This is the best My Way AI cover. Every detail of it fits perfectly on terms other covers do. Squidward is there with his flaws made by the AI, highlighting his flawed character of being a pessimist, but the tone is proud and unabashedly talented. His true talent, singing. It’s something out of an alternate timeline, where Band Geeks was the second best, or the predecessor, hell probably never made at all. Another thing is the screenshot. It’s just another proud squidward.png you may think but no, it’s taken from Season 1. The prime of SpongeBob, highlighting even more of this amazing cover. Next, My Way is the most squidward song that Mr. Sinatra has produced, it’s his song. His success. But also, in a way, his downfall. As he knows that this successful cover will eventually lead to slow decline, as much other artists do. Or as a SpongeBob episode does, He eventually screws it up for Squid or the continuity restarts. This was his choice, his way.
There's a genuine raw beauty to Squidward imperfect voice but earnest and passionate delivery, it almost mirrors his characters as someone who tries really hard and maybe has the technical aspect down but lacks the creative spark but doesn't give up and puts his best effort.
I was able to witness this performed live on the ai SpongeBob stream this evening, what an absolute pleasure it was to witness such a beautiful performance.
@@yummylesecondYeah, It’s a very new feature to the stream where characters can sing entire songs if prompted. And, well, Squidward sang this song (pretty much sounded just like this).

"I loved. I've laughed and cried. I've had my fill. My share of losing. And now as tears subside, I find it all so amusing" Hearing Squidward sing that is incredibly surreal.

