The people That I play with are scratching their heads because I get better every day from watching, learning, and implementing the content of your videos.
I love the drill 8 minutes in - one person volleys to the chest, the other rotates between backhand and forehand volleys. Slide and get the spacing with the ball out in front. Excellent drill.
Great video as are all of them! The level of detail mixed with the clarity mixed with the level of knowledge makes these one of the best ones on the internet -- period. I would love to support all the time and effort you put in making and editing them by coming to one of the camps! Keep up the great work!
such a good video!!! is this a crazy question? what if my "at the net" default was towards a forehand with a western grip? the reason i ask is, i have a hard time "going" to forehand quikly but, i can seeminly "move" to backhand more easily. any thoughts? so, i'm error on forehand position with a western grip. something i'm toying with
I think you’re better off keeping the same grip during fast exchanges. Nothing wrong with a full western grip for the FH volley. You can cover more territory with the FH with that grip but it can create an issue on the BH volley. Consider the Riley Newman approach and add a second hand for the BH volley.
Great video, thanks for putting this out! Who was the other player when you got to the game portion of the video? He was quite insightful! I learned a lot from this video thanks again keep flowing
He's talking about how much follow through is used. We are imagining three balls lined up in front of you. For example,, if you are blocking to drop the ball short, you are only hitting the first imaginary ball. If you were try to keep your opponent deep you would hit through the third imaginary ball.
I have viewed many PB channels, yours is by far the best instruction I have found! Great job and thanks!
That mean a lot. Thanks!
Agreed. Ty
