This story should be made into a movie. I was freaking hooked. I couldn't stop listening. I was out of work sick, with the worst bout of strep throat ever. I'm 39 and it hits adults harder. I started listening to the first story at 8 am and listened all day. I had to bring my phone charger to the living room to finish. ALL DAY Y'ALL. This is literally the the best story and narration ever.

I felt this way about Borrasca, but more that the "happy ending" was tacked on needlessly. I thought Part 4 was a suitably realistic yet unfair and anticlimactic, whereas Part 5's convolutions to find a happy ending was unneeded. Saying that, though, the whole thing is one of the best horror stories of the last decade either way.

Creepy pastas usually dont scare me, I enjoy them, but very seldom have I actually gotten uncomfortable listening to one, but this and cabin getaway actually sent chills down my spine.

I've been hooked on the "Cabin Getaway" series since the beginning and this seems like the perfect ending to it. Very well written to the author, Felix.
Dark Somnium did amazing with the first part of this. Mr C.P. is awesome to but Dark Somnium makes it like a movie in your ears .
I don't care how many times I listen to Cabin Getaway and Stolen Tongues, I always get chills. I have to go months between listening though. First time I tried to listen to them within two weeks I got so scared I threw up. I absolutely love these two stories, MCP's narration, and the fear it all inspires.

I've listened to this story over and over. Its kept me engaged through multiple listenings, heartbreaks, sick days, depression, house cleanings, and general ennui. It's a mix of great writing, narration, and sound mixing. Its so good. I hope the author and narrator are proud. Thank you for sharing it.

God this is still one of my favorite series/stories to date. Just an outstanding job MCP on the narration and hats all the way off to Felix Blackwell for the story, i still get goosebumps everytime. There are just few stories that get to me everytime like this one does. The Hollow One is just nightmare incarnate man.

If im honest, this story kept me on the edge of my seat and made me just as sad when the ending came as Borrasca did

Really well done and really well-written story. Deserves a movie. One small nitpick - Shoshone is pronounce shu-show-nee. I did appreciate all the vocal effects and use of background noises as well!
I really like this and the previous series. The first series was like Evil Dead or Until Dawn. Now this part of the series is more like Paranormal Activity or the Excorcist.

Thinks its a new story line in general. Realizes its a continuation. Thinks "oh SH!T, oh SH!T" with glee and excitement. Announces to friends "SHUT THE FUCK UP! My stories are on." While smiling preditorily.
But if the cellar was empty, that means the creature stole the tiddy mags. Lol
Imo one of the best stories you read. I thought stolen tongues was great from start to finish. The narration was great, the characters were likable, the plot was realistic enough, and the plot in general was more interesting this time around. I give this a 10 out of 10
A very good series that I've just spent a day listening to. The first half was pure gold, and some of the best horror I've come across in any format. The perfect slow build up and pacing, the atmosphere was very well conveyed. Great work!
Unfortunately this second half felt superfluous after that. It had the same good stuff as the first, but following on from the brilliant climax of "Cabin Getaway" it felt like a step down. The last part of this half just wasn't as good an ending.
Having the ancient eldritch horror get casually banished by a strong woman coming to terms with her childhood trauma was a serious let-down. It horribly overstates the power of human feelings on a cosmic scale. This is supposed to be a horror story- if you can't think of a way to have the protagonists win/survive without resorting to something as twee as that then don't have them win or survive.
I'll be recommending "Cabin Getaway" to people I know as a brilliant piece of work. But I'll also be recommending that they let the cliffhanger there serve as the real ending and don't follow on with this. It has some good moments but ultimately detracts from the series.
(Note that my negativity toward this is directly proportionate to how much I enjoyed things up until the disappointing ending.)

I listened to the 1st "cabin getaway" and streight on to stolen tounges after,brilliant story and conveyed amazingly by such an excelent author!! Your gr8 man, keep em comin. Im probs behind with all the creepy pastas as they only managed to worm there way in to my you tube a year or 2 ago but i have listened to a lot since then and yourself...mr creeps and natures temper are my top 3. Big up to all of you that put the time and effort in needed to entertain us, that in its self is massive so thankyou very very much. Amazing. This might be a couple years old but I still love to listen to MRCreeprPasta. He is one of my top 5 favorite podcasters. There are alot of people out there doing this even right here on CREEPYPASTA. They are truly all different. Some not worth listening to despite the story. He does a great job.
Had a similar message to the bobadook. Sometimes out worst enemies our most terrifying monstors are the pain weve buried instead of letting it go.

This author is amazing the entire time part 1 & 2 just very well thought out and described so well I could picture the entire plot as it unfolded.
