Daniel, glad you have that grapple for your new tractor. It was great seeing how easy it was to attach to the new tractor. We both know how important it is to “work smarter and not harder.”

That was a great couple seconds of sound when the tree fell. It had all the creaking and popping followed by the thud when it hit the ground. It was perfect!

You are officially my 20mo’s favorite person on RUclips. He was so hype over the animals, the tree and definitely your new toy. He loved this video so much, that he watched it a second time, quietly sitting on the stairs while I got some bedtime chores done. I guarantee if he had the chance to visit your homestead tomorrow, he would not leave.

My wife and I have a Kobota that's only good for mowing. So we decided to get a new tractor in the Spring. We already ordered it and put a down payment on it. We went with a Mahindra with a cap and mini excavator on the rear. Already got the grappling, hay spear and bucket implements at our house. Looking forward to having heat and definitely AC. Hopefully this is our last tractor we need to get.
We spent all this money. And then my doberman (Abby) goes are tares up her entire rear knee, She was fighting off 3 Coyote's. Just incredible when I got out there. I didn't have a clean shot. So had to fire into the ground. Thankfully, the noise scared the coyote's off. Abby walked back to me on 3 legs. Well Abby, had her surgery on Fri and home today. She's really hurting and drugged up too. My heart is breaking for her. I will not let her leave my side. She did get out on the grass and fenced in part of the yard. Now, I have to prevent her from running....for the next 2 months. Going to be quite difficult with a young dog with loads of energy. We did prep out house. Baby gates up on the back deck.
I suppose getting suspended from work....refusal to take vaccine. Our hospital has a mandate for all staff. I'm not anti-vaccine per se. Just I had Covid (circa June 2021), and my anti-bodies and T-cells are still very high. Hence my own body's immune response is working better than a vaccine. No need to take it, if not necessary. Me and several other physicians offered to be blood tested monthly. To ensure our natural immunity and T-cells are still high. Hopefully the hospital accepts our terms. If not I will be terminated. I'm a surgeon who went to some excellent universities. I really don't want to go into private practice. Vanderbilt University, Medical Center, is one of the top rated hospitals in the country. All the physician sign contracts. Just might the university will have to still pay out on my contract. Which I still have 4 years remaining. But I don't like the fact of getting money when I didn't work for it. Sorry for long posting. Just trying to take my mind off of Abby. She is NOT a pet. She's family. My daughters some times tease me that I love Abby more than them. Well, ABby never asks for money. She misses me when I'm gone for 5 mins. What can I say?

Any double trunk tree is dangerous. Anyways cut them down. They often split and then half of the roots are gone. The remaining side usually dies in a few years and blows over easily. Glad you did it. I learned my lesson when one crushed 4 cars in my driveway during a storm. It was on the property line and looked very healthy. Neither of us wanted to pay to remove it earlier as it was a very big pair of oaks.

I am just a simple man and hard working. My great grandad was a homesteader in these United states. I have his john deere 140 model from 1972. I have all the original paperwork including alll the brinly attachments. For those that aren’t aware, the jjohn deere 140 is a small 14 horse single cylinder tractor weighing in at about 700 lbs. It was an extremely innivative conception in 1968 (I have a 1968 12 horse also). Great grandpa did all the old time stuff…plowing with horses and mules. Him and his wife were tough as nails and I knew them both. I guess I bring this up because of how easily you took down that tree and cleaned it up. I could do the same with just a bow saw and muscle, the 140, anything in between or your way. Very cool my friend! Always work smarter not harder but always remember that if fuel can’t be aquired, ummmm…
I love your channel sir, U are a man of many talents.
