I’ve been a tech for over 30 years. Pretty much did the same things to my Brute force …. Got rid of janky snorkels and redid the winch wiring. Plus tons of of things as you had to do as well. You did a very nice job on this. Loved your video.
FYI the roof material is a specialty item developed for marine applications, such as cabinets and deck mods on sail boats, and it comes in a variety of colors. Awesome comment Vince! I went to snowmobile forums during this project because it was my first go around working on a CVT and that community helped me out a lot. Thank you for watching!
You're making a great makeover you made the right call with the clutch. And with the shock you put the ratchet strap in it with sitting on the ground around the spring and then jack it up and it's relaxed falls right out

This thing is sick!! Wish I had one!! All the old school bikes and quads I rode that you rebuilt though!!! You reminded me of me with the wiring! People don't understand chafing and corrosion like us!! I work on big rigs and it's a big problem on them!!
I know you got the clutches off with the grease truck (a good trick) but another helpful tip to get those off is to put a good amount of tension on the clutch puller and give it a firm tap with a mini sledge. About 90 percent of the time they pop right off. The weird idle is from running it without the primary clutch on there, that is normal. The primary clutches do make some chatter noise even if they aren't sacked out like that one. Once the covers are all on you won't here it too much with the new clutches. Plus snorkels amplify the chatter noise alot. Love the videos by the way 👍👍
Just found your channel. Love the content. If you haven’t ever tried using mineral spirits to remove adhesive, I highly recommend it. I’ve never found anything that works as good.
you lucked out on that beadlock bolt lol. good job. You make me want to get a OG maverick now. we need to take that for a ride on some good trails in PA brother. i just dumped several grand in my X3 and im itching to try it out.
When using a clutch puller to remove the primary clutch, pump a few shots of grease into the puller hole prior to inserting the tool and the hydraulic pressure that is created when you tighten the puller pops the clutch off with minimal effort.
So i just caught this vid by suprise. I really like the maverick model. Im 62 and would consider this a search and rescue vehicle for me.
