Really good skates. My normal size is 42 slim ,bought 42-43 and fits perfect. The skates are fast with great steering capabilities, good cornering. I like boot adjustement and design. Frame doesn't look strong. Highly recommended if you can afford.
It is nice to hear your explanation of the advantages of a Trinity mounting system. I had never quite investigated the reasons to make this system potentially beneficial versus other frames. That makes sense having that wider "connection" between your foot and the skate. It certainly sounds like a boost in power transfer with more precision-like control.
@@RicardoLino Yes, another good point that you made. Distributing the vibrations more evenly translates to a longer ride for sure. I must admit that I'm becoming a bit curious about these. Once my FR1's start gathering a bit more road time, I just may step into the world of Powerslide.
@@RicardoLino I have to disagree, from my feeling the vibrations are the same as with the simple frame or even more. That trinity mount is just another year for powerslide to push skate sales, because they cant normally happen with same skates technical capabilities including different looks for skates. I just got my Next Navy 125s in 2 days ago. I haven’t skated since I was 18 and I’m 34 now. Feels like a day hasn’t passed since my skating days and I love my 125s. Looking forward to building my skate collection and experiencing different designs! Thanks for the review!
Remember, you helped me choosing the right size with the Next. (I have narrow feet and normally 45-46) I have the 44-45 now and on one side it was really tight, but after some gentle heat treatment it is just perfect. But in search for the ultimate boot fitting for my weird feet I have also tried Imperial boots and in combination with the Intuition liners. The Imperial is of course different in sizing but with the Intuition (size L) I have the most supportive skate with the 43-44 shell. So the down-sizing really worked. I have also tried the Intuition liners in the Next, but the heel lock is missing there. The Next shell and liner also doesn't have the expressed shape of the heel. But I think the Next version of Fat Boy is really better than on the Imperial. What I have also noticed is that my 3x125 Katana frame couldn't be moved enough to the inside on the Next. No such problem with the same frame on other boots though. And it was quite easy to loose a cuff screw and the corresponding rocker insert ;) Cheers!
Heel lock is important for slalom tricks, right? Looking for a pair of skates myself and came across your comment. Thanks for sharing your find outs; really good stuff! :D
Thank you. Two Questions: 1. What's about the Next Renegade 125, do you even advise carbon boot for SUV Skates? 2. Do you know from powerslide why they delay to produce the Next Renegade 125 in size 48/49 again and again?
I have been fighting liver cancer and now I’m near what I hope is that treatment will have worked out as good as it has been. I’m 53 and skated for years and since then moved into the woods and was left with not very places to skate. This last few weeks I had put on my old skates and now just a bit too tight and I was thinking of getting a replacement booty and then I find these skates I like everything that it has and in 2 days should arrive next core black 80 and I can barely focus happy in 2
I found these to fit narrow towards the back half of the skate. Plenty of wiggle room for the toes, but I got intense pressure points on the inner sides of both feet. This resulted in unbearable pain after skating for an hour or so. Bummer. Most people say these boots are roomy, but in my case I should have probably sized up. I decided to just bang some 125mm GC frames on my Xsjados instead. lol.
Nice honest and interesting review. This skate certainly seems to be the 'in' skate at the moment. Lots of different reviews and footage on youtube etc. Powerslide have been very clever with the styling as it appeals to the aggressive skater as well with its chunky looks.
Now i ordered one pair.. Enter the trinity... With all possibilities/options from 4x80.. Kizerflux 4x90.. 3x100.. And maybe iceskating in our local ice hockey team ice hall
@@GorillaDev417 I think I'm gonna be ordering those when they restock. If you don't mind me asking would a size 40-41 be right for 257mm feet? These will be my first pair so I'm nervous since I can't try them on anywhere lol
Good honest review Lino, thanks! I considered these with the SUV frame for the, frankly, sh!tty country roads at home, (and off road, of course) but I'm not sure yet. First, because I have a wider foot, and also, I'm not sure it gives enough support on big wheels. Still thinking about it.
