very good ! I have a nux solid studio, what is the cable connection, interface and amp to do this capture of the iR? this sound emitted when capturing the iR is very high in volume, not at risk of damaging the speaker and amp? between mooer radar and nux solid studio which is better? thanks bro congrats!
leandregomes thanks for the kind words. It was a simple setup really. Just went from an orange micro terror head to an axetrak iso cab to a presonus Audio io. Haven’t tried the Mooer piece so I’m not able to advise there. I will say that this one has a lot of great features as does the Hotone Binary Cab.
Is it true that when you use the amp effect you can't use the cab & mic sims at the same time, as they become disengaged from it even with them both turned on?
David thanks for the question. Honestly I think the capture is pretty spot on. However I must stress that this video is a brief demo as to how it can be accomplished. It takes a bit of work to get the levels and mix placement just right. Practice makes perfect.
Thank you for the kind reply. How would you compare this device to the Mooer Radar or the Hotone Cab Sim in terms of "faithfulness" to what they are maketing?
David thank you for your question. Haven’t tried the Mooer as we’ve chosen to not carry those currently. I hear good things but haven’t tried it. The Binary Cab is a bit of a different beast as it can’t capture IR’s but you can load 3rd party IR’s into it via the Binary Editor. Additionally the Binary Cab has a much wider range of cabs to choose from which gives it a remarkable advantage.
Hi, great demo. I have the pedal but i still can't figure out how to load 3rd party IRs, do you know how is that done? This is something that i see advertised everywhere for this pedal.
Filipe Marinheiro thanks for the kind words. NuX is currently developing a 3rd party IR loader. I imagine that it will be out before the end of the summer.
@@mattgilbert7347 load 3rd party ir? i had this pedal since 2019, and i can load 3rd party ir into this pedal. but i had to upgrade it first. there are 3 simple pdf guides on their website. one of them is for upgrade this pedal. i had upgraded this pedal twice since i had it. please note that any 3rd party ir will be erased when you upgrade it. btw you should upgrade it first before you can use their editor to load 3rd party ir into this pedal or to save existing ir. note: some of 3rd party ir had higher "resolution" (i dont remember what is called) so maybe you should convert it to lower res that this pedal can accept. simply try to load it first into this pedal using tbeir editor, if cannot then convert it to the lower res and try load it again into this pedal. it works for me

Hi! I have a question. Does this pedal need a preamp pedal to play Live and go direct?
No. For best results I would use a preamp like pedal such as a nice gentle overdrive

No. It is a Power Amp Simulator and IR Loader.

I don't have a mic pre amp. Can I capture the sound of my 1x8 fender champ?
Jim B you could try with a dynamic mic
how faithful is the capture? Honestly?
