Hi Harbinder! Truth be told, since the day this video was made, I have never made this pickle. I have been thinking about doing this. We did make sure the jars were sterilized by immersing in boiling water. We did refrigerate the pickle - I know many don't, but we didn't want to take the risk. I also consumed it so fast, it wouldn't have mattered. Thank you for reminding me, Mom is long gone, and I have to make this myself again.

I usually just use regular Canola Oil, I haven't experimented with Olive Oil and Mustard would be too strong. It should keep for at least 6 months ... but you will likely finish it sooner :) Thanks for sharing about your mom - I'm sure she was amazing.
Looks divine - another memory of my mum making it. Sorry to hear about your mums passing. This is definitely another recipe for me to try out - I live in Ottawa and if we don't make it at home, we have no good Indian restaurants where we can get these dishes.

Do we need to refrigerate the bottles once made, or can they be stored in the pantry.
Usually people say you can leave it out, but I always prefer to keep it in the fridge.