Thank you, this review was very helpful. I feel a bit better about my blind purchase. Because it is nearly impossible to find a shop where you can try on a wide variety of skates here in the Midwest United States, I did a few days of research and talked to approximately 10 different people before deciding which 2 skates I was going to buy with the intention of sending one back. I previously bought the Rollerblade Twister XT and was incredibly dissatisfied with the weight/balkiness and it did not fit tight enough around my leg. After returning the RollerBlade Twister XT, I decided to go with the PowerSlide Next Core 80 and the Phuzion Argon 80. I anticipate probably sending one of the skates back because my guess is that the Next Core will be the preferred skate. I will follow up after I've tried them out next week when they arrive and let you know which one I prefer.
@@knoton3747 Both skates arrived too small so I did not get to try them. Lucky for me that the new size is on backorder so it looks like I'll be waiting an eternity to skate.🤣
Dear Ricardo, first of all - thanks for this detailed review. I know, that it's a bit old, but maybe you can clarify one point: you've told that your version is size 42-43 and it's ok for your comfort. At the same time you are wearing usually 43. Can you please tell what size of regular shoes you are wearing in normal? uk. us - whatever you like to shar of course) Thank you!
My foot is size 8. I have a black 110mm Next size 7.5 and I use them with some intuition liners instead oficial the regular Myfit. It feels amazing, maybe the best skates I ever had. I used to skate a rollerblade Twister (the older version) with pleasure tool frames and the Intuitions. But my corrent setup is way more better.
well im going to have my first inline skate in my entire life and it will be the Next Supercruiser 110 i really thank you fro your specific information concerning the Next but i'm worry 'bout the size cos on the mat it shows that my accurate size is 41 but the seller told me that i've to get it at the size of 42 the issue here that im still waiting for the shipping and also its my first time to have an inline skate so if you please just let me know more about the 110mm
my wide foot does not fit in the powerslide next 100 but the length is fine. Can I heat mold the hardshell to make it wider or should I replace the liner with compressed socks?
You mentioned the room in the toe, that doesn't translate to any sloppiness does it? Like when you're turning or something, do you feel like you're moving around inside at all?
Is there a benefit or disadvantage to a cast frame vs other types of frames? I noticed you mentioned cast frames and I recently purchased a 310 Seba frame for my iGor boot which I believe is cast..
Hi Ricardo, Powerslide does have a Next 80 skate. Released not long ago. They also have a Next 100. You probably have skated all 3. Can you share with us the experience of the Next 100? If you were to pick one of the 3, which will you pick? 80, 100 or 125?
I just ordered next suv with 100 wheels. But the left boot, make a pressure in inside ankle, i feel uncomfortable and it made circle scar because the pressure. Would u please tell me how to make it better. Feel so hurt when u wear it.
You can heat mold them, I would look up Powerslide's tutorial of what you can do to accomplish a perfect fit. Some of them will add paper in certain parts to relieve pressure, they get pretty detailed as to what to do....look it up, I highly recommend it if you are being injured by the skate.
I was thinking about getting these for everyday transportation! Taking my kid to kindergarten! 2km. Going from there to work, 2 KM more, and back again after work! i would get the 80 versions, to also be able to play when riding home from work! Would you suggest any other skate? i have a Seba C.J. Wellsmore boot i could use for a setup with a frame! BUt which? love the videos Lino!!!
@Jonas Engberg if you have the Seba CJ Wellsmore aggressive skates you can use the Seba UFS Deluxe Frames with 80mm wheels and you will be ready to go for freeskating, take care bro !!!

Thanks for the review. I liked it a lot but you had completely different frames than what you get when you buy them. Your frames are much better than the originals.
I have a Kaze with 3x100mm and Iam thinking of changing it to the next skate. I have to try them first to feel the difference if I can find any i will switch them.
