I’m a new white belt and had my 4th class and 3rd sparring session last night, I pulled this off on a four stripe white belt and tapped him with the darce. Pretty happy, only the second submission I’ve pulled off so far :). Thanks Brian

I am an older purple belt and I've always had a hard time getting out of bottom side control using classic jiu jitsu techniques. After watching your ghost/phantom escape videos and rehearsing it in my head for a week, I'm happy to report that I was able to pull it off on all of my training partners last night. Not only that, I was also able to hit the wedding sweep on two of them. Your channel is a game changer. I had a huge smile on my face driving home from training last night. Thank you 🙏

Been using the ghost escape to darce or front headlock come up since 2009. It's my #1 side control escape and it has been for years and years. This has been a hardcore area of focus for me and I still saw some gems in here I've never seen anywhere before. Your video just showed up as a suggestion in my feed. Ahhh cool fellow Rear bandits haha. I find the Darce finish risk-kay. Ive gotten it on people on higher levels than me, and tons of lower belts, but often guys can posture or jump over. No im trying to master getting to the front headlock and then work anaconda/darce/farmaconda/arm in guillotine or back take.

Every week when I go to roll at open mat I execute my game and almost always as I roll with different guys and higher belts I get to point where I just get stuck and I don’t know any techniques to get out. My go to is your channel to find solutions . This has been one of those “go tos” for me. And there’s many more I learned from your channel. Thanks for making this difficult journey a little easier on this grappler.

nice demo I;ve been teaching this to my blue belts for the past 10 years. if you want to advice that some, the first thing you do when in 1/2 guard is go on your inside hip facing your the guy on top immediately, you should never be flat on your back in 1/2 guard, then using your bottom leg hook his outside leg then your 50/50, from there is all yours , but again, nice demo

The ghost is one of my favorite escapes. The problem with it though is that a more experienced opponent or a big guy with a belly (lol) will make it difficult. A good opponent will feel that hand come through and switch their hips and pin that hand and control it in a kesa gatame.
Your counter to that is pure gold.

I've recently discovered ole Coach Brian, and I can say that I've never enjoyed watching BJJ video's as much as I enjoy his videos! I've been a BJJ guy since 96, and this guy has such a knack that he has something for old farts who've been doing this for a minute.
Well worth the time! First time I've ever considered doing a Patreon thing!
