You did ruin it. Those wheels are terrible
Real talk. Makes the truck look Corny ass hell
Agreed
Did you not watch the video? took them off
The 35s are fine. Those rims being raw aluminum color are heinous and add to an optical illusion, focusing on the wheel not the tire, making everything look smaller.
I think that could be it too
37’s all day! Those silver things look horrible!!! 👎
35 was not bad, but the rims was not matching the truck
35” seems way more proportional in my eyes, I find 37’s to be too big for my taste. But I was not a fan of that specific colour of wheel though
I for one did like the 35”s on the truck. But it is your truck.
Glad I missed out on that wind issue in my tundra.
Good!
Not feeling the color of the new wheels. The 37s look more proportional especially with that long bed.
Both of the wheels old and new are not looking good
I'm not a fan of the silver rims. It's like the 90's called looking for their rims....LOL
37 look too big for the wheel well. 36 would be perfect. meet you in the middle.
I have 295/r70/18 KO2 on my 22 Tundra and love it. With an Icon Stage 2 kit.
I don't like those rims at all. I like machined rims, but that number of spokes looks sissy. Also, not a fan of 18" rims. I'm not into mall crawler looks. I want functional off road. And for off road you want more rubber not less. Send those rims back.
Also, I'm a negative offset kinda guy myself. But I know we differ on that ;)
Yea for sure we do. I’m good with some poke. Not a lot of it for sure.
I dunno, I kinda like the 35s, but go with the bronze wheels on your 37s??? either way. your tundra looks great!
THANKS!
37s in my opinion. What is the bigger size tire you can put in the tundra without a lift or modifications?
35s should fit a stock wheel
Waiting to see if they fixed the rattle and wind noise before I keep putting money in it. I want to do the tires and bumper as well.
Rattle issue is done and fixed.
Holy crap, those rims are terrible!
Once you have more vehicles to play with, life gets complicated with decision making. I've come to that point, and stopped to reassess what I've accomplished and whether it's at a point of no return, or not.
What’s wrong with a little shine. Dark color wheels make the truck look commercial full of lawn cutting equipment 🫤
Nothing, just the smaller tires
35s look great on there IMO. Also don’t know how much you were on it with that on-ramp acceleration but it visually seemed pretty sluggish with the 37s. Eh either way as long as you’re happy it don’t matter which. Super easy to change so glad you are showing things back to back to help others with modding their own trucks.
Speed never transfers to video at all
37's!!!!
There both HIDEOUS!
maybe bronze 35s. or black TRDs
I think the 35s were just fine and 37s were too aggressive for everyday driving.
living the dream bro! got my tundra 2023 limited and loving your video!
@TRDJon….anymore issues with the rattling and wind noises?
Just the wind noise as mentioned but not the rattles
Thank you Jon. I took my truck to the dealership yesterday. They are having a field technician coming by. I showed them your ‘fixed’ video and they want to do the same thing to my truck. I also told them about the wind noise. In fact yesterday as I was taking the tundra to the dealership I put my fingers between the seals and the window and felt the vibration and wind coming through. The dealership loaned me a Titan, and there were no wind coming through or vibration. That tells me that there is something wrong between the seals and glass.
Your wasting money
No
Perhaps BFG KO3 37s will work when they ship. They wont be true 37s but they will be bigger than true 35s and lighter than the 37s you have now. I run 35s on my 2023 1794 TRD Offroad with the Toyota 3inch TRD lift and I am getting 14.2 mpg on a mix of highway and city driving. So you getting 14+ with 37s is amazing to me. My tires are Yokohama Geolander X-ATs and they are 69-70 lbs a tire. Running Method 318s 18". I am considering the KO3 in 35 or 37. I don't want to chop for tires and I don't want 12 mpg. BTW - You may not be getting the MPG the computer is showing you unless you found a way to re calibrate the Tundra. I was told by my Toyota dealer you cannot reprogram the truck in terms of tire size. So you need to do a manual MPG calc at the pump. Burn off a 1/4 tank. Refil and then calc the mpg.
Thanks. I'll need to look into those then!
You are most welcome!! @TRDJon
Looks horrible.
Didn't keep them
John ! Review the aFe POWER Turbo Inlet Pipe Black plzzzzzzzz
Definitely big person little legs.
Good you give the tundra some love.
37’s look good ✅
If the RPM's stay too low due to too high a gear, it can cost you a torque converter.
Huh?
35” all the way!
37” is TOO MUCH.
It's the color of the rims that throws it off. Chrome shiny does not go with the look. get some silk black.
tbh, I'm kinda over black wheels
@TRDJon Trying new looks, eh? I get it they are everywhere. They may grow on us. 😀
I wish I could unsee those silver wheels on that truck
Keep the 37s. Get 4.30 gears when available
Glad you did not keep them on lol
Easy fix - buy black with ‘37s and lift
35s are fine for the Tundras. Obviously will help with MPG on a daily. Go up to a 305/70 on those RRWs and you'll be good to go...Mayb get a slightly shorter spring in the rear and you're done. BTW, pleasure meeting you at the 4Runner reveal in SD last week man. We all appreciated the chatter. Cheers!
Your so gay if your worried about gas mileages.
