I was blown away at how much the Wii U once modded is the ultimate “Nintendo” retro console for just about everything that came before. It’s a bonus all the unique controllers like the bongos work great with the SB adapter. I ended up modding 2 and keeping one stock for now and the kids have been playing it as much as the newer consoles during the pandemic.

I’d assume yes unless the pad has issues, if your using the adapter and it’s giving problems might be the unit, but if it overall has some functionality then try getting another to see if it does the same thing. Bongos for the conga games work great. Some third party controllers no problems either.

You have to inject the games into the Wii U. There’s another video out here in RUclips, although that seems a bit difficult, not to mention that you will need to buy a game from the market store to serve as your game sacrifice.

Yes you will need Tiramusu for the Wii U to in order to add the Homebrew Channel to your vWii. There's a very large process on it but I may be able to find some videos if u still need help with this.
Pretty much all Gamecube games run well on Nintendont, simply because the WiiU, Wii and Gamecube are all the same type of architecture. So basically the gamecube hardware is inside the WiiU you just can't access it normally
How did you get a game cube game on your computer? Was it a rom u downloaded? Also do you have a video showing how to soft mod the virtual Wii on jailbrole wiiu?

I've installed the Gamecube games to my WiiU homescreen vs going through vWii Nintendont. Do you know how to change the Nintendont config for the Gamecube games that I've installed too the WiiU homescreen?
@@boop53 I used TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector to prep the iso to be WiiU Front page homescreen apps and set the config files there including enabling the memory card, which you have to do in order to save. Trouble is I want to change the config files again....I'm not sure how to load Nintendont on the WiiU side to update the config files, if that's even how you do it...?
I know this is an old video but I'm still hoping I can get some support. I had bought the Adapter in the video, but it has yet to work in any meaningful way on the Wii U. It works for Switch and seemingly PC, but not in Nintendont. I've even tried creating my own controller.ini file for it and that has only shown minor results. Anything I'm missing?
Then emulate and upscale them on your PC or Xbox. 480p is the resolution Gamecube games were made at. You have to have reasonable expectations, it's not going to made a 20 year old game suddenly HD. Remember this isn't emulation, it runs on native hardware so it's practically identical to how it was on the actual Gamecube.
Hey man I used all of your tutorials to play some GameCube games on the vwii and I’m basically at the last step. The problem is that I can’t seem to get the GameCube controller to work on Nintendont. I believe I saw that some third party GameCube controller adapters will not work with Nintendont, which could be the case and wanted to know if you thought so too. The GameCube adapter I have right now is from the brand pdobq. Also if it is because it is third party, will the adapter listed under the video’s description work then? Thank you for your help!
Ran into this issue too. As far as I understand, the official adapter works for sure but it’s expensive now on eBay and elsewhere. I found success using the Mayflash one on Amazon. Much cheaper as well
@@FCTP I ran into an interesting problem. I didn’t buy the mayflash adapter, but I also read that it’s supposed to work with ps4 remotes. I couldn’t get that to work either. It makes me believe there might be something wrong with my Wii U but idk. Do you have any clue?
@@FCTP oh and by mayflash adapter are you talking about the adapter that goes on the wii remote and allows it to connect to the GameCube? Or the adapter that has the two usb that allows for four controllers?
@@jhonnygonzalez2327 The latter - the one with the two usb/4 controller ports.This one runs smoothly. I actually have the other mayflash adapters you're referring to as well -- These don't work reliably though with Nintendont. There are button mapping issues/general lag.

Question, if you have a giant hdd plugged in that’s formatted for the Wii u, i.e. when you turn on the system with it plugged in, the Wii u formats it making it unable to plugin to pc. Would you be able to transfer files from the SD card to the HDD so you can store the GameCube games and Wii u games on the same drive?
@@nunooliveira1628 You need to have 2 separate external Hard Drives. I'd recommend a smaller one for your wii u games. Can't imagine you'd need more than 1tb. I'd use a 2 tb external hard drive for your wii games. The wii u can't read anything over 2 tb. So before you turn it on, either plug in the wii hard drive or the wii u hard drive depending on what you want to play, but don't have them both plugged in at the same time

I followed your Tiramisu guide, but struggle now with this guide. It won't display me the Wii homebrew channel But i noticed, the app structure look different. After follow the tiramisu guide, i don't have an "apps" folder in the sd root directory , its in SD/wiiu/apps I tried to create a new app folder in the root folder and copy the files into the old one, but it doesnt work :( help plesse, wasted so much time on it already

Yes, as long you are using USB Loader GX to play your GameCube backups
By installing GC games this way, they won't count for the 300 blocks for the Wii U limits??

I found out when trying to play Paper Mario TTYD, if you have that classic controller plug-in that came with the Wii for the wiimote, it picks that up

You can. When you launch Nintendont, just press A on your pro controller and it should pair on up. I do this all the time with mine
