Based on the Citroën Ami, but looks definitely better than the Ami and the Opel Rocks-e.
As much i love the Topolino , it is defintley not worth 2000 extra. Stellantis didn't even give the doored version an roll back sunroof. I think many will find this a bit of a deal breaker.

Another mid week surprise video, we’re not worthy 😉 I’d love a topolino - not sure when they are coming to the UK, between the three models - the topolino is my favourite mainly for the colour❤. I wonder if they will do better accessories like sunroof options which you’ll be able to fit to the Ami 🤞🏻 Another great video 👍🏻

@@MeandMonAmi I think it’s almost identical to the Ami apart from the colour - the opel I’ve seen is a bright yellow instead of the Ami which are orange (although there are also more colour options in the Ami store). I like the topolino seat colour, although I’m not sure how practical white is. I also like the striped pillow thing that goes in the topolino on the dash, not sure if there are trays underneath. I wonder if the luggage rack is an optional extra or just exclusive to the dolce vita version.
I ordered one in Dolcevita Trim, perfect car to use within Monaco indeed. Only problem is that it takes 5 months till delivery.
Oh gosh the Ami was much the same time frame.
@@MeandMonAmi We would have almost ordered an AMI Tonic as delivery was only 6 weeks. I guess they worked on their delivery since you got yours. But we just prefer the open concept for the summer.

Thanks for the look and information. The Dolce Vita has me thinking back to a quick door removable hardware kit, like we visited a while back. The Dolce Vita's rag top opening is a stylish way to open up the roof, but looks to be held closed by some Velcro-style stuff. It seems if an option for some sort of sliding or removable glass roof option on the Ami and Topolino would be a sales-boosting feature.
I do think when you pass your test, a Honda e would suit your channel perfectly. Most importantly, it has bags of character but still small and with a tiny turning circle. Plus it would be a little bigger, has A/C and a shortish range, so you could still do 'will it/won't it' make it videos. Lastly you would only have to change the channel name to 'Me and Mon e'.
I have had my Honda e for 3 years now and I love it, best car I have had in 25 cars and 37 years of driving.
Full licence, but second hand 24kWh leaf has ashp tim, not the same charm as elton but...
Also the Yoyo and silence04 are microcars with ac. I would add microlino but it is too expensive
@@lucius574 I agree that the microlino is too expensive but so is the Honda e ... both are mini EV supercars, just like the Mini Moke was back in the '60s
I would have liked to a see a version with a combustion engine, I would have immediately purchased one because I love the classic 500. Being electric with 45km/h and such little range... never.
The 45 km/h limit is not due to being electric, it's due to regulations: this is not a car, it's a quadricycle with no airbags, abs and so on hence the regulatory enforced speed limit... Also due to the fact you can drive it without a driving licence... There are lots of petrol vehicles in the same category in France and they are all limited to 45 km/h max speed. As for the range, it's just to keep it cheap.

If you need more range you need a different vehicle, and you don't want to spent hours in such vehicle and you definitely don't want to drive it at high way speeds. This is just a great car for in a city, this is not the tool to go to an other city.
And if you like the fiat 500 just buy the fiat 500, that has a range of 200+ km and top speed of around 150 kmh

Must say if one had lots of money would love one of those. Looks so much less utilitarian than the Ami. But 2k for 'style' is a lot. The Dolce Vita would great if you lived in Caribbean but currently town driving would be horrible with traffic fumes. V similar to the Ami Buggy which I actually marginally prefer

The Abarth 500s are super popular in Monaco, kinda like a mini supercar.
I love the look of Fiat and Citroen cars.

In fact, I find the design of the Topolino more modern and refined compared to the AMI; essentially, it's the same car, but over time Fiat managed to add some charming touches to Citroen's original car.

I read seats are actually leather (my S40 Volvo has some cream and comfy leather seats), but as you said, these seats in AMI and probably this one are not so comfy. Hi lads from Spain. I'm with you, it's not worth it. Surprised you didn't go for lunch and see if you could get a discount for going to see the Topolino. You could also have left leaflets with the car advertising your draught excluders.

Glad you survived the rock fall. I think those holes are for fixing the sausage shaped cushion thing on the Dolce Vita version.
That could be right! I think they would provide more ventilation as well though?
@@MeandMonAmiNo, because the ventilation system is hooked up with hoses. The holes are just for the straps that hold the "sausages" to the dash.
Wouldn't it be great to have an in-between version of the Topolino with the normal doors but a canvas folding roof just like the famous convertible version of the Fiat 500?

As for the rockfall - driving up and down from Monaco to Eze on the Moyenne Corniche after heavy rain has been my nightmare for years. I only got hit once. I was lucky.

Great video. USA resident here. Based on the top speed and range this thing is just a glorified golf cart. People use golf carts here (Arizona) as neighbourhood vehicles. I did not see any sun-visors? The headlamps look puny, are they glass or plastic? Can't see this vehicle ever coming to the USA.

My best friends son works in Monaco and lives in cap -dail ( excuse spelling) .maybe not worth the extra cash for you .its very similar to Ami ,but nice colours. Lucky you missed the rock fall , maybe time to buy a lottery ticket ! Before your luck runs out .

They may be to fasten the towel like thing that goes there but they will also let in cold in winter though Mr Boo thinks they don’t go to outside the cab..
@@MeandMonAmi It would be Bad in Scotland, mind you so is the Ami. A Scottish owner gave his Ami a Full Charge in Winter. Half an hour later when he got in and switched it on, the Range was reduced to 37 miles.

I think those holes are for drainage--spilled drinks and condensation off the windscreen.
It may be expensive, but the opening roof of the Dolcevita would solve Elton's problem with the summer heat.

Shame they didn't decide to put the opening roof on both versions of the Topolino. Would much prefer that to the glass roof.

The Fiat version appears to have tinted glass in comparison to the Ami? A bit better in a sunny climate.

re vinyl roof wrap & go pro mount, easiet thing is to leave a small cut out in wrap at your usual go pro anchor point, & ive with a mere 99% shaded roof, but ask a fitter as to how tough it is in this instance, it may not be a reson for concern just our lack of knowledge, maybe ask a biker forum!? ..they pull the g's that would test a mounted cam on a petrol tank or fairing right!? ..if they give it the thumbs up i'm sure elton would be fine, if still a concern match up & glue (neatly) some solid low profile.upvc for the go pro suction mount to be put on, or similarly decorative c
ear acylic ( with a French flag in it) ..uv stabilised so it takes more time to craze in the french heat, make sure the glue has a contact adhesive dissolver that you can use to remove it safely at end of life.

I can see Citroen doing a face-lift to the Ami soon to rival the Fiat for sales ! Either way it's good for the customers 👌stay safe and well and obviously stay charged 🎉

Guys. You may want to look at the Microlino lite Swiss AM bubble car which is being released soon. It seems to address most of the issues highlighted in the Citroen Ami.

No it doesn’t
I've only just noticed that it looks just like the original fiat 500 from the front, I had one painted like a bumble bee, but that's another story

Husband and I have only just arrived in Perpignan France, were we will live. I have admired the Ami and now the Topolino. I'm looking at both, for the ease and affordablilty, but my question is do they require insurance? Or generally how much does it cost for the insurance if needed?
And the husband now wants to know why I don't have a nick name for him, like you have for Mr. Boo.
Yes insurance required. We Pay around €900 a year for both os us. Check out our two year ami review video which may help your decision either way
