JBL660 NC Headphones are as good as headphones costing over $300. I have tried most of the more expensive brands, some in the $300-$600 range. The sound quality of JBL is fantastic and sounds better than some much more expensive cans. JBL is wonderful for ambient, atmospheric, oldies, classic rock, soft rock, Motown, and classical music. They are great for travel. If you want to save money, buy these. You won't be disappointed.

Just a word of advice to anyone thinking about buying these headphones. I bought these today and returned them after using them for 2 hours. The anc is extremely sub-par in blocking sound and it creates these suction/pressure that feels uncomfortable. Secondly, I have no idea who these headphones were made in mind, like I have a small head and even for me they were clamping my head and causing discomfort so much that after an hour I had to take them off. The earcups themselves are quite hard and don't feel good at all. And to top things off, the sound quality? Very bass heavy, I mean I guess if you're into that, but I much prefer a neutral sound. For the same price I'd much recommend the sony wh-h910n, literally better in every single way (except smaller battery). I ended just shelling out for the sony xm4's (worth every single penny in my opinion, these replaced my broken wh-h910n's). All I can say, do not buy these jbl's (at least not for full price).
@@Anon-21j The sony's are more of a neutral sound profile, these jbl's and actually jbl headphones in general seem to have pronounced bass. I've had another pair of jbl headphones and in-ear, and they both have that 'iconic' heavy bass.
Is anyone experiencing rumbling when you have max volume and bass hits ? On reddit many people are talking about it but on youtube no one is mentioning that. It buzzes and rumbles when the earcups are not placed right and it is very weird

Got this as a present a week ago, but it hurts my ears with the foam while using.. my cheap amazon earphones from before didn't hurt that much. Do you have any tips? Am I doing sth wrong? I really don't want to change the gift. Btw. great review!!
As a JBL brand enthusiasts these did not reach my expectations tbh. If you've ever heard their big portable speakers or car audio systems , these won't impress you. The sound quality was fair, the midrange sounded very crisp but it lacks high frequency and most importantly bass quality and loudness. I tested them on phone, laptop and studio controller interface. It's a shame bc the AKG earphones that came with my samsung phone retail for 99$ and in my opinion sounded way better.
Hello! Thanks a lot for your review! Do you have any comparation between these and the JBL Live 650 BTNC, about the active noise cancelation and voice calls performance??
i have the 650 btnc and those are absolutely shiit. anyone who has em agree and the reason for that is when you have the noise cancellation on they need to sit bang on perfect to sound good witch is so tricky and if not they sound shit turn the nc off and they sound weak! but once they sit perfect they bass really sounds good👌 so i to wanna know if these have been upgraded on that part if not.. not interested
I have them (JBL 650...) as well and I find that the headband get very loose over time. So they tend to slide off my head if I go to piece something up from the ground.
I use my jbl 650 every day in the gym and they fit perfect for me. I got them around 2 years now but they begin to stink to sweat. I’m really in doubt if I want to buy the 650 again or the 660. I’m not sure if the 660 is really better? Is the sound better? also in doubt for the bose 35 serie.
These def aren't bad. I also compared these to Sony XM4's. The only major difference is the XM4 earcup pressure is much less, yet somehow have better sealing around the ear, and as a result, have slightly better constant frequency noise mitigation/isolation. IF the 660s could seal better (without so much side pressure, ugh), they'd be a bit more comparable. However, the XM4s sometimes gave me weird vertigo sensations, maybe due to the pressure changing from the noise cancellation? I'm not sure. I got a headache the first day wearing the XM4s (coincidentally, wasn't sure if it was the headphones) and thought it was a fluke, but I did notice a slight difference between the XM4s and 660s with the pressure sensation. Then again, the 660s kinda did too with how much pressure they put around your ears. All I know is, I stuck with the 660s for $70 on sale, vs the $260 I paid for the XM4s.
I had Sennheisers 569 (would recommend for playstation gaming and music mixing, most comfy headphones on the market for longtime wear). The bass is not heavy in the Sennheisers, wired with mic, no ANC... BUT they got perfect pitch and flat curve. This is great if you for example play many different games and need to hear the details. Perfect for footsteps in first person shooters, the 3D projection works great with these. Also only 18 ohms, so they are very good to the battery of the hand controller. But if one is "heavy bass lover", the 569s are not for you. I also have the 760 NC and 660 NC. I have not tried the XM4s but have tried XM3s and they had too much descant for me and does not feel as open as the 660 NCs. To me Bose 300$ can't even compete with the 760 NC because Bose middles are crap in my opinion. Also; Their base is not even sharp, just boomy. I would say the 660 NCs sound like a child of Sennheiser 569 and B&O Beoplay highend-class. If you like good middles without über boosted bass and without too sharp treble, JBL 660NC is a great buy. The 760s NCs sounds like the sennheiser 569s but a bit less open and slightly more equalized. Far from as comfy as the 569s (but as I said earlier, sennheiser are in a class by themselves in regard to that). I recommend the 660 NC over the 760 NC. The sound is more open and the build details feels more premium. Like the headband and the wire. 660 NC also have the Alexa built-in and OK google thing if one want to use that. Anyway. What one prefer is individual. We all have different ears, so find your groupe of brands that fit your hearing. Go to a shop and listen to different headphones before you buy.
@@newtoniantime8804 Nice! Appreciate your experiences! I agree, everyone should try a pair before they buy. Or at least make sure they have a good return policy.