Shud i get the next 100 or the next 80? Or the zooms? I have wider feet and am a bigger guy(over 200lbs) i have skated my whole life tho and am not a beginner...i just want a solid pair of skates that i can cruise and play hockey in and skatepark...i have always had the 4/80mm setup my whole life but am interested in the speed of the three wheel like the 3/100mm. But i am just not sure...please respond on what you think please!
Why do different frame setups of the Next have different colours? Like if you want white boot and white frame, you're basically stuck with the 4x90 set up unless you buy that and then spend more to change the frame.
So I bought the boot and I need a frame. I'm considering getting the standard frame for 80mm. But I'm also considering the Kizer Flux Trinity and put 4x80mm on. Would you say the skates will keep the 9-9.5/10 rating with the Kizers?
Ive skated my whole life inline/ice hockey...skated aggressive a little bit too...i am 31 now and want some good skates i can do anything with(hockey, street,indoor,skatepark....etc.) SO should i spend the extra 150 and get these for around $280 USD, OR do u guys think i should just get the powerslide zoom models?(for around $180 USD.....?!?!
Lino - I saw your farewell video... Will def be watching! Back to the subject here... I started skating in 92’ with Rollerblade Aeroblades with 4x80’s. Went through the aggro scene etc. and have been off and on over the years but have always preferred a flat setup. I now have Razors SL’s that feel the most comfy with my very wide feet. Considering a Tri setup and these Next blades look nice. I may do a 4x80 or 3x(?)... Just haven’t decided yet. I intend to keep the Razors for the park setup. I am torn between rolling the dice with Next or something like the Razors Cosmos since it can swap around easily also with the GC frames. I’ve read that they aren’t as wide as SL’s though. Any input from anybody is greatly appreciated. Cheers from South Carolina, USA.
Great review Ricardo... Thanks! But damn! I was really interested on these skates, specially with a 3x100 or 3x110 setup... until I heard about the dual sizing that goes 44-45 as I wear size 44 and like the skates to fit as snug as possible. I'm afraid the Next would be too big for my feet. My FR1's feel perfect in length but I do feel them a bit wide for me. Will Powerslide ever renew the Imperial boot and add a Trinity mount on them? If yes... I'm pretty sure those would be my perfect skates.
I'm a 44 aswell. I have the powerslide next 80. Powerslide are a tight fit so I went one size up and they fit perfectly. Since I'm a uk 10, I bought the uk 11-12. I had the same concerns about the size but they fit very well plus the fact there heat moldable makes them fit even more snug. The trinity frame is a good edition as well.
I find the handling with the laces extremly annoying, FR is much easier at this point. With the Next Boot it takes a lot of time to loosen and tighten the laces. One of the reasons I will sell them.
Hey, man. I'm thinking about buying the same but I'ver heard there's something weird about the right boot, something about a weird pressure point by the inner arch section. Do you feel something like that?
Dear Ricardo! Would you kindly to get your opinion about size of NEXT skates? I have foot 275mm. NEXT have sizes 42-43 (271-278mm) and 44-45 (286-293mm). How do you think - which size will be better for me?
I have the same question here. I am about the same as you (271). based on the sizing from the company we should get the 42-43. (My normal shoe size is 45). I asked them and they never got back to me. Hopefully Ricardo can help us out with that.
Hi Cep, what size did you get and what do you think of the skates? My size is similar to you: 275mm left & 280mm right so keen to know. Thanks in advance.
@@tonybrown9779 Hi, bro! I buying size 42/43 and it fit perfectly! There is very high probability, that 41/42 will be too small. About skates - it's awesome! No any troubles to me, when changed old skates with weels 80mm to 110mm. But be careful, it hella fast and maneuverable!
Could you tell me what is the other frame with 4x wheels but bigger then the 80mm is it trinity? The problem is if you buying 44-45 the 243 frame is to short it could be 255mm for bigger size. Thanks
But what about off-road, I was hoping to get your input maybe 125 or 150's. My roads are useless but there is plenty of gravel pathes and trails to choose from.
