    Reminds me of Steve Vai's 90s sound, he had an epic setup with his 'rack o'wham' , I think it was before he got his carvin legacy signature amp, and was probably using bogner ecstasy, G3 96 was the last of his amazing tone before it became more harsh and sharper than an ice pick...

    You are EASILY my FAVORITE rig builder out of everyone. Your racks and boards are amazing and the tones are so wet and clear and so heavy and just everything! Those Tyler's are beautiful too lol when it comes to signal chain for these 80s cleans is there an order of effects you follow or is it just random? Please let me know and keep these videos coming!

      Thanks. You can plug switch between a head and the preamp in the rack.

    Lovely job as usual Dave! I'm a cae3+ owner myself and am looking for a power amp atm... do you recommend the 2:90? I'm sure youve played them all at this stage so I value your opinion! Thanks!

    Sounds great. I've noticed you often put the CAE in a loop (eg: L2 CAE 3+). Is there a reason for putting the preamp in the loop rather than just being "in line"?? Thanks

    • @RACKDOCTOR
      @RACKDOCTOR  Год назад +1

      Thanks. There is a rack wah mounted in back in L1 as well as a Torpedo Captor X in L3 to slave a head thru the rack.

    I have two questions. When it comes to the "pitch shift/detune effect" do you prefer an Eventide or a Yamaha SPX 90? And as far as speakers go do you prefer Celestion Vintage 30s or EVM12Ls?
