Why not weld a bracket for the exhaust valve simulator to mount to, even if it isn't actually moving a valve anymore? It seems like that would be a better solution that tucking it under the heat shield to rattle around. I'm interested in the system for my '23 M340i, it just seems like your team built an amazing exhaust system then took the most expedient solution when it came to the exhaust valve simulator.
It doesn't move around when tucked away. Also, the valve motor is still ooperating when attached to our simulator. The design of our simulator is what keeps the ECU satisfied.
@awetuning should the non resonated touring exhaust work? Also I read somewhere that the mufflers at the end of the touring exhaust system don't really work as mufflers but resonators. Will that make it sound like a straight pipe or do they kill some of the unwanted sounds?
@@mohammaddalloul9891 Non-Res Touring with a DP sounds awesome. What you read is correct -- 180 Technology® resonator are not traditional packed mufflers. They're straight-through resonators with zero packing material. If you look through the resonator, it looks exactly like a straight pipe. They're engineered to hone in on particular frequencies that produce drone, flips them 180 degrees, and injects the flow back into the primary stream. It's straight-pipe tone and power without drone. Magic, really.
The Track Edition would render the most volume both in and our of the cabin, but not by much as the Non-Res Touring Edition is a straight-through design with no traditional acoustic packing material.

I have AWE Touring on my '16 340 M Sport,....and I must say,...the throaty sound is intoxicating to say the least!
Sounds and looks fantastic! Might have to add this on my "future purchase list" once my M340i arrives.
That sounds like a great idea :)
That is a cracking exhaust
Great video nice explanation. Fix in the x3 340i 2021 ?. Affect the warranty from dealer ?

Agree. I just installed this and just letting it hang there inside rear fender liner is not the smartest thing to do.
@@E39M5SPEED Tucked into the heat sheilding, it's safe. We tested, nothing to worry about.
Do all the pipes need to be bottom out to have a perfect fit?
Bottoming the pipes is ideal as our measurements and specs of each components account for it.
Does it fit a g26 m440i gran coupe
Will it fit or will you make a version for the g01 x3 m40i?
If I was to unplug the valve and not plug it back in would I get a CEL?
It will irritate the ECU. With that said, given we supply the accommodation to keep it plugged in, no excuses :)
Awe has some exhaust systems without muffler but resonated
Are those good?
I have a catless dp
The Track Edition is going to be very aggressive with a catless DP. If you want comfort on the highway, consider the Touring Edition.

Excellent detailed video...... make more and u will gain subsrcibers!!!!
Thanks for the good words, Austin.
Do you guys sell the black tips separately?
To current AWE owners only. Not as a stand-alone item.
Will this fit the M440i GC? g26?
No confirmation at this time due to length differences.
Will this fit in a G42 M240i?
Negative, unfortunately. There's a significant length difference between the two.
@@awetuning will you guys be making an exhaust for the G42?
@@gOldEnfFatTy2997 No plans at this particular moment but could always change.

is this street legal in AZ?
Comes after the emissions equipment so it should be.
Called MP in Rancho C, only 2020’s can be juiced
2021's can run JB4 and similar piggybacks right now.