You didnt say anything about the canting adjustment screw. I was hopping to hear something about that because i am bow legged and i need a boot with cant adjustment like ski boots.
I ordered them, size 40-41 although I am a size 39 (25 cm long feet), because I read everywhere that they fit narrower feet. There is almost 2 cms space at the back when I take out the liner. The liner itself is about 1 cm too long. So I am thinking about ordering 38-39 to compare. What do you think ? Greetings from Germany !!
@@AlmostLakai94 Yes absolutely. I kept size 38-39 and my big toes touch the shell, although it's still comfortable and in no way a problem. 25.7 cm will fit very well with 40-41.

I noticed that the 4x80 frame you used here is different from the 4x80 frame the Next 80 is sold with. can you explain the differences, which frame is better?
I just bought this skate but the laces are not long enough to reach the upper eyelets of the liner in mine. Did you skip some eyelets so you could lace them up?
Thank you for this interesting analysis. I have seen it because I have recently moved to a hilly suburban area to live, where the roads aren't in very good shape. (Raw asphalt, trees dirt and cracks). I'd love cruising around here but I sincerelly don't know what the best inline skate option would be. Next SUV maybe? I'd appreciate your point of view. Thank you very much. Paco
Hi, could you make a video on hot to correctly (and efficiently) lace these skates? I've just unpacked my new Next 80s and it took me like half an hour to lace and put on one shoe. And I'm still not sure if this is how it's supposed to be. Pretty please.... :)
hello, sorry I had a query .... I bought the next core black 80 in size 44-45 and the frame came 275mm and 80mm wheels .... I wanted to know if I can put a 243mm trinity frame on my skate size 44-45 ... do you think it is compatible? .... thanks for the videos they help us a lot ..
Thank you for the review on the next been waiting for it. Not sold on it though. Is it because it is not the evo so my question is Is there a good long use cruising skate 125 that not as pricey as the evo
This is what I want to know too. He said the evo gives more support....but how does the support for the Next compare to other 125s around the same price level.
Hey I just wanted to ask you how long does it take to break in hey boo I got the next power slides 110 and on the inside of my boot by my ankle when I first got them I have a lot of pain now I’ve been riding for like five hours on them during two weeks. And the pain got less I think the plastic on the boat was digging into my ankle well that eventually go away you got a little better but is that part of the process of breaking in the boot
Ricardo I am planning to buy some POWERSLIDE Next 80 Core Black . I have a question about sizing . My feet measure 26cm sharp . all day . I have a bit of a wider foot . can you tell me which size should I get? 40-41 or the 42-43?
Good comprehensive review! Two questions: (1) Are these single screw axle? (2) Do you rate these skates in comparison with only other Powerslide skates or with skates of other brands as well?
Hello! Amazing review! I noticed you mention carbon boots for the support. I am going to buy some skates for traveling around town, the ground can be uneven so there will be a lot of bumps and vibrations involved. Would you mention some boots that you really liked as 125mm? I have a pair of SEBA FR1 and I am considering just switching the frame to a 125mm, but new skates is also an option.
Bought these last year and found the top cuff fit way too loose. The way the cuff tightens, a strip of plastic slides under the top strap but if you try to tighten it right up, it can only go so far. I trimmed these about an inch the fit is SO much better. Just thought I'd add this in case anyone finds the same.
Hey I love your channel just wanted to ask you a question I just got the next 110 power slides and on the inner part of my ankle the boot is Digging in and it’s giving me a lot of pain when I first started writing now it’s a little better is that part of the process of breaking in the book will it eventually all go alway ?

Now i ordered one pair.. Enter the trinity... With all possibilities/options from 4x80.. Kizerflux 4x90.. 3x100.. And maybe iceskating in our local ice hockey team ice hall
I've got a pair of the Next boot with outbacker 150s on the way.
Trying to figure out what’s a good pair to get in 2021 and I really like this skate might order one today!
I just got the Next Core 90s and loving em! 4x90 setup is just perfect!
Thank you for all this information!! Very helpful!!