If not himself, then he has naught To say the things he truly feels And not the words of one who kneels The record shows I took the blows And did it my way
I’m so glad he made it! I felt so bad for him when he worked at the crusty crab. I knew he had potential and his extensive music career is proof. So sad to hear he’s retiring.
This is genuinely the best song I've ever heard, encapsulating Squidward's voice and personality entirely. If Squidward were an artist, and this song were released by him, we wouldn't even remember Frank Sinatra.
I actually wish it did sound more off. It's frightening how much AI is already starting to impact the media landscape. I'm impressed with how good it sounds, but at the same time it's a worrisome sign for the future.
@@xXRickTrolledXx it shouldn’t be too haunting. This isn’t an organic recording (like voice synthesis), instead it is literally sinatras voice but with a squidward filter. The “gentle cracks” and “pain in his voice” are the remnants of Sinatra. This AI is crazy impressive, but we can’t create fully organic recordings that sound *this* good - yet.
@@biggusdickus1689 it depends. For something like this, to really get the emotion, you would use a human recording. In this case it’s a song so quality matters, so it makes sense to use Sinatra’s original voice. However, the need for dubbing is slowly dwindling as AI voice synthesis develops. Current AI voice models are very good and crazy impressive, but they are still rather dull and speak unrealistically, not to mention they are still prone to mistakes. There are many examples of this, like the Presidents playing video games meme and the AI Joe Rogan podcast to name a few. But to answer your question, as of today, dubbing is very common, especially when clarity and quality needs to be preserved.
@@palopatrol6010 Don't mistake, I know its a voice modulation software, and that it didn't organically make the singing from scratch. The imperfections of the software made it sound a way that reminded me of that is all.
This was the last piece ever sung and the last skit ever done by the squidward ai on ai sponge today before the guy who makes the ai was shadowbanned… as someone who was depressed, coming across ai~sponge, a pure unadulterated uncensored version of my childhood show, made me smile and laugh for the first time in months. Today, the day it all ended, was so cinematic that it eclipsed any Hollywood movie I’ve ever seen. Im genuinely crying right now. F to pay respects to ai sponge and especially Squidward, or as many know this version of him as, *Loudward* o7
Patrick: If they dont allow you to play clarinet at the orchestra, maybe try it another way? Squidward: But how?!... Spongebob: Your way, Squidward! Your own way.
It's honestly eerie how sophisticated AI has got. I still remember two or three years ago when ai voices still sounded very unnatural and now all of a sudden we have ai capable of singing in a seamless manner! Wow... just wow.
It’s not as impressive as you think. Basically they isolate the vocals from a song and put it through a AI voice filter that’s been fed audio samples for that character. It’s like what you can do on TikTok but slightly more sophisticated
@@qwerty81808 It's not the same at all. I remember crusty sounding AI 2-3 years ago (such as OpenAI Jukebox) didn't get help, but these videos rely heavily on a pre-existing voice sample, like Frank Sinatra's acapella. Vocal AI has improved, just not as much as language or image models have.
The thing that makes this so good, in addition to the technical execution (which is great), is that this song *means something* sung in Squidward’s voice.
Someone should make this into an emotional squidward animation music video where he's in a concert singing as he finally found his true passion being realized in a different way
Why does this fit so well with his character and how much hope I kinda had in him as a developing character. This is the squidward I wanted to see grow from being a constant butt of every joke and constant victim to every shenanigan both deserved and mostly undeserved. Having finally gotten to live the life he earned for himself after so much shit to go through
Squidwards last scene. He finally decided to stop being so cynical and blaming Mr. Krabs, Squilliam and even Spongebob for his life being so miserable. He misses Bikini Bottom from time to time, but loves his life not as a famous artist, but someone who enjoys his job enough and finds purpose outside of his career and even love from friends and his family that he started years ago. We catch him on a submarine bus on the way to bikini bottom not to move back, but to vacation there and stay with his old friend Spongebob who he cant wait to go jellyfishing with and to laugh with.
Let me set the scene. Squidward is falling in slow motion, Falling from a tall platform that he was performing solo on, but is currently on fire because he let spongebob and Patrick build it. The performance was going great, but just before he could finish the floor gives out. Now he slowly descends to the ground thinking about his life, and in the mere second before he hits the ground, he accepts that he did follow through, and a tear forms as he's proud he got so far
and then a fork fell into his throat somehow and Patrick squeezes it out-- Cause that’s how a modern episode of this idea would’ve played out… WHILE THE OLD EARLY episodes would honestly nailed this with no stupid cutaways or jokes or sugarcoating
AI speech/singing is getting incredible. There are only a tiny handful of moments during the song that I can hear a little bit of AI herky-jerkiness. The vast majority doesn't sound like AI at all. This feels like Squidward capping off the end of the show with one of his rare performances that are successful and well-loved by the people of Bikini Bottom.
I was not expecting this much quality, it’s almost scary how good this is. This could legit be sung by the actual VA. The result of technology is astonishing
Yeah. If you're familiar with the Frank Sinatra version, it's way too accurate to that. Like, you'd have to be a trained singer to match it this well. And practice mimicking it too.
This song makes me imagine a moment where Squidward’s getting ready to perform for the whole town. His heart(s) pumping as he gets stage fright, thinking about his past failures as a clarinet player, All the embarrassing moments. And then…nothing. He musters up the courage to ditch his iconic clarinet and decided to use one thing he’s never used before: his voice. As he’s done singing his heart out performing for all of Bikini Bottom expecting to be boo’ed and heckled off the stage but instead is met with a few seconds of silence…And then a mighty round of applause 😂
The ultimate tragedy of Squidward Tentacles: he will never know that he can sing while desperately trying to pursue his dreams of becoming a clarinet maestro.
Squidward did it . Proved the whole world wrong. He made it big in bikini bottom and is now a worldwide sensation. Used to sing at the bus stop, in front of grocery stores, every chance to perform he’d go for it . At restaurants, parks, schools, gatherings. Now he is Selling out crowds that sing to his songs. Number one making hit after hit. He’s now all over the radio. He did it his way 🥹 We love you Mr. Tentacles. ❤
Oddly enough, I imagine Squidward singing this as an epilogue to "Squidville". After breaking free from the same thing every day, Squidward proudly notes how he likes that he is different from the other squids and that even if things don't go his way all the time, its still HIS life and he wouldn't trade it for anything.
Why is this so genuinely beautiful? He seems like the perfect character to sing this song, asides from mr krabs. So much emotion and feeling delivered by an exceptional AI model.