- In the first 2 weeks of using NC you will feel like the headphones are putting pressure on your eardrums, making your head hurt. This side effect is temporary and goes away when your ears get used to it.

so about the cushion tearing part... i have the 650 btnc and those are absolutely shiit. anyone who has em agree and the reason for that is when you have the noise cancellation on they need to sit bang on perfect to sound good witch is so tricky and if not they sound shit turn the nc off and they sound weak! but once they sit perfect they bass really sounds good👌 so i to wanna know if these have been upgraded on that part if not.. not interested
I have them (JBL 650...) as well and I find that the headband get very loose over time. So they tend to slide off my head if I go to piece something up from the ground.
@@Yellowbird-12 same here, and the sound quality just average imo.. wanted to upgrade to the Sony xm 4
My JBL650 BTNC noise cancellation keeps turning on and off repeatedly on its own. cant even enjoy using it anymore. Anybody know how to fix this?
What could you recommend me to buy? JBL Live 660NC or Philips TAH8506?
Yeah . Great everything fine. But can you connect this to a smart T.V. ? Like gaming is not the only activity people have.
I also love that you can use an Aux cable to pipe other external audio into the 660NC and still have ANC work. One of my favorite features
Definitely so cool! 😲
Yeah man! Very cool hehe
@@sabiopervertido7704 igual sonaban mal
@Sean, what is your impression when using this with eyeglasses?
I got my pair today, I’m facing a problem though.. whenever I use the wire instead of Bluetooth all the buttons on the headphones ceases to work.. does anyone know why?
Cuz it's not turned on when using wire
I can't decide if I wanna buy them or the new Sony xm4 .. obviously the price tag is very different but is it different in other things such as the ANC, the sound ( especially Bass), call quality and so on ??
which one did u get i have the same problem too rn?
@@truuiv which one did you get I have this issue now lol
@@joshtheepicone2076 Which ones did you guys get? Ive got the same problem lol..
Any updates yet? Same issue here 😅
I'd say if ANC is the most important to you get the XM4s, if you don't care about it too much and have a tighter budget get these
Hi are actually serious that these are comparable with the sony M4?
Hearing this on Live 660nc
How is it my friend? Loving it? 😊
How are they so far ?
Hello. I have a question: Is it possible to use the microphone when only the audio cable is connected? Many thanks.
Yes you can I’ve did it before .
Same question, used to have some old skullcandy model to be connected to my PS4 controller and have audio y mic. Now I got these model but my PS4 doesn’t find any mic. Can somebody help me out? Thanks
Looking into these😎would these be better than my JBL E50 BT
Something rattles whenever I move it around in the right side is that normal?
Did you say you cant use the NC while the Aux is plugged in ?
Skrg ini jbl suda sama harga dgn sony xb910n... Antara dua model ni mana lagi baik dari segi sound kualiti ya?? Sy suka soundstage yg luas dan bass yg padu
Who else is watching this with the headphones on
what would you get (aside the price) these headphones or the bose qc35ii
Well you can buy 3 pair of JBLs for the price of Bose ... pretty easy decision
JBL tune 760 NC vs JBL live 660 NC which is better?
I was asking myself the same thing but now I think that 660nc are better because of possibility of connecting to mobile app and the materials used for earcups. I had a chance of trying the 760nc and they felt like they would be uncomfortable for longer uses.
660nc is mine go to.
just bought these for 99bucks, first time ever buying tech first and checking reviews later. 😅
Can I attach aux cable in jbl 760 nc and use the inbuilt mic of the headset ??? Please answer this asap 🙏
I think JBL Tour One rivals more to the xm4 & 5
How to I get the play/pause feature to work?
I remove headphones from my head but the music doesn't stop playing
Will other people be able to hear my music from the outside ?
How to clean fabric like material on these headphones?
