The Arizona Trail - 800 Miles Across the Desert
800 miles through the deserts, forests, and mountains of Arizona stretching from the Mexican border all the way to Utah. Equal parts both rugged and beautiful, 20 minutes isn't nearly enough to do it justice, but I guess it will just have to do. Hope you enjoy.

Backwards - Southbound on the Pacific Crest Trail
Просмотров 51 тыс.Год назад
On July 17th, 2022, I set out to walk from Canada to Mexico along the Pacific Crest Trail. Why? To see if I could I suppose. Here is a look into my experience. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed making it. Music Licensed Through Musicbed Washington - Journey Towards Home - Shawn Williams - Solving Puzzles - Alistar Sung - Singing Like a Bird - Benjamin James Oregon - Oh My My - Summ...
At 8:00. Geez...rattlesnakes in cold weather???? Seeing as there was snow, I'm assuming this hike was done in the late Fall/early Winter.
Thanks Ashley. I sobo'd the PCT in 2019, and your video really nails the sobo vibe. It brought back a lot of those great feelings. I sobo'd the CDT last summer and highly recommend. Happy trails! "Toast"
I walked the road as well. Thanks for stirring up the beautiful memories of this trail. I'll be hiking on the PCT next year. Thanx again heartattack
After the Mad-as-hell mountains it got much easier, I thought. I was able to do 25 mile days finally after doing a lot of 15 mile days.
Did you stop at MJ's in Superior?
Started four days after you. I didn't finish till May 20
Not a lot of desert really very mountainous as I remember it.
Pro tip for fart water , use a carbon filter , it will help a little bit 😅
Thank you for sharing! This is incredible. If you could pick any section (2-3 day trek) that was your favorite, which would it be?
Calories from sugar processed foods, no thank you. Better than nothing, but....
Great video! I love the SOBO. Great job on doing this, walking it and being strong!
nice choice of tunes 4 ur vid girl !!!!!! truly enjoyed it !!!!😊
Ashley, soooo true 😂😊
5:16 wow I see Mica Mtn everyday. Would never imagine it had cowboys up there
just happened to stumble on your great video. How come we didn‘t meet once? I touched the northern terminus on July 15th 2022, and the southern terminus on november 28. we were always within a few days of each other! SOBO rocks!
South bound is sweet.
ive heard ppl say sobo is impossible but that didnt seem that bad
Great video!! I haven't seen a SOBO video before. Almost a different trail. I would seriously like to know how you got the hornets out of your water bottle! Yuk.
Wonderful video. I especially appreciated your soft voice and gentle music. ❤
Great video , just the right amount of narration. What camera did u use?
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Love it! 👋 from Sweden. 🤩
Fabulous video. This one's on the old bucket list.

First post of your's I've seen and very well done! Good to see you are not hiking solo! I've never been to AZ. Thank you for taking us along -- for all of us that will never be able to see these wonderful places. ps that's a big rattler. Bet there are tons of varmits by the water. Best, from Colorado!
Video never does the trail justice. You have to get out there to truly experience it. This did as good a job as you could hope for though. Nice work!
100%. So hard to capture how it really feels
Sweet video! Way to get it done!
Wow! What an amazing trek - Arizona is awesome!
This was great, really well done. I love the AZT and love seeing people enjoying it!
Glad you liked it, such an awesome trail!
This was fun! Where do you get your music from? I love that Sandy Band Aids song from the outro.
This song you can license for example from Musicbed
Had to fit that one in there somewhere haha. I do get all my music from Musicbed.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your journey and filmmaking talents with us.
Wow!! Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. subd & Like 👍54
Appreciate it!
Pssst, the CDT is calling 🚀😎🙃
Ooh I sure hear it 👀
Beautiful scenes. Thank you!
Incredibly proud of you! Can’t wait to watch the next adventure. ❤
Ahh thanks Rochelle!!
Like waiting for a favorite author or director's next release... impressive hiking. Same year as the PCT? Like I said before, looking forward to more vlogs from you.
Haha thank you! Hiked this one this year, so little bit of a gap between it and the PCT.
I watch this video right before before I leave for a long hike. Here I am again, watching it prior to my next long hike next week, just to hype myself up. Thanks for making one of my favorite hiking videos that I keep going back to again and again like a little kid watching their favorite Disney movie on VHS until it eventually breaks and the parents have to go out and buy a new one.
"No more fart water." Words to live by! 😂
As I have a bee allergy, I'd appreciate knowing the location of the water source at the 10:30 mark, so I can prepare for a long water carry before and after this source. :D
I’m headed SOBO this year. You make me want to leave NOW! Great video - thank you for sharing your journey.🙂
Hello A beautiful video. A wonderful way to live your youth, bringing good memories and experiences that you can never forget and that very few will be able to understand if they have not taken this great trip. Congratulations Cheers 👍
Stunning visuals, appropriate music and especially the laid-back mood: Thank you for taking us along on this wonderful journey. Vour video is a very good advertisement for walking SOBO. I know that this is not the whole truth, but you did it with such ease that it seems like a sunday walk in the park 🙃😊. Very cool! For comparison I highly recommend to watch "The long way home" from Titouan Le Roux. With an epic strech over San Jacinto and trough the Sierra. He walked NOBO without skipping sections in 2023, the year with the highest snowpack ever.
I thru hiked the PCT in 21 and 22 and was always impressed with the SOBO hikers
Congrats!!!!! Loved the video!!!!!
Thank you for sharing. Most videos are NOBOs, although last season there were quite a few SNOBOs. Questions: 1. Did you ever discover your purpose for doing it? 2. Why did you choose SOBO? 3. What aspects of the trail did you find to be different from your expectations? Again, thank you for sharing. It was very enjoyable!
Don't know how I haven't seen this gem of a video. It's great seeing it done backwards it's making me, looking forward to my own hike Well done
Great video 👍 can i ask what your start date was?
I've watched this video three times now and have to say that it is my favorite PCT video. The story is compelling. The video composition is excellent as is the music. It relatable because it is about your journey that you are sharing with us the viewer. Other videos spend focus too much on the cool people they hang out with and are sharing the experience with. It is hard to relate to that because I feel like I am just an observer of their good times, not a part of it. Your humility is endearing and ultimately makes the story work. Thank you for your efforts to create such a good story to share with the rest of us.
That's some good hiking and excellent film making . Thank you for sharing
Great job on the hike and in producing an excellent video!