Ruined… wheels are absolutely hideous
35s on 17s with a darker wheel
Would look good for sure
37’s look better, ngl.
Is the 4th gen Tacoma and tundra same lug pattern and hub bore size as far as stock wheels, I was looking to put tundra stocks on a 4th gen Tacoma
You will be able to yes
definitely skip leg day
It skipped leg day with 35s lol
My 2024 4Runner has zero issues. 🎉
If you're interested in a set of TRD Premium wheels, I have some. I took them off of my 2024 Tundra TRD Off road SR5. They have 5 miles in them. Pretty sure the lug pattern is the same as your 4 Runner. The wheel/tires are brand new Michelin 265/70/18's. They are the off road LTX/Trail. Let me know. I'll make a good price!
Toyota's aftermarket is off the hook.
37’ for sure.
Not loving the silver gotta be honest
295-70-18 are 34.26 high x 11.61 wide........315-70-18 are 35.36 h x 12.4 w .......may be a better choice than 37.
Looks like it skipped leg day
Those rims should be for a bus!
37’s all day.
I still like stock wheels
35 look terrible
Question, what shop did you used for the mods? I see a florida plate
Yotamafia
Did you see the new 4Runner, Jon?!
That bad boy was leaked!🤣🤣🤣
Those nytop recovery points look good. I’ve been thinking about getting a set for my tundra.
37"
What are those new control arms rated for? They look nice, I know extruded aluminum can crack sometimes
How reliable is this truck with the new engine? Heard there's also many issues with the transmission
35s. The 37s are too big.
You think?
I’d much rather deal with my rattle than a whistle from the windows lol
37’s on the bronze!! Glad you kept them!
If you live in the dirt then 37” tires. For everyday driving on the pavement with some weekend warrior offroad, then 35” tires. Way too many posers running 37” tires for looks. Looks fine with 35” tires and function.
Poser? To what?
37s all the way. But curious, do you think the mpgs would go up if you had the HybridMAX? I know toyota doesn't utilize their hybrid setups on their 4x4 for mpgs but rather power however I'd think the additional power would assist the mpgs... thoughts?
I think it would yes
Can anyone find the part numbers for those tow mirrors?
35s with bronze!
If you were going from stock to those, you would have been stoked. But going from 37s to those, it was a change In the other direction.
I'm trying to find a set up to keep stock tire height with more of an aggressive look, then only do a level. So I won't kill the MPG.
For sure. I agree
Are you going to do another sale with rrw like you did last time ?
The machined wheels looks so good with that color
Nice truck. What’s the total high point for your truck to the antenna. I’m wanting to lift my tundra but I still wanting to park it in my garage
Maybe like 6'10"
One word "hideous".
Thanks
Someone has too much money.
Never too much
Thank God I don't have any wind issues with my 2024 TRD Pro.
Nice!
Unpopular opinion but silver wheels look good
They do pop for sure!
Dave ramsey would like to have a word with you 😂
Nah, I’m good.
You Navy, Airforce veteran?
Air Force
Not understanding silver wheels on color match truck. Bronze would look good…
ended up keeping the bronze
Is the new tundra pro worth the money?
Eh. I’d buy a platinum over it for features. But for resale it’s good
I thought you had the wind issue fixed?
the issue was never wind, it was the rattle
You’re gonna love it when those heims inevitably start making noise lol
They shouldn't
@@TRDJon Any metal on metal joint will make sound at some point. It's why many people recommend ball joints vs uniball in the UCA for a daily driver, same goes for heims vs bushings. Race joints are stronger, and flex better at the expense of making sounds. Google heim joint sound and you will find 100 forum posts about it. Not hating, just letting you know since you are sensitive to sounds.
37~39 for the Tundra
39??? wild
37” BFG is the answer (smaller 37)
So not a 37, lol
Don’t understand with RUclipsrs going to silver or chrome wheels. Black wheels look the best.
I seen a couple other, RUclips influencers going to chrome/silver wheels. Hope we don’t go backwards.
Turning that way, they are making a comeback I feel
Haha I got satin gray, they look great, I think the black is getting played out
Toyota already ruined your tundra with those turbos. Just like your 4th gen "tacoma".
Just like how they ruined the 2jz with twin turbos. Just despicable😖
I don’t think you guys understand that it’s not Toyota. It’s the government. Toyota sees how emissions standards are going so they are choosing to adapt now instead of waiting. Even Dodge, the company most known for the HEMI V 8 is going down the route of turbo 6 cylinder.
Boomer comment 😂
I had no problem from the dig against other pickup trucks 😂
@TRD JON - Remember when I said how can a new unproven design in the Tacoma be better than a proven reliable previous Tacoma? You probably looked at me like I was crazy yet the new "supposedly" better Tacoma are already having issues and even in other bigger truck channels their brand new Tacoma have already broken down. The same goes for the new V6 turbo Tundras, Toyota should have kept the V8, they're far superior in everything but gas mileage but I'd rather spend a few extra on gas than thousands extra on mechanic repairs. Toyota is the top reliable brand but with all these new crappy turbos coming out soon Toyota is gonna lose that title to Honda and the others. I bet you're looking at me like I'm crazy again, lol!
Time for you to try out Jeep Gladiator
I'm good