Which one did you like better?
@@knoton3747
Both skates arrived too small so I did not get to try them. Lucky for me that the new size is on backorder so it looks like I'll be waiting an eternity to skate.🤣
I ordered the Next Core 80 in 1 size larger and instead of the Argon, I ordered the K2 Uptown.
Dear Ricardo, first of all - thanks for this detailed review.
I know, that it's a bit old, but maybe you can clarify one point:
you've told that your version is size 42-43 and it's ok for your comfort. At the same time you are wearing usually 43.
Can you please tell what size of regular shoes you are wearing in normal? uk. us - whatever you like to shar of course)
Thank you!
But my corrent setup is way more better.
what you think bout the next 110mm ?
I want a pair of these but I can’t decide! Seems like there’s so many good skates out there.
Me to can’t decide
well im going to have my first inline skate in my entire life and it will be the Next Supercruiser 110
i really thank you fro your specific information concerning the Next but i'm worry 'bout the size cos on the mat it shows that my accurate size is 41 but the seller told me that i've to get it at the size of 42 the issue here that im still waiting for the shipping and also its my first time to have an inline skate so if you please just let me know more about the 110mm
my wide foot does not fit in the powerslide next 100 but the length is fine. Can I heat mold the hardshell to make it wider or should I replace the liner with compressed socks?
Fr fr1 310's vs these in triskate? Wide feet.
I don't know what to do. The "NEXT (3WD)" or the "Twister Edge 3WD"?
Need help...
Same for me only 4WD but have to say the styling of the Next 80 in all black is better than Twister Edge. So I think I go for the next!
Choose based on what will fit your foot better
No one reviews a skate better than Ricardo Lino ✌🏻
Really nice review. Going to try these in the shop next week
It was really helpfull opinion. I was supposted to buy this skates (80mm) and now i am sure that is good choice. Tomorrow I will order them :)
You ever get those skates? If so how do you like them? I want to get the 4x90s.
Did you ever get the issue fixed with your skates?

These or the FR 1s?
I have a Kaze with 3x100mm and Iam thinking of changing it to the next skate. I have to try them first to feel the difference if I can find any i will switch them.
Good video. The only question you did not answer is the build quality. I have the Zoom Pro 100, I love those skates, but they feel a bit cheap.
Alright I'm getting a pair man! :D
bravo on your valued opinion
Do you use spaces in your skates?
And is it possible to see an next vs fr1 comparison video?
I'm dying for this!
You are awesome bro, thank you!
Can you tell me diffenrence between trinity system and regular frame.
What is diffenrence when you do skate?
Ive skated my whole life inline/ice hockey...skated aggressive a little bit too...i am 31 now and want some good skates i can do anything with(hockey, street,indoor,skatepark....etc.) SO should i spend the extra 150 and get these for around $280 USD, OR do u guys think i should just get the powerslide zoom models?(for around $180 USD.....?!?!
Thanks a lot for the review! Lots of very useful information. I'm now ready to order my first pair of tri-skates: Next 125 Navy. :)
Thanks for review..
can those be turned to agressive skates like boom 80??
Does these skates included sole inside the liner?
Hi Ricardo, I can't find the followup. Could you post a link please?
Thanks for the review!
Got the same next pro with the white wheels
What's about the 110 or 100 mm rolls? Saw that question some comments below too. That's actually one of my main motivations to try these skates.
You didnt say anything about the canting adjustment screw. I was hopping to hear something about that because i am bow legged and i need a boot with cant adjustment like ski boots.
I have imperial does it worth it to upgrade to next ?
I ordered them, size 40-41 although I am a size 39 (25 cm long feet), because I read everywhere that they fit narrower feet. There is almost 2 cms space at the back when I take out the liner. The liner itself is about 1 cm too long. So I am thinking about ordering 38-39 to compare. What do you think ?
Greetings from Germany !!
