I just dunked that like button into a jar of Nutella, sprinkled it with bacon bits and drenched it in olive oil while wrapping it in a tortilla. Boom! Absolutely loved it, Golden! Can’t wait until we get the chance to hike again. Regards, Rock Solid!
Washington, my home. In fact, I live just an hour and a half from Rainy Pass and have spent many a day in that back country. Mom used work for the USFS out of Early Winters\ Winthrop. Another great vid of yours.
Thanks Ashley. I sobo'd the PCT in 2019, and your video really nails the sobo vibe. It brought back a lot of those great feelings. I sobo'd the CDT last summer and highly recommend. Happy trails! "Toast"
having "sectioned" quite a bit of the PCT, Ya did very good with conveying Your Journey without alot of "fluff" Wonderful "music choices" the way You carry Yourself, have alot of faith in the Younger generation. And it seems I missed X'n paths with Ya by jus' days, was in the Cascades early August ... yep, still quite a bit of snow, but still Beautiful. Happy, successful Journey's to You.
So fun to see the southern journey for once, thank you for sharing your experience. Not having to deal with the Sierra snow or the extreme desert heat is a real plus!
Hello A beautiful video. A wonderful way to live your youth, bringing good memories and experiences that you can never forget and that very few will be able to understand if they have not taken this great trip. Congratulations Cheers 👍
THAT WAS AN OUTSTANDING, AWESOME, AND AMAZING FILM! YES, I'M SHOUTING. I enjoyed it. You seemed to capture the highlights just perfectly. Thanks for putting that together for us.
This was absolutely wonderful in so many ways. Nice to see a southern PCT hike for a change. The story, the scenery, the music was all done to perfection. The young lady was so chill about such a great adventure, challenge and everything that came with it. Thank you for sharing. Hopefully you will do another hike like AT or CDT “backwards” and share it with us. Thank you again
Thanks you for sharing your story with us. I am impressed with your inner peace and calmness. From the very beginning you accepted all that came to you with grace. Sharing in divine love sister.
I really appreciated your approach to this video. not just that you went SOBO but that you also touched on some of the more "unsavory" portions of the hike!
A wonderful video and you are such a charming host. You take the trail so well and seem totally at home. I hiked nobo class of ‘21 and great to be reminded of those amazing views and also to appreciate the sobo perspective
I watch this video right before before I leave for a long hike. Here I am again, watching it prior to my next long hike next week, just to hype myself up. Thanks for making one of my favorite hiking videos that I keep going back to again and again like a little kid watching their favorite Disney movie on VHS until it eventually breaks and the parents have to go out and buy a new one.
That was awesome. I live in bend and occasionally pick up PCTers coming through. I picked up one dude from Canada going SOBO last year and hiked a bit with him near Elk lake. Hikers are moving pretty quick by the time they get to bend. He was just chuggin along at his own pace it was pretty cool. Hope he made it all the way to Mexico haha
Best PCT video I've seen so far, thank you! Very inspirational for me too, as I plan and dream of doing it. I fancy the North to South option 🙂 Your video is not dragged out, with pointless filling - it's just right.
Great video. Well done. I did the tour de mont blanc the wrong way round. It was the best choice I ever made. Hoping to do the PCT when I retire. Thanks for keeping my dream alive.
I've watched this video three times now and have to say that it is my favorite PCT video. The story is compelling. The video composition is excellent as is the music. It relatable because it is about your journey that you are sharing with us the viewer. Other videos spend focus too much on the cool people they hang out with and are sharing the experience with. It is hard to relate to that because I feel like I am just an observer of their good times, not a part of it. Your humility is endearing and ultimately makes the story work. Thank you for your efforts to create such a good story to share with the rest of us.
You're a very impressive young lady. Very much enjoyed your narrative and positive attitude throughout such a challenging undertaking. Followed quite a few northbounders, so it was nice to see it from a different perspective.
Just wonderful. A unique perspective (SOBO) of a PCT thru-hike. Great videography, well-composed, unique soundtrack, and an interesting protagonist combine for an entertaining story. And doing it all in 126 days... you crushed it. Thanks for sharing your hike, Golden.
We very much enjoyed your documentary. Well done, the scenery is magnificent. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. My husband is your moms cousin. Loving your adventureus spirit. Kimberly & Dave w.
Stunning visuals, appropriate music and especially the laid-back mood: Thank you for taking us along on this wonderful journey. Vour video is a very good advertisement for walking SOBO. I know that this is not the whole truth, but you did it with such ease that it seems like a sunday walk in the park 🙃😊. Very cool! For comparison I highly recommend to watch "The long way home" from Titouan Le Roux. With an epic strech over San Jacinto and trough the Sierra. He walked NOBO without skipping sections in 2023, the year with the highest snowpack ever.
Just beautiful. Love the pace and editing and music. Great experience from start to finish. All the NOBOs show the Sierras as snowy and icy messes. Looks like a high desert from your vantage point.
Congratz on your epic journey Ashley and thanks for sharing it with us. Going SOBO on the PCT seems so different than the early NOBOs, still having snow for large stretches from the Sierra's and all the way into OR. Where as u get snow in the desert.
Greetings from Denmark. I was gonna follow you, just because of the name "Todd from Texas" and then you live up to it: Down to earth and good sence of humour. Can't wait to se more.
Oh my gosh this was wonderful! Thank you for sharing this! The music was perfect, didnt detract from the scenery or your narrative. Well done! I also love that you did this “backwards”. Happy New Year everyone! 🥾🥾💙🐾🐾
Bravo! So much packed into a bite sized video. Oct 2nd sounds like a really $/^Tty day😅 congrats for completing this trek and for compiling such a great memoir. The music was exceptional.
Congrats on your journey south! Looked amazing. I’m sure we crossed paths at some point as I met RockSolid on several occasions (where are his videos???). Your video brought back so many memories and emotions! Nicely done.
Great job!!! I loved your video! You really lucked out on the fire closures this year by hiking south. Hope to see more videos from you in the future! Hi from Washington State.
As I have a bee allergy, I'd appreciate knowing the location of the water source at the 10:30 mark, so I can prepare for a long water carry before and after this source. :D
u no, the only other PCT videos iv`e watched is the Blazin Bakers, which is still going on. u may of passed her along the way. iv`e been pretty much an AT watcher since i found these videos. I absolutely loved ur video. massive congratulatins on ur journey. hope 2 c u on the AT someday. BTW, 126 days is kickin some butt.
Great video! Thanks for posting a SOBO video. I hike in the Alps every season and try to do the long trails. I've hike the E5 and from Munich to Venice on the "Dream Way". I totally get the 10000' elevation sign and the "this is why I'm struggling so much".
I've seen so many NOBO videos I can't count. Such a treat to see the journey heading south. Such a wonderful video. Thank you for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it!
May I also say, ditto. You are a class act. Keep on.
I just dunked that like button into a jar of Nutella, sprinkled it with bacon bits and drenched it in olive oil while wrapping it in a tortilla. Boom! Absolutely loved it, Golden! Can’t wait until we get the chance to hike again. Regards, Rock Solid!
Haha thanks! Had a blast hiking with you dude, I'm down for another!
Loved watching you fish rock!!!
That made southbound look like the only way to go!
Thank you for sharing your journey! 17:00 min was iconic btw 😂

