Just FABULOUS video so inspiring and professionally composed. Particularly enjoyed the thoughtful choice of music, your production was too classy for any doof-doof or screaming electric guitars. The water shots were exquisite and I wonder with the heat+water that no one seemed to be bothered unduly with any fly, mozzie, or midgee attacks...? Compliments to you all, quite a convivial bunch. 😁
Just found your alternative channel thanks to your latest video on 4xoverland. Really hope this helps the algorithms!!! Maybe the build and product review channel can now post more short videos. I think RUclips rewards daily/frequent content. You deserve 1, 2, million followers.
I’d love to see a rundown of that Triton. Looks like an attainable vehicle build that still gets you out there in the same places as the awesome but more expensive rigs.
Skull springs is one of my favorite places in the Pilbara. Last time I visited was around the end of covid times so I was hoping being so far out of the way it would be a bit quieter than everywhere else, but it wasnt. Unfortunately having kids limits the travelling opportunities to school holidays so I have to put up with people when I travel
On a 3 week trip into the centre of Australia- up the Connie Sue ending up at Alice and then to Birdsville via Hay River Track - my 2018 76s fuel consumption was the same as the modern 4 cylinder cars on the trip - the engine was idling a lot of the time while the smaller engines were working hard
Good to see the the band back together, albeit the front man missing. Thanks for sharing. ps: in these series I consider you the producer ASPW so certainly not a dig at you :)
Another top adventure Andrew. I love the Pilbara. Your photography is so crystal clear. Loved the water shots. I thoroughly enjoy Heiner’s contribution too. He certainly evokes confidence as well as enthusiasm. Lastly your voiceovers and commentary add to the first class production. So happy you have settled here in Perth. Looking forward to seeing your HiAce van conversion in the future.
Exceptional video. Making me miss WA. West is Best indeed. However, Andrew, I challenge you to go to Matso’s in Broome and try their Mango Beer. It’s fucking delicious. Or, head East a bit and come to their Sunshine Coast brewery in Eumundi.
Australians are way ahead of your American friends as all good Australian beer comes with a twist top, so need for USA made classes with a bottle opener!...
Love this type of travel. Fun, relaxed and real. One of your best. Up there with the solo trip and crossing Australia, and nearly as good as your first Canning trip (the best ever). Would the 4wd Hiace have tackled the driving as well as the Troopy?
Andrew, I loved this, but I'd really have liked some info on where you were... A map or two and something on the distance travelled. It might have been a short film on a short trip - but I sensed the camera could have caught more for further episodes. No criticism intended - I suppose I am harking back to longer trips
🎉you have chosen the wrong time of the year to be in that area. We were through there back in july/ August and temps were really pleasant ie mid to high twenties.
Hello Andrew, been following you for a little while now. But I was thinking, why not do the opposite with your channels? This channel is named “Overland Workshop”, shouldn’t it be more about the different products and builds and advice needed for overlanding. And the other 4x overland channel be more about your overlanding adventures? Like the titles of the channel/the names of the channel, don’t really match and are actually opposite with the content you give out.
I’ve heard him mention before in videos that the adventure videos don’t get as much views compared to the build videos. So keeping the build videos on the main channel makes him more money is my guess.
Awesome Gentlemen, Pure motivation to get going to fit my wagon to get some moments of adventure and freedom. Maybe Andrew or Heiner can get me some recommendations regarding the Klarmann power station. G Wagon isn’t the spaciest plus Europe has plenty of climates and accordingly need to calculate various options for example sleep inside then upstairs. So every component should be functional just like compact. Anyway you fuelled perfectly the passion while having with dark sky wett and cold fucking November weather in northern Germany. it was a pleasure to watch with some Spanish Red wine! Well done Gentlemen
Hi Andrew, thank you for your amazing videos.. What drone do you use for your great air shots,, and what Sat nav do you use especially in Africa with all it's intricate little bush roads, Craig.
This is my favourite style of content from you. No other channel inspires me to do this quite like yours. I thank you immensely however my wallet does not. 😂
Watched your Botswana trip, camping in the Kaprivi, elephant, lion, hyena bush sounds and sightings. But this? Drive miles and miles just to camp under a tree,no bushlife around you? And as for that constant swatting of flies, no man. Africa any day.
Andrew, I absolutely love watching both of your channels. In “ 4x4 Water Hunt “ please, please, please, I have to know what is the music track that is playing at the 27:03 mark? I absolutely love it!! Thank you.
Stopped at 1.11- im a valuer and my major clients have mines and cattle stations where you are. Inwatched ghe station manager chase down campers who meandered through the place. Everything was “diffused” but he explained theyve had some dreadul experiences just saying
Unfortunatley, it's no secret anymore once everybody knows about it. Hopefully, these pristine spots don't get spoiled with rubbish and floating toilet paper like so many former "secrets" that were promoted by influencers on social media to gain some measly bucks from RUclips income. Apart from that, great episode!
[30:10] Why not just run the engine and put the AC on and stay in the troopy living room. Many do that, such as: Taxis, Police vehicles, Delivery vehicles, Construction vehicles, Emergency vehicles, School buses, Public transportation buses...etc
Google says: Marrons are delicious. They are a true luxury for the tastebuds, just imagine crayfish or lobster without the salty seafood taste or aroma. So what you are getting is a clean tasting meat, which many have described as being sweeter than the aforementioned seafood products. 🤮 Not for me, thanks. They just look too awful 🙈
I'm a bit conflicted about these sort of videos.....dont get me wrong, I enjoy them and the locations that you share, but then there's no special places for the rest of us to work out for ourselves until they become on a rat run.
This is found-footage survival-horror B-movie material in fact. Here the plot: « Seasoned overlander Andrew St-Pierre flanked by its 2 man-buned sidekicks travel the australian desert oblivious of the danger etc..»
I am very aware of the dangers. I also know how much the danger is exaggerated, especially overseas. I see far more snakes in North America than Aus. And more in Africa too. The scariest encounter on this trip was that centipede. 7 years touring Australia and I've seen 5 snakes, only three venomous and none posed a threat.
@@overlandworkshop Fair enough, but I am always interrogative when I see people crawling under a truck, using a chainsaw etc only protected by a pair of flip/flop. A friend of mine had his legs burned to the third degree when he popped the hood and a radiator hose blown. He wasn't wearing any pants and opened shoes.