I'm actually right about 25.7cm and was wondering if you think I'd fit in the 40-41? I'm really liking these skates but I'm nervous about ordering
@@AlmostLakai94 Yes absolutely. I kept size 38-39 and my big toes touch the shell, although it's still comfortable and in no way a problem. 25.7 cm will fit very well with 40-41.
@@Geexx4 thank you very much! I've been looking around for advice everywhere and this was perfect 👌🏽 I hope you're enjoying them!
@@AlmostLakai94 you're welcome ! They are great skates you won't regret them. If you need advice, I also suggest a great Facebook group called Beginner Inline Skating (Rollerblading). They have tons of friendly useful tips.

I noticed that the 4x80 frame you used here is different from the 4x80 frame the Next 80 is sold with. can you explain the differences, which frame is better?
What about Vibration in these skates ?
Because the most thing i heard about it These skates have more Vibration then the others skates
is that truth ?
if anything they have less imo. the trinity system helps with vibration alot
Hey, Lino, what wheels do you have on the 4wd setup in this video? These look different to the 80mm PS-Spinners the skates come with.
And now I can't take it off, so tight. Heeelp! And I noticed you probably can even hurt yourself if you do put these on and off without knowing how
hello, sorry I had a query .... I bought the next core black 80 in size 44-45 and the frame came 275mm and 80mm wheels .... I wanted to know if I can put a 243mm trinity frame on my skate size 44-45 ... do you think it is compatible? .... thanks for the videos they help us a lot ..
How can i rocker the 100 mm Powerslide next?! i mean there are no 96 mm wheels available, Ideas?
Thank you for the review on the next been waiting for it. Not sold on it though. Is it because it is not the evo so my question is Is there a good long use cruising skate 125 that not as pricey as the evo
This is what I want to know too. He said the evo gives more support....but how does the support for the Next compare to other 125s around the same price level.
shall i get 3 wheel one or 4 wheel one?
This skates vs the Flying eagle F7?
Which are better over all?
Hey I just wanted to ask you how long does it take to break in hey boo I got the next power slides 110 and on the inside of my boot by my ankle when I first got them I have a lot of pain now I’ve been riding for like five hours on them during two weeks. And the pain got less I think the plastic on the boat was digging into my ankle well that eventually go away you got a little better but is that part of the process of breaking in the boot
If I wear a 42 should I downsize to 40-41
Very nice Lino also I wear size 10 and a half us vans ultra cush lite what size should I get of the nexts would be great if you could help 👍👍
Where can I buy the same of your four eight milimetres wheels skates? I did not find It in a frame for four whells
Ricardo I am planning to buy some POWERSLIDE Next 80 Core Black . I have a question about sizing . My feet measure 26cm sharp . all day . I have a bit of a wider foot . can you tell me which size should I get? 40-41 or the 42-43?
Same question here... Mine feet size are 26cm & little wide too. Have you manage get the correct size? How does it feel?
Thank you.
@@lklam85 never. they feel very tight. powerslides are NOT for wide feet.
Good comprehensive review! Two questions: (1) Are these single screw axle? (2) Do you rate these skates in comparison with only other Powerslide skates or with skates of other brands as well?
Yo Ricardo what do you think about the new myfit aerofit for the swell city and road skates 2020
Such a great review
I've got a navy 125 pair and the top cuff has been trimmed 😅
Does it feel very hot since its so closed?
Hello I have a question about
5th Element ST-110 Urban Inline Skates 2019. What do you know about is?
Just got mines today and was not satisfied with the skates speed. What bearings and wheels do you recomend to improve the speed?
Hey I love your channel just wanted to ask you a question I just got the next 110 power slides and on the inner part of my ankle the boot is Digging in and it’s giving me a lot of pain when I first started writing now it’s a little better is that part of the process of breaking in the book will it eventually all go alway ?
Nice video ricardo , what about 100 or 110 i would like to know if you tried that configuration on this skates, and what do you think what can make better the Next skates something like a possitive feedback to improve them? cheers
Very clear. Excellent. How much for the hat?
