  • A’ja Wilson. 2x WNBA All-Star. 2018 WNBA Rookie of the Year. NCAA Champion in 2017. NCAA Most Outstanding Player 2017. Consensus National Player of the Year in 2018. 3x Consensus first-team All-American. 3x SEC Player of the Year. 4x First-team All-SEC. THE All-Time leading scorer and shot blocker in South Carolina women’s basketball history. FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Gold Medalist (Spain 2018).
Not even 10 games into her professional career, A'ja already made history: she became second rookie to tally 35 points and 10 rebounds in a game, joining Candace Parker. That set the stage for an outstanding first year that culminated in her being selected UNANIMOUSLY as the WNBA Rookie of the Year. She finished averaging 20.7 points per game, making her only the second rookie in the history of the league to average 20.0 or more per game since Seimone Augustus in 2006 (at 21.9 points per game).
She followed up that sensational first season with a solid second season. She helped her Las Vegas Aces, also in their second season, to a conference finals berth. They did end up losing to the eventual champion Washington Mystics but considering they didn't make the playoffs in year one speaks a lot to how big a leap they made.
Wilson is a Wubble All-WNBA First team favorite and it’s not hard to see why. She’s got fantastic footwork, her post game is pristine, when she faces up, it dizzies defenders, she’ll punish you if you bite on the pump fake, and most of all, she’s left handed, which means that no matter what the defense does, she’s getting to her left.
Defensively, she’s definitely just as devastating. Her energy is infectious and she plays the game with such passion and emotion that you can’t help but root for her, even if you are a fan of the other team. She exerts her influence both on AND off the court. She’s already a proficient podcaster (link below), and her piece in The Players’ Tribune (www.theplayers...) is POWERFUL.
Basically, she’s an absolute badass who you should already know about - but in case you didn’t, here’s a 9 minute video showing just a little bit of what she can do offensively.

A’ja’s jump shot is so formulaic..almost robotic and in the BEST way because of how good it is each time! Like she’s perfected it so well.
    It’s superb!

Sue Bird and Jordin Canada of the Seattle Storm. Anyone on the Storm.
Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smith of the Phoenix Mercury.
Chelsea Gray of the LA Sparks.
Kayla McBride and of the Las Vegas Aces.
Crystal Dangerfield of the Minnesota Lynx.
Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings.
Courtney Vandersloot of the Chicago Sky: ruclips.net/video/JnSp73mEsK0/видео.html
Players who aren't in the Wubble:
Natasha Cloud of the Washington Mystics.
Kelsey Plum of the Las Vegas Aces.
Kristi Tolliver of the LA Sparks.
Those are all them off the top of my head. No forwards because that would expand the list greatly, but check them out first.

Wish they had Liz Cambage this year, they remind me a lot of the twin towers experiment with AD and Boogie in New Orleans. Thanks again Evin.

I think they would've built off of what was a great first year together but we get solo A'ja this season. That chemistry with Dearica is continuing to come along nicely!
Here's my Liz Cambage video from Sep of 2019 if you haven't already checked it out: ruclips.net/video/y6w3rswUYfw/видео.html
