I used to be financially depressed until I read a book that made me realized that the secret to making a million is making better investments.
What I think everyone need is an adviser, who can help you get in and out of any investment at any time and you'd sure be in Profit. With this I feel anyone can basically achieve financial freedom.
Credits to *ROCHELLE DUNGCA-SCHREIBER,* she saw me through the process. You can glance her name up on the internet and verify her yourself. she has years of financial market experience
Indeed, The quickest way to make your first millions is to invest directly with an expert that is trustworthy and has made a name and individual billionaires.. I'm surprised you know her too
Do NOT fall for what all these scammers are saying about Rochelle or getting a financial adviser. Go to your local bank and speak to Financial advisor. RUclips have all this scammers repeating the same things jut to lure you and hook you up. Stay away from anyone who come to you talking about someone that helped have financial freedom bla blabla....wake up!
This is good! Other terms that I thought of while watching and anyone reading this can apply it however they see fit. I thought of the terms demonstrate, assessed or assessment, recommendation.
Hi Ramya, thank you for checking out the video! I have done a few videos on writing requirements that you can find on my channel. I also have a template for your requirements document you can download for free here: karaleise.com/business-analyst-templates/. In my upcoming course I'll be teaching how to get high level requirements and break them down into more detail, you can join the waiting list for the course on my website (www.karaleise.com )and be notified when its ready! Hope this helps!
Welcome! welcome welcome! Please take a look at the other videos to see what else you will find useful. Also please join my email list at www.karaleise.com!
Thank you so much Mehran!! I appreciate your support - please share with anyone you think will find this useful! If you are on the go - you can listen to my podcast as well here: bit.ly/39CQWeC
What type of question BA ask to stakeholders during workshops? How do you know the solution you advice is good .? My interviewer asked me these questions
SME - it means "subject matter expert". These are the stakeholders who know the intricate operational details of whatever process/product/service your project is about. Thanks for watching and I hope that clears it up.
I really don't know what this vid is about ( regardless of its title ). If you are a BA......You Talk Like a BA!!!! Those who are in the know; and interviewing or meeting with a purported BA, hear through the spoken, and body language, through the wardrobe, etc...straight to the acumen. All the chucking out of "terms" does not make a BA!
It's the de-professionalization of everything. Might as well call this, "How to sound like a BA (even if you are not a BA)." The "fake it 'till you make it" mentality won't serve her audience well.

This lady is a legend. "I'm going to complete the workflow. I'm going to close the gaps." Haha, love it.
You are making a difference in many person's life Kara. Keep up the good work.