Hah ha. The instant I hear screaming electric guitars, which seem to be the go-to choice for 4wds channels, I too run away screaming.
canning stock or not, this is the best trip, best trip video ever. just simple, drive off, enjoy, making jokes, having fun, make fun of each other.
That FEEED!! Mate you blokes absolutely nailed it

That's the point of this. thank you for understanding the logic.
What a great trip and video.
To me this is your best work yet Andrew, really enjoyable to watch.
I’d love to see a rundown of that Triton. Looks like an attainable vehicle build that still gets you out there in the same places as the awesome but more expensive rigs.
The new 2.8 cruiser looks amazing
Nice video Andrew really enjoyed this one!
These campsites are wonderful, I’ve traveled most of Australia but those were the best I’ve seen. This is your best work todate
Thanks for sharing Andrew. 👍
what a wonderful trip, nothing better than to enjoy nature with some dear friends.

Hands down the best thing you've done! I really enjoyed the editing and overall style. I know the Canning is your favorite but this one is better.
Absolutely amazing. Living in the moment like you said is the most important thing mate ❤ greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Another brilliant trip. Really enjoyed this although it did lack Rob being there 😊
“The top oke” dig was gold😂
Thank you for letting us know of the channel format change.....
let's hope RUclips plays ball now.
Very Good Trip, Very good Filming !!! Cheers from Germany
Loved it. What an enjoyable way to spend an hour and a half!
Paused at the 22min mark- the food! The scenery! The adventure! The build! Im very glad I came a ross to this channel Andrew
Magic
best one yet
Awesome!
Ooh really enjoying this one 👍🏻 seems a bit relaxed and that’s how the Pilbara always made me feel when I lived in Newman. Great job team
Red dirt, makes any overlanding trip an adventure
starlink enables weird conversations: "hey mate what are you doing?" - "well, went for a swim in the desert, hope i catch some fish later"
The shadow wave at the end! Beautiful.
One of my favourite areas in Australia that I've explored and Karlamilyl National Park is the cream on top

