    This is the best channel for pickleball, as expected from one of the best players.

    Great tutorial on offensive dinking with purpose. The beginning calls out what I've been doing wrong - trying too hard and over-swinging with the slice.

    One thing I've noticed in Tyson, Ben, and other top pros is their unit moves. In this shot, Tyosn's upper body including both arms is almost in a locked-in position. This is discipline and basis for consistency

    Love how this also allows you to put a little "mustard"/pace on the ball which REALLY messes w/opponents reaction n decision time.
    Try this when dinking directly across from your opponents and PUSH the ball deep past them down the line...
    They'll quit the game!!
    Peace out,
    Kev-

    I was working on forehand slice push dink before I saw your video. It didn't go well as I was hitting the ball high. I decided to try to hit it in a different way. When I describe it using clock like you I would say I hold my paddle at 45 degree and I started my stroke at 10 o'clock and finished at 4 o'clock so basically I was following through downwards. It took me 2 hours to get comfortable but I felt good towards the end because I was keeping the ball low, closer to the net and I was more consistent. I was excited to work on it again hoping to start where I finished but unfortunately I had to start over and again I didn't feel comfortable until the end of the drill session which is a problem. I cant' just start all over, I need to be consistent if I want to move up. after I watched your video, I decided to give it another chance.

      @@TysonMcGuffinPickleball Don't get so excited Tyson, you would have to see it, it's a nightmare. At this point, it's rather a mental issue because technically I am doing everything right so this will be a very long process. I can easily fix my stroke but not as easily my head.

    Great tips. Will you be doing a vid on top spin dinks?

    On this last segment, getting pulled out wide, you said to reset to the middle. Are you referring to the middle line, the middle of the two players (I realize you aren’t with a partner but if you were), or to the middle of the odd court?

    When do you use the slice push dink over the top spin push dink?

    • @TysonMcGuffinPickleball
      @TysonMcGuffinPickleball  2 года назад

      Trial and error. See where you have a better advantage. If they are slicing you should counterattack spin and use topspin. Use their spin against them.

    Thanks for the lesson Tyson! Are using the power now? Did you use it at Newport? Congrats on Silver with Riley!
