Who else is overwhelmed by the thought of LOUD colorful plastic baby gear taking over your home??

A point to bring to the high chair...babies need support at their feet. Look for a foot rest for appropriate postioning during feeding

Great list!! I would also add a snot sucker - I know, it sounds super gnarly haha... but because babies breath so much through their nose, when she got a cold, that thing was gold! Looking forward to more videos :)

Great vid. Awesome topic! I agree with most of your choices and you were lovely to listen to as I set up my own nursery. But why did the video cut off so abruptly? I legit thought I lost WiFi lol.

was wondering if baby cot is necessary, as compared to bassinet, or the cloth cradle that hangs from the ceiling with spring (cos as a baby, i slept in that, and didn't have a cot).
first time mom here and trying to prepare for the baby, thanks for the great video!
saw many other videos about baby-essential items but their list had so many hi-tech expensive stuff that made me wonder if they are really essentials? haha

Hi! I'm not familiar with a cot, but we did use a bassinet for the first several weeks that she slept in our room! In fact, we just used the bassinet that attaches to our stroller base - we didn't buy a separate one! We also didn't use the ceiling-hung cradle (I think here in the US they aren't recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.) So we went from the bassinet to the crib. She's 2.5 years now, and still sleeping in the crib! It will convert to a bed so I think we'll get a few more years use out of it. Hope that helps!

I'm 24 weeks pregnant and your introduction is literally me, that's all I can think of, the mess, the bright colors and just junk all over 🥲:/

It's a real thing! :) I promise though you can totally curate the baby gear to cultivate a calm, plastic-free environment! Think neutral or muted colors, natural materials, and nothing that requires batteries :)