my 2024 V8 troopy getting 11.4 L/100 with full of camping gear. Gotta a love the V8
Just subscribed to your alternate channel Andrew, wise decision to do this it makes a lot of sense.
Excellent content as usual Andrew what a great trip.
ASPW is more hydrophobic than Rain-X. This is the most i have ever seen him do water crossings. I am enjoying this one.
Thank you Andrew we look forward to watching your stand alone travel shows

Bloody brilliant water crossing Andrew, I would not attempt that alone either, unless walkin it out first of corse.
Great fun!

Great episode Andrew, thoroughly enjoyed it
Fantastic trip. Really enjoyed the video
Andrew, where did the canoe come from around 44min?
For me it's Saturday morning, I'm sitting in front of my PC, empathizing with them experiencing the heat ... and having a ice cold beer.
What a great video, thank you. Hopefully I will get over there one day.
Thank you so much for this excellent video

Hello from a very stormy, cold and wet Arbroath
🎉you have chosen the wrong time of the year to be in that area. We were through there back in july/ August and temps were really pleasant ie mid to high twenties.
Well, yes and no. The high temps meant no people. So we got the best spots to camp.
The zebra troopy is back! 🦓🦓🦓
what a great idea! I should redo the wrap Zebra-style.

We thought the same as the titles of the channels seem to be the opposite content. Time will tell I suppose 😮
I agree, Andrew’s absolutely got it the wrong way around.
4xoverlanding about travel
Overland workshop about workshops and gear reviews, builds etc.
and chop up these hour and a half posts. 3 parts would help his algorithm here. @@lastknownlocation8760
Awesome ep and places and water holes guys, I take it back your so good what country you film in , loved it
Nice pool @ Dessert Queen Baths where you camped, very cold though😅
Your best video in a long time, no that the others are bad but this was so related bleeding, great video
Cheers 🥂🍻🥂
Really enjoyed this, thank you Andrew. Where did you get the seat organiser that’s on the passenger seat? I need something like that!
its a camera case/bag.
Amazing as usual.
It is a bit unfortunate that the Indian ocean was yet again "disappointing."
Reminds one of a certain lake that never disappointed.

from the soundtrack of the movie, Secret Life of Walter Mitty. (this video is not monetised)
@ Thank you. You are a treasure.
Where are these camps? We will be heading over there in May next year

Will the Mitsubishi Triton prove to outdo all the Toyotas again? Interesting watch.
Love the video Andrew. Do you ever get leeches in these pools? Australian leeches will chew your arm off and eat it whole.
no. Truthfully, didn't think of them. Ive had leeches grab me and pull me under in Africa. Scary!
What time of year were you travelling
Late October.
Still got the Rangie Andrew? Are you still looking to sell it to fund a late model softdash as a nice daily? Cheers mate
That was awesome its amazing what is out there
One question
What camera do you use for the time lapse shots
this time I used a Intsa360 Ace Pro. Not as good as my big Sony, but fast and far easier to use and render.
@@overlandworkshop Thanks for that info but just one other question. how did you keep it running all night
Interesting fact for the adventure; Did you know that some of the oldest rocks in the world are in the Pilbarra ironstones. 3.6bn years old.😅
There are no crocodile in these waters in western Australia
none.

The statement about private land is applicable in the US as well. And we are well armed here. Don't piss off a private land owner.
Aussie farmers are well armed too.
Must be a good feeling to not have to change gears for once?
Andrew, theres a typo on simplicity on Egon's motto @2:22
embarrassed!
blame the ad agency. Six months and nobody noticed their design's fault.

they are called Marron. They can be eaten. But we don't because they are bit small.

Is that a good idea to walk barefoot and almost naked in such a remote place infested by venomous snake and other charming creatures?