This would be a great song for Squidward's last appearance. As he finally leaves Bikini Bottom, he looks back on all the memories with Spongebob, and all the others. He sheds a final tear as he looks back at the city, because even though it wasnt perfect by far, Bikini Bottom and it's citizens led Squidward on his own path. His way.
After watchig SpongeBob for over 20 years, seeing Squiward go thru the best of times and (mostly) worst of times, growing up watching him work a dead end job at a fast food restaurant, a failed music career and art career, I must say that this song is just so fitting for Squidward it feels like a finality to his character. That thru it all he indeed did do it his way. Like this damn near brought a tear to my eye.
Same 😭 it's weirdly so fitting and makes me hope he'll actually follow his dreams and find an outlet...or at least continue to find the courage to defy the monotonous druggery of daily life.
When you're a minute and a half in and getting that first mega dose of dopamine only for it to keep building and let you down gently while subtly keep building upon the foundation
Honestly, Squidward Tentaloni will go down as one of the most underrated vocalists of all time. And to think he spent most of his career as a sub-par clarinetist!
This was such a fitting way to end Squidward’s time on SBSP. When he looked back one last time at his old neighborhood before stepping on the bus with his suitcase, and this started playing over a series of flashbacks, I completely lost it. He knows deep down that SpongeBob and Patrick are his best friends. He loves them and will miss him. At the same time, I’m so happy that he’s finally chasing his dreams.
The stutters and similar mistakes of the AI actually somewhat improve the song since it sounds like if Squidward is holding back laughing and crying simultaneously which is fitting.
Squidwards voice is perfect for this. This song is almost dystopian. The intro lyrics, added with the fact that a human did not sing this is oddly creepy
As for me, this is the canon true ending, after the movie and that episode Squidward gets to make his dream come true and becomes a great artist after playing in front of the crowd of a stadium. He fr did it his own way and i am proud to say, THAT character was part of my childhood.
Not sure if anyone will ever see this but this hits really different. It feels like squid ward is actually singing the song. But not just that *he* is singing it, but it feels like he's finally given up on his life. Given up on the suffering. The pain. The torture. 'I left behind the regrets.' By SpongeBob, Mr Krabs, etc etc.. And has left his life behind to pursue a passion of singing 'traveling east' . He feels like he's truly putting everything he's got into singing. And when he sings, he remembers the past and how it's over. How life is finally looking up, but also fear that it might come crumbling down. The lyrics just fit perfectly with his emotion, and the character we've grown up hating, and laughing at him with SpongeBob. He remembered that for every high, there is an equal low. Despite this, he forced life to play by his rules. He did it himself and made himself a success. HE DID IT HIS WAY.
I can imagine this as an alternate ending for SpongeBob were squidward quits his job at the krusty krab and actually follows his dreams and actually becomes a better person because of it. Like he actually admites that he actually cares for spongebob. Just my thought
He always cared for spongebob. Hes just annoying. He didnt hate him, hes defended him multiple times, like in pizza delivery. In modern episodes they make it seem like he hates spongebob. He doesnt. He hates his annoying friend, patrick. Not spongebob
@@DaKingKayden Despite everything, Squidward in a strange way admires SpongeBob for his optimism in a cynical painful world. He's almost jealous, and masks that with his irritation and bullying. Yet in the end he cares for the sponge like a brother (only closer ♥ get it) and knows he'd be emptier without that annoying fry cook.
This cover is where AI is special, and doesn’t take advantage of other singers, this is how everyone should use AI 🥺 Squidward sounds soo amazing as a singer! 😮
I imagine this cover in the last episode of SBSP, where Squidward finds success in what he loves, pursuing his career in singing and clarinet. The very last shot of the episode would be like this: Squidward standing with his back facing at the camera on stage, showing the crowd loudly cheering and throwing roses with Squidward standing still in utter disbelief. The screen then fades to black and the usual credits appear but with an instrumental of this song with flashbacks from all the passed seasons.🙏😭😞
Ive been on a binge of the AI videos and of all the dozens ive seen, this one is by FARRR the best application ive ever heard. Genuinely im dumbfounded. This really does just sound like the voice actor singing.
Hats off to you Mr. Tentacles, for over 20 years you've watched us grow and brought us countless laughs by being yourself. Thank you to the Spongebob creators, especially Stephen Hillenburg, but most of all to the other countless fans who've made creations such as these possible.
This sounds a lot better than it should. No abrupt cuts nor glitchy sounding extending like you hear in memes, it actually extends his voice in the right parts. That's surprising how good it is, like the voice actor really made it sound good.
This is probably the best ai cover of this song, since the ai manages to hit all of the notes, while also keeping squidward sounding like squidward. I'm impressed with the vibrato, which sounds pretty great
because it takes the exact rhythm and notes that sinatra sang, glides, vibrato and all, and applied squidward's vocal timbre to it, so the emotion it captures is just that of the original
Every day, we advance more, and we will absolutely see more cool things coming our way. If this was uberduck, I had placed vocaloid audio into it before and got surprisingly high quality results. I wish I could shake the hands of those who added content to the website! The ability to insert audio and have it changed into the character is mind blowing.
I feel this would fit great at the end of an episode that would go something like this: Squidward actually gets a big concert gig, and is really excited about it, but everything goes wrong along the way. Spongebob wants to be there but squiddy is trying so hard to not let him come. Eventually, when everything does finally line up, squid goes out to perform only to see that no one came, likely from his reputation as a horrible clarinetist. In his sadness and strong self pity, he performs to an empty theater, directly drom his heart instead of for the glamor. He belts out this fantastic cover, and the only person there to see it, ironically, is Spongebob himself, the one person he didnt want to come, who gives him a standing ovation. And idk maybe other people hear it but are unable to pin it to squidward, thus his song gets all the glamor, but squid is completely unnaware of his success. I feel it steps on the toes of a few other episodes, such as band geeks, squidbob tentaclepants, and the one where squid gets a gig as a symphony composer, and mostly the episode where he's an art teacher, but i think it would slap. Squid needs a few more episodes where he wins in the end imo.
Ai is getting so close to being 100% perfect, the only time I noticed was in a couple of places sounds slightly glitchy, but other than that it's scarily accurate. If you showed this to me and never told me what ai was, I would probably think it was actually the voice actor singing it
This is getting too good. It consistently produces the shape of Sinatra's vowels while it keeps sounding like Squidward's voice, and it even manages to do some vibrato.
There's a world where an episode of Sponge Bob ends with Squidward pouring his heart into a cover of My Way, and the *only* person to give him a standing ovation is Sponge Bob.