Well done
I'm going to recommend this video to everyone!
Great little video, thanks for sharing, and congratulations on your complishment of the pct!!

Wow amazing story. You did with such ease. Wow. Congratulations and thank you for taking us a long.
Great video! I love the SOBO. Great job on doing this, walking it and being strong!
having "sectioned" quite a bit of the PCT, Ya did very good with conveying Your Journey without alot of "fluff" Wonderful "music choices" the way You carry Yourself, have alot of faith in the Younger generation. Wow, you made it look easy. This reminds me of Reese Witherspoon in the movie Wild, based on this exact hike on her own. Congratulations 🤗🤗
THAT WAS AN OUTSTANDING, AWESOME, AND AMAZING FILM! YES, I'M SHOUTING. I enjoyed it. You seemed to capture the highlights just perfectly. Thanks for putting that together for us.

Very nice! I really enjoyed the photography and your candid story telling.
I really appreciated your approach to this video. not just that you went SOBO but that you also touched on some of the more "unsavory" portions of the hike!
Couldn't have it seem too fun :) all part of the experience. Glad you enjoyed it!
A wonderful video and you are such a charming host. You take the trail so well and seem totally at home. I hiked nobo class of ‘21 and great to be reminded of those amazing views and also to appreciate the sobo perspective

Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Congrats on a wonderful adventure.
Thanks for the great video!! Short and beautiful.
No little flags on the southern terminus, they are never there, I wonder why...
Congrats!! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Best PCT video I've seen so far, thank you! Very inspirational for me too, as I plan and dream of doing it. I fancy the North to South option 🙂 Your video is not dragged out, with pointless filling - it's just right.

Great video. Laughed out loud at your extra spicey water from cache 32 water on the Hat Creek rim.
Haha it was a memorable experience for sure.

I thru hiked the PCT in 21 and 22 and was always impressed with the SOBO hikers

I meaan... there is always the other direction!
Nicely done and thanks for sharing - it's nice to have a SOBO perspective. Such a contrast from NOBOs that started in March.
Congrats on your journey south! Looked amazing. I’m sure we crossed paths at some point as I met RockSolid on several occasions (where are his videos???). Your video brought back so many memories and emotions! Nicely done.
