One thing I loved about early 2000s CN was how they went above and beyond to give you the illusion that these characters were real and hanging out Roger Rabbit style in some studio
They had basically done the unthinkable, recreated the old hanna-barbera universe that had dominated cartoons for so long, except... yknow, not so crummy. but of course that had to all be tossed out on its rear. out with the old, in with the terrible.
I also REALLY loved that they were used as a way to keep the canceled shows somewhat alive. Even if their series had ended, they carried on in reruns and were still an integral part of the network's branding and identity.

I use to get so excited and have such a homey feeling when JBVO was on and Johnny was sitting there talking to us. To me, it was like it was his thing and he was made for it. More than it was his thing trying picking up women. Haha.

Just so you know, Nickelodeon's broadcast of Kai had blue Popo too but everyone blames it on 4kids (though because the CW isn't a cable network, there was a lot more censorship than the Nickelodeon broadcast). Lots of misblame goes to 4kids really. I don't care much for 4kids myself but it really always got more hate than it actually deserved. It's the same with how I hate Crunchyroll as a group of people, let alone a corporation but I have to keep pointing out how people blame Crunchyroll for localization BSery when CR only really has control over their originals and the distributors are usually the ones to blame (when it comes to name changes in Jojo's, that one's usually Viz's fault. Not that Warner Japan hasn't made some censorship changes to the subtitled releases which seem to be used for the English (and probably other western languages) dubbed releases and broadcasts).
