What a strangely beautiful place. The view of the beach and lighthouse took my breath away. The Pacific coast is definitely different than the Atlantic. Great vid Michael and Leslie 💜
The Pacific Coast is absolutely breathtaking and I feel fortunate to have grown up in the Pacific NW. An early Spanish explorer thought there was a river entering the ocean (where the Columbia R is) because of the wild currents created by the outflow of the river combined with the tide; he didn't try to enter the Columbia because the surf was treacherous and his crew was sick; they headed south to continue their exploration of the west coast Then a British explorer came with the Spanish explorer's map and conclude there was no river, just a large bay. He called it Deception Bay because he felt deceived by the Spanish explorer and he called the land form Cape Disappointment. Had to learn that in WA state history. I enjoy your vlogs!
Awesome video, I really love that area camped there a few times. North head lighthouse is one of my favorite lighthouses and looks great after the remodel. We should shoot milky way up at cape disappointment lighthouse since now you can walk up to. Use to be military owned a couple years ago and couldn't walk up to it. Once again great video