Squidward might be seen as a loser, but the man knows what he wants and refuses to change himself for anyone. This song is pretty fitting for him.

I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all, and I stood tall
And did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh, no, not me
I did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Some of those gentle cracks legitimately sound like they’re on the edge of tears. It’s very haunting.
@@palopatrol6010 Interesting. Is dubbing with AI less or more common since you need to have some kind of source material

@@qwerty81808 It's not the same at all. I remember crusty sounding AI 2-3 years ago (such as OpenAI Jukebox) didn't get help, but these videos rely heavily on a pre-existing voice sample, like Frank Sinatra's acapella.

Why does this fit so well with his character and how much hope I kinda had in him as a developing character. This is the squidward I wanted to see grow from being a constant butt of every joke and constant victim to every shenanigan both deserved and mostly undeserved. Producers of SpongeBob don't think that way, unfortunately...
In the end after countless episodes, torments and two feature films .. He did it His Way. 🦑

Squidward is falling in slow motion, Falling from a tall platform that he was performing solo on, but is currently on fire because he let spongebob and Patrick build it. The performance was going great, but just before he could finish the floor gives out. Now he slowly descends to the ground thinking about his life, and in the mere second before he hits the ground, he accepts that he did follow through, and a tear forms as he's proud he got so far
and then a fork fell into his throat somehow and Patrick squeezes it out-- Cause that’s how a modern episode of this idea would’ve played out…

If you listen closely at the end you could hear frank
This is amazing. How does the AI capture the emotion and sounds perfectly???
because it takes the exact rhythm and notes that sinatra sang, glides, vibrato and all, and applied squidward's vocal timbre to it, so the emotion it captures is just that of the original
@Rather Not Say yeah. It's literally a perfect map to Sinatra's inflections. Hard not to hear it, but oh man it's good.
I feel this would fit great at the end of an episode that would go something like this:
Squidward actually gets a big concert gig, and is really excited about it, but everything goes wrong along the way.
If you showed this to me and never told me what ai was, I would probably think it was actually the voice actor singing it
Right? But to be fair, the cracks in his voice is fitting for Squidward
for a second I thought this was "I want it that way" by the backstreet boys, but this is 10000000000 times better, so smooth
I thought it's going to be My Way from Limp Bizkit 😂
This is getting too good. It consistently produces the shape of Sinatra's vowels while it keeps sounding like Squidward's voice, and it even manages to do some vibrato.
When he said the end was near he wasn't lying
