I was there this past Sunday. I got 4 rides on this underrated beast of a coaster. It was running amazing. Two train operations and didn’t break down once all day. Surpassed my expectations. Kennywood has another one of a kind/world class coaster.
Yeah they are definitely amazing when I went there they were only running one of the cars so we were in line like 2 hours but 100% worth it wish I would’ve gotten to ride it again though but they shut it down before I could again
I think this ride gets unfairly underrated by a lot of enthusiasts. The rattle is definitely there but the layout is so good that it really doesn’t even matter. This thing is very similar (imo) to some of the older B&Ms. In fact, I would say the two rides I’ve ridden that it’s most similar to are Kraken and Seaworld Orlando and Kumba at BGT.
I live 15 minutes away from Kennywood and I went with my son yesterday for the first time in like 6 year's and I rode the steel curtain, that ride is extremely intense 😂 I'm not a roller coaster guy anymore but I'll say that's one of the best coasters I've ever been on. I'm glad my baby mama talked me into going on it lol.
The last time I had went to Kennywood, they hadn’t even finished this ride. After over 3 years of riding ABSOLUTELY NOTHING a few days ago I decided to make this my first ride back and boy, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. What a rush!
I was lucky to ride in opening year and WHOOOO! Must-do at Kennywood, Steel Curtain is actually my favorite roller coaster at the park. Then comes Jack Rabbit and Phantom's Revenge
@@Kennywood_Fanatic I hate those bunny hills at the end, that’s why I call it rough. But yes, I can agree Sky Rocket is the smoothest coaster in the park.
The camera seems to be pointed slightly upward. I like the original POV better, with Tunch's (RIP) voice and Geno (you alright?!?) standing at the platform in the beginning.
@@SnowmisersCollection I heard a wheel had maybe fallen off or something but looking around the internet I can’t find anything about it. I think I may have been thinking of The Bat at Kings Island. My bad!
The first climb was just too long lmao I was terrified. Literally cried on this ride but I can see why people love it. The view is incredible at the very top.

You’re braver than I am. I’d be begging to get off

i freaking love this ride and i cant wait to go on it again
Same
Rode it 3 times 2 days ago. Best ride I’ve ever rode. I absolutely love this ride.
In my opinion phantom's is better
I think the steel curtain is enter but the phantom is great
@@Kennywood_Fanatic phantom is too rough, this is the smoothest ride in the park.
@@RMsteelerfan7 i don't think phantom rough and I think curtain has a rattle. Although the smoothest ride in the park us 100% skyrocket

dude that climb hill scares the shit out of me
but the rest if the coaster is amazing
I was just there last night for a few hours and I got 3 rides on steel curtain in a row it was great!
Coming from a browns fan… definitely a top 3 coaster for me.
The lady laughing the whole ride is my type of rider! You know she had fun!
Should have put speakers in the headrests and played Renegade during the ride.
You can't hear too well in this video but they play renegade during the first hill though the speakers aren't in the head rest
I could only hear it at the top of the first hill
Woo, I love this ride
This ride gave me whiplash
I like how it says all clear fast

It’s one of those self-stabilizing cameras.
I literally cannot wait for next Sunday I'm so pumped for it!!!!
I love this coaster and wish that you would turn the audio up louder so we can hear Renegade better.
This ride is more fun than the Phantoms Revenge.
Wrong! 😂
Damn this thing got some sick corkscrews! Definitely need to try this one day!
"Corkscrews"
Dang I just went there today
Sat in line for an hour to ride this yesterday. Would do it again.
Lift hill giving people time to reflect 😂
Amazing coaster!
😮
i'm coming for a ride in 2025. can't wait.
i’m so excited to come back to kennywood this summer omg
@goofyahhsleftnut it wasnt open when i went 😔
I loved it I went on it twice in one day
The king of dive loops!
The last time I went it was closed! Seems like it always is. Thunderbolt was closed too!!
Pretty sure Thunderbolt had an incident
@@triple7marc what happened?!

maybe i was there on the same day. went with my young cousins from out of state and both were closed that day. i was hoping to take them on both rides
Such a strange layout
I don’t get why they’re saying this is the tallest coaster in Pennsylvania. Isn’t the phantom a bit taller than the steel curtain?
Nope, this is taller by 60 feet. That’s the 2nd drop of the Phantom you are talking about (228 feet I believe.)
Tallest in height not drop
Does this mean it's up and running again
@@aaliyahd4422 bet
Looks like a great layout, but that lift hill looks longer than the actual ride. Slowest lift hill I think i've ever seen.
Kennywood is my Home Park. Slow chain lifts is a norm. Phantoms Revenge has a slow lift as well
How can people ride this 😭😭😭
It’s always closed, so they can’t😭😭😭
The first climb was just too long lmao I was terrified. Literally cried on this ride but I can see why people love it. The view is incredible at the very top.
first lol
Ye
Fourth
Third
steel curtain is overhated
5th
This new POV sucks
