Wow thanks! Means a lot! So, I try to keep other sounds that don't appear on camera very minimal, this mostly goes for instruments that I don't have. So in this video, I didn't have a cello, so I used a cello sound on the keyboard. Everything else that you see is the real deal, no miming. Now sometimes I'll make a full band song but then add other instruments that don't appear on camera because it would just be too much going on in the video. For example, I added more off camera instruments for my latest original song video I did to give the song more life. I used a glockenspiel, tambourine, and maracas. Keep in mind those are real instruments too, not keyboard sounds. But basically for all of my songs, I try to keep keyboard and midi stuff very minimal, except for piano and organ sounds. In this video, I'm also playing a keyboard set to a piano sound. Those are my main exceptions. Lastly, sometimes I might flub a small part of a song, so in that case, I go back and correct that small piece. However, those are just very small parts like maybe my singing was flat, or maybe my voice cracked, stuff like that. But everything else is the real deal. Hope this makes sense lol. One more thing just for fun, if you want to see one of my songs were I made a correction on my vocals, watch my cover of She's A Woman. At the end of the song when I'm repeating "She's a woman" my voice started straining very badly and my note was very flat, so I made a quick edit. See if you can tell where I made the edit!
Oh and just one more thing, I usually leave very small mistakes in the songs I record, it makes it more natural and fun. The Beatles used to make mistakes when they played live, even on some of their studio recordings have very small mistakes. Ultimately, those mistakes become part of what makes the song!
@@dreamerjazz352 very cool - I started doing little home recordings recently but it’s definitely within various restraints - talent-wise or gear-wise. I’m hoping to do it for the rest of my life and maybe get closer to where you’re at in a few years. Anyhoo, everything I’ve seen is excellent.
Lol thanks! It's actually quite a majestic instrument. This is the alto recorder, which was the original version of the recorder from the baroque era. There are some amazing recorder players out there. It's just a very inexpensive instrument, so schools use them for the kids. But the recorder is a very challenging instrument just as any.
Impressive cover of a great song. It's one of my favorite songs featuring Brian Jones's genius. To me, the recorder is absolutely brilliant.
great song, excellent cover
The 'invisible' strings playing on guitar is just perfect!
Great, great, great!
Brilliant…just perfect
Perfection 🎹🎤🎸all of it 🍃📯 thank you !
Great cover of a great song, another incredible display of your talents!
Best cover guy out there! Glad to see a Rolling Stones cover!
awesome cover, thank you
You are so talented! I love watching your work!!! 👏
Thank you! ✌😊
Solid...great artistry
Your mick reminds of Steve riks. A compliment despite how you feel about impressions. ^^
Awesome job! One of my favorite stones songs...😊
Very well done!
All your stuff is outrageously good. Do you duplicate much or any on midi or non-keyboard sounds on the keys or is all of it the real instruments?
