You can actually heal your spirits. I seen a clip where a guy was healing his wolfs. So there's that. Great upload by the way. Elden Ring will have to climb a massive mountain for me to find that it's better than Bloodborne. Bloodborne is my fave game of all time so a massive mountain Elden Ring will have to climb.
Interesting video. I like your take on a lot of the gameplay here, especially the stealth. Looking forward to seeing how this game feels to play compared to previous souls games.
I think when it comes to the core combat, it feels very much like Dark Souls 3, but Elden Ring gives you way more tools to mess around with like more flexible weapon skills and spirits. I also think the side objectives in the open world will give new players more ways to get used to the game rather than the game just forcing players to face the first boss before anything else.
I hope they take the feature from Nioh 2 where you can make your character’s helmet invisible (but still keep the stats/effects). I also like the spirit aspect a lot now. In Nioh 2 I summon them as distractions & I love how we have that faster, easier option now (iirc some souls games only let you summon NPCs before certain bosses). It was fun letting them tank a ton of the damage lol. I wonder exactly how quick combat is too. Probably gonna be a stealth/magic build, but I wonder how the quickness of combat is compared to something like Sekiro (or Nioh. You can choose to play Nioh like a souls game, getting a couple of hits in & waiting for openings, or like a Ninja Gaiden game, getting off tons of attacks within a couple of seconds. I enjoy this option a lot!). Horse combat looks really smooth! Really excited for this game!
Only I noticed a glitch when we ride the horse very slowly and we turn the camera slowly as well, the horse is shaking? i tried to test on 3 controllers and it's still the same
I think this will be a good one to start with, but if you don't want to spend the full $60 and you see either Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3 on sale, those are also great games to start with. And as a suggestion, don't be afraid to play your first From Software game with a guide if you're having a rough time. That's what I did with Bloodborne and now the Souls/Borne games are among my favorite games of all time.
Love the video, but I do want to ask, how did the new features feel in terms of naturalness? I feel like if I got on the demo I'd just forget about the jump button or ashes of war, as they haven't really had a place in my DS3 playstyle for awhile with WA's being not my most used mechanic from that game.
The jump button was something I started using immediately and it made certain fights much easier. The Ashes of War are also felt much more natural to use because you can assign them to whatever weapon you want, and their abilities are really cool. Much more worthwhile than weapon arts were in DS3.
Yeah, plus with the grappling hook in Sekiro, I meant to say that the jump makes things more convenient than bloodborne and dark souls. Sekiro actually has really convenient traversal.
@@Undeadstalker666 I agree but I feel like it’s only because the traversal is linear. If you compare it elden ring that has much more freedom I think it gets the edge just because you have to account for such a wide amount of area players can potentially go. Though if elden ring is even half as good as sekiro then I’m happy 😁
It’s been a while since I played Sekiro, but I have a feeling I’m not going to hear the end of this. One of my favorite games. Anyhow, thanks for watching.
Honestly, it depends on if you like challenging combat. The bosses in From Software games are no joke, but they are almost always fair and fun if you stick with it. If you'd rather not fork over the full $60, I'd look for either Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3 on sale. If you enjoy either of those games, you'll probably love Elden Ring.
And they added, you know, an entire open world map for you to explore. And spirits. And a horse. And they expanded on weapon skills. And a crouch. And a jump button.

so you can RP a Summoner, I guess. I love it. I make a lot of alts in these types of games.
True I healed my mimic during Malenia with Lords Heal

@@QuestMode thanks dude, sounds like it could encourage new people to try a From game. I’ll get persuading 😊

You’ll call the boss named “Pumpkinhead” in the game “Pumpkinhead?”
Is that really his name? I didn't know 😂
Only I noticed a glitch when we ride the horse very slowly and we turn the camera slowly as well, the horse is shaking? i tried to test on 3 controllers and it's still the same
the hype for this game is growing everyday. never played a from software game before though...

Most thorough hands on I have seen so far.
Thanks!
Glad to see some new content from you!
Great video. I hope you cover Elden Ring a lot 👌🏼
16:20 Dude just got yeeted
Thanks for covering this. I learned some new things.

Best analysis of the game I’ve seen so far 👍🏼
Dude... you can jump in Sekiro. Much better than in Elden Ring I might add.

@@QuestMode I fully agree with you on Dark Souls/Bloodborne. Elden Ring feels much, much better than those two regarding traversal.

Just wish there was swimming. Sekiro had it afterall.
Great video.
Lmaoooo can't believe you included sekiro in the "games that don't have a jump button" xD

@@QuestMode don't worry man fuck it we all make mistakes and the internet is a very critical place shit happens
I've never used weapons art in ds3 wonder how it's gonna work in ER!
I barely used Weapon Arts in DS3. Weapon skills in Elden Ring are MUCH more impactful and fun to experiment with.
good review, thanks.
I want this game.
... No!
I need this game!
While I tend to like Dark Souls, I am hoping Elden Ring makes me fall in love with the genre.
The pvp was rough and I have over 2000 hours in DS3
I really like your videos.
Thanks! Glad you enjoy them 🙏
My hands are itching to play Eldenring!
If I haven’t played souls should I get this it looks great

Nice
This game seems much easier than DS
i just bought sekiro, i cant even get past the drunken mini boss.
Sekiro is tough but it’s an incredible game
watch RUclips tutorials videos that's how I was able to beat him
the game looks so similar to dark souls
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
elden ring nothing more than a open world dark souls
So they basically cranked the brightness up on a regular dark souls game and called it a whole new thing.
What?
What are you blind?
And they added, you know, an entire open world map for you to explore. And spirits. And a horse. And they expanded on weapon skills. And a crouch. And a jump button.
bro are you fried im astounded at the many enemy types alone
@@manimallhi1747 I agree with you this guy is nuts
